They are just the best, trust them for all our car needs and have used them since moving to the area in 2019.

This was, without question, the worst experience I've ever had with an auto repair shop…read more My car was towed here because it wouldn't start. Before anyone even looked at the car, they decided my key fob was the problem. They took it apart with screwdrivers and pliers despite me insisting the whole time that considering the symptoms it would be nearly impossible for this to be the reason my car wasn't starting. I did a quick google search that proved this and showed them but they dismissed it and were determined to get the key opened.....Once they got it open they told me the problem was someone had "glued the key closed and the chip in there was corroded by the glue". An hour later, they admitted the key was not the issue and sloppily glued it back together. The dealership later informed me the key is factory sealed and is not meant to be opened. They damaged the casing and did an awful job putting it back together. Over the week, I was given a revolving door of explanations. First it was the fuel pump, then supposedly they were sent the wrong parts, then it was no longer the fuel pump and needed to be reprogrammed. They also told me they put starter fluid in the car and that was why my car was now starting, but the dealership later told me later that same day that there was no evidence of starter fluid ever being used....... They had my car for a week, still had no diagnosis and they initially tried to still charge me a $150 diagnostic fee. When I picked up my car, it had fresh scratches on the hood and trunk that were not 100% not there when I dropped it off. The entire experience was incredibly unprofessional. My concerns were repeatedly dismissed, I was talked over, my key was unnecessarily damaged, my car was returned scratched on the hood and the trunk, and not a single person apologized when I went to get my car. I would not trust this shop with my vehicle and absolutely would not recommend them.

Very friendly and courteous. Very nice waiting area and 'free' Christian Brothers branded water bottles. Most people understand 'free' things are not actually free . . . that includes the water bottles and 'free' courtesy shuttles. I took my 2010 Mustang there to have the rear brakes repaired - due to a frozen caliper. The 'Diagnostic Test' was $165, which I paid and then took my car out of there as fast as I could. The cost quoted for repair was ludicrous, so I asked if I could supply the parts (I am a former Auto Parts Manager, so am comfortable with this) - they said sure - the quote for just the labor . . . $631.91. Note - the book time for this is 1-1.5 hours. I declined and took it to another shop . . . $280 for labor and that is where the work was done. As mentioned in some other reviews, the 'free' (there's that word again) 'courtesy inspection' came up with every conceivable 'flush/fill' and things like Spark Plug replacement ("due to age of vehicle") even though I replaced them myself a month ago. Total for all the 'courtesy inspection' items . . . ready . . . ready . . . $8,255.59. How about a few more examples: Replace License Plate Light Bulb ($74.50) - I actually just took care of this myself before sitting to write this review ($15 for the pair and about 10 minutes taking my time), Replace Front Struts (parts cost $250 and labor book time 1.2 to 1.6 hours for both sides) . . . $1,456.38. Replace Cabin Air Filter (part cost $15 - labor book time 0.2 to 0.3 hours or 10-15 minutes) . . . $132. Replace valve cover gaskets (part cost $20, labor time 1.5 to 2.5 hours) . . . $632.20. You get the idea. Outrageous pricing . . . but the 'free' bottle of ice-cold water was excellent!

I got an oil change from them and they told me that I would have to wait until September 30th to get a specialist to look at my car. They let me know they believed it was either I needed a new transmission or possible engine problems on a SUV with 70k miles. I googled around for a transmission place and read the reviews on Speedy and they were good so I decided to take a shot with them. When I got there the office manager was a young man who was extremely polite and professional. He let me know they would do a diagnostic check on the transmission and listen for the noise. After about 45 minutes the owner Luis called me over and let me know that he thinks that the car just needed transmission fluid. He let me know he put a clamp on the hose to stop it from leaking and then we got into the car and took it for a test ride. There was no more noise and the car was not jumping every time I stepped on the gas. Luis charged me $80 for everything. I thanked him for his honesty because he easily could have told me I needed a new transmission. The Ford dealership wanted to charge me $150 each for a diagnostic check on the engine and transmission. How could they not see that it needed fluid. Well they have just lost a customer and Speedy and Luis have just gained a new one. The icing on the cake is after talking with Luis and his son (office manager) we realized we are from the same area in Florida and we lived about 7 minutes apart. Great to see another Florida person. I highly recommend Speedy. Honesty is everything to me and these guys showed it. Thank you Speedy!

