A+ Terrific Body Shop! Looking at the two negative reviews on here, I cannot speak to Kyle's experience, except to say I dealt with the owner myself, and had a terrific experience. Judging by the timestamp and language, the other review is clearly by Kyle's lady friend, who by her own admission has never patronized this establishment. In my research, I have found that this shop has been in continuous operation under the same owner for many decades. They have a great reputation in the community. They also have an A+ rating from the BBB. Two of the three manufacturer's garages for my car in the area are not run by good people. My dad recently came out of retirement to be a project manager for General Motors. I know just enough to see when I'm treated fairly. Based on my experience, Murphy's Auto Center is the most honest body shop in town. A+ in our book. For mechanical work, I've had A-/B+ experiences with Complete Automotive (23060). For glasswork, Fine Windshield Repair (23294) is unrivaled. A+ in my book. He fixed a crack in my windshield that the big name local shops said was "impossible" to repair. State inspection said the windshield is perfect since Mike's repair. read more

Absolutely do not recommend them at all. Brought my car in for repairs to the body and when I picked it up there were scratches still on the new bumper, the hatch door did not line up properly, the back door was not lining up and the paint on the roof was peeling. Also my 2 yr old battery was dead when I picked it up and now has to be replaced. Prior to bringing it to them it worked just fine. When I addressed this with the owner he was adamant it was my fault and took 'zero' responsibility and did not once apologize. They took my insurance company for $3K. That's what I get trying to bring business to the local guy! I have since taken it to Royal Collision on West Broad and am getting it repaired. Very good service and have worked with me from the beginning. They understand who the customer is. Mr Murphy is one sour old man who just wants cash from the insurance company. read more

Absolutely great service. I needed to have a bumper replaced; the estimate was quick and well researched. Since I did not have transportation, they offered to paint the bumper when it came in and then I would only have to wait for the repair. Very considerate. It took less than 20 minutes to complete the work. Very pleasant staff and the owner was super nice to me. I absolutely cannot imagine anyone in the office or in the shop treating anyone rudely. Everyone that came into the waiting room while I was there, acknowledged me in a courteous manner. I would not hesitate to recommend them. This was the second time they'd done work for me. read more

Murphy's just repaired my daughters car after a deer hit to the front end. Every painted part matched perfectly. The seams around the fender and bumper were also perfect. The car was returned ahead of schedule and clean as a pin. Great people who care about their work! read more

Brought my car in to get the bumper and back window repaired - and they were the cheapest of 3 quotes ($3K was the quote). It two weeks to repair and when I picked it up the doors did not align, nor did the hatch. There were scratches on the bumper and the paint was peeling on top. Plus my battery was dead. Sounds like a repeat of another customer. I called the owner and he said I could bring it back so they could fix it. Isn't that why I took it there in the first place. Richmond is too competitive, and why would I trust them a second time. especially when the owner I spoke to was trying to make me feel that it was my fought. Not once did he apologize. And when I asked about replacing the battery that kept dying after they worked on it, he refused and said it was probably an old battery (3 yrs old exactly). After reviewing the job they did, my insurance company said that if I take it back there, it is on my own dime. But if I take it to Royal Collision they will cover the entire cost - again! I had a rental and this was the location to be last known I first have been calling for almost a week with no answer but when they answered today 10/31 Anne answered . At first I was frustrated because it seemed as if they didn't even have the car Ann then said well it's leaving today, I said well iell pick my belongings up from enterprise. Ann stated oh it's not going to enterprise it's going to the auction out Christiansburg, va .. now i have 2 car seats and other belongings in this car and you sent it with out letting me know omg. So Ann continues to help . The 2 call Vickie answered and Vickie is beyond rude for no reason I ask simple questions can I have the company's name and number and address to this location she yells I don't have the number or information somebody left it on ya voicemail. I continue to say well ms it's no need to tell why are you yelling at me she said because you are asking me questions I can't answer! I continue to ask well how do i find my things she yells put me on hold comes back still rude and yelling gives me the number and I think she transferred me back to ann either or this is about Vickie being rude and mean for no reason and Thank you Ann for being professional and a sweet heart even after I got frustrated with her (Ann) I only gave 3 stars for Ann read more

I have brought my car to this establishment multiple times and have always walked away 100% satisfied. The first time that I got my car fixed- there was an issue but the resolved it immediately. It's sad to see all of these negative comments about this shop. I have dealt with pretty much everyone there and they have always been professional and respectful to me and others in the office. If you value your car DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT trust this low quality establishment. My 2007 BMW 335i was involved in a small accident (sideswipe) and this establishment treated not only my property but myself like complete SHIT. Not only did they do a half ass job, they caused more damages to the inside then tried to tell me that is how I brought my car there. I have photographic proof to prove otherwise they then refused to fix the issue and the OWNER turned his back to me and walked away. I was extremely disrespected by not only the head manager there but by THE OWNER. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. They lie and steal your insurance companies money. They made me pay my deductible for unfinished work. They claim to guarantee all work for life yet they withheld that option from me because I saw things that THEY did wrong with my car. I still can not believe the experience I had here. When I got my car back, my window was out of alignment and wouldn't go down all the way, they destroyed the tint on my window, the weather strip on my window was not installed back properly and they refused to fix it. I was told "I don't think we can work with you anymore" "I don't have to work with you" when none of this was MY fault. I was yelled at and talked down to. Was told that my car wasn't in perfect condition and they tried to point out other flaws about my car. The sad part is that my girl took an audio recording of the encounter because the first time these guys said the most nasty things to me. And surprisingly not every encounter since we have had to record everything because they continued to talk shit to us and tell us some of the most outlandish things Ive ever heard anyone say to me. That's not even the half of this month long encounter with these folks. After all of this, my car still isn't fixed and I have to take my car to Burleighs which I have heard nothing to great things about. If you value your hard earned dollar and the worth of your vehicle, DO NOT GO HERE. read more