However my car suffered from this place so i had taken my car to another repair shop but because of the costs i didnt want to pay 12k so speedys actually towed the car for me to their shop and said the could do it for damn near half of the other shop price. I paid roughly 6-7k to obtain a used engine with 32k miles on it . Took a while but i didnt want to rish them since it was a big job. They also replaced my catalytic converters for like 1500$ I should have just spent the 12k with theother shop because after taking it back to speedys three times because my coolant alert kept popping up and it was literally draining out of the car. I knew something was wrong . They said they didnt see anything only for the car to begin blowing out a bunch of smoke from under the engine and the check engine light came on. I literally spent an additional 8k to fix what this place messed up. I should have reported this place to the attorney general's office since the other shop stated everything wasn't even in spec . As a place that does emissions i could have had the shut down but only because they were nice i didn't make the call. I should have taken it to court but again they can read about it here on this review . I would not recommend any foreign car owner to take your car here theres clearly a lack of knowledge and understanding. I have an audi A8 btw. Never again

The owner stated it may take 1-2 months because he does not handle paperwork and suggested I pressure the warranty company, which is unacceptable and unlawful. The shop is withholding my vehicle, leaving me without transportation in hazardous winter conditions. So, I don't like to write…read morenegative reviews, but I feel compelled to write this one because honestly, this situation made me really angry the more I thought about it and I feel it's important to share with other women who may consider having their vehicles serviced here. I am selling my 2007 Honda that has been very well maintained and has been one of the best cars that I have ever owned. But it has about 200k miles and I felt it was time to get a newer model. On my suggestion, I met the potential buyer (another woman) at this Shell station where she had arranged to have them do a "courtesy check" (which was in itself $134). Upon inspection, they found an oil leak. I rang my boyfriend (who is a mechanic) to ask him to come and look at it. When he looked, he said he felt that the leak was minor and could likely easily be fixed. But I could tell that Shell mechanic was irritated. They told the buyer that they would write up an estimate for repair. Later as I was returning from moving the car into a parking spot I walked into a conversation that the mechanic was having with the buyer stating that the car was going to be nothing but problems for her and that my boyfriend was a "complete idiot and had no idea what he was talking about"! They had also produced her with an estimate of over $3,600 worth of work that they were suggesting should be done to the car before she should even consider buying it!! When I reviewed the estimate, it included a new timing chain kit, air filters, polishing the headlights, tie rod ends, a license plate light bulb a valve cover gasket set, and a few other things... NONE of which were actually wrong with the car but Shell felt like could go wrong at any moment! The oil change repair was not even included in the estimate! When I asked a second time if any of these items were damaged currently, the man at the desk said no, but they could go at any moment. He suggested I dump the car or try to sell it to a dealer. Needless to say, the lady didn't buy the car. I went home and looked up the price for a new Timing Chain Kit with Water Pump and was shocked to see it at Advance Auto Parts for $137!! The same part that Shell was charging $1,436.66 for and an additional $1,000 in labor!!! I also read that most timing chains last as long as the engine does... which is beyond 300k miles with a Honda! I then called Halls (who does much of the service on my car) who said that the timing chain on my car was in good working shape and was just inspected a couple of months earlier!! In looking back through reviews here, this seems to be a common practice with this service station. Whether they are rejecting an inspection and claiming there are significant repairs that are needed or overinflating problems and prices to line their own pockets! I'm sure this review will receive some response claiming to validate their position. But my advice to you, is to go somewhere else...unless you like being called an idiot, or being treated like you are a dumb female or paying them money for the sake of paying them money! There are plenty of service stations that will be HONEST and will treat you professionally with respect, so save yourself the aggravation (and a substantial amount of money) and go elsewhere!!

They were nice and fixed my car's issue quickly which I appreciate. I do feel like they upcharged…read moresome for the labor, considering how fast the job was. Ultimately a lot of the time one has to take mechanics at their word (unless you're a car expert yourself) and while I believe they were honest and diagnosed the problem accurately it did seem too expensive.
