Been to the Framingham location 5 times since they opened. Roast Beef sandwiches have been excellent. They were out of Roast Beef once so we tried the pastrami - an excellent choice also - not greasy at all. Out of Roast Beef another time so we tried the fried clams - again excellent - wish there had been more!!! Ice cream is great also. Very clean. Staff very courteous. Ice cream expensive $14 for one small and one large but both were about same amount. Toll house ice cream was like crumbly uncooked cookies with miniscule choc chips sparingly throughout. They were gracious to change it because there must have been cross contamination with strawberry (strand in it). Teens at window very nice though. read more

My first time at Murphy's was a real treat. Best fish and chips I've eaten in a long, long time, and at a very good price. Staff at counter and staff who brought me my food were cheerful and friendly. And you know how diners often have a greasy atmosphere that lingers on your clothes and in your hair? Stopped in for the first time because I was craving clam strips and fried scallops. What I wanted was a 1/2 and 1/2 dinner plate. They were not able to do it so I ended up buying a scallop dinner with onion rings and a clam roll minus the bun. The food was quite good, unfortunately not really crunchy coating which I was hoping for. They were knocked down for the inflexibility and the not crunchy coating. We had a great experience at Murphy's eats and treats. The building is newly renovated and has a bright atmosphere. The business is locally owned and uses fresh ingredients. I've had both the fish sandwich and lobster roll and both were phenomenal, served on fresh buttered rolls/buns. My family all had the fresh-made burgers, which were of ample size and the meat was very tender. They also offer homemade onion rings, which may be my favorite offering. Ice creams were good- they offer free sprinkles. I also like selection of drinks like the raspberry lime Ricky and soda floats. The staff are all very professional and friendly and one of the owners is commonly on site to ask how things are going. We will definitely be regulars here and you should try it too! read more

I have seen this place around for a while. At first I thought it's some kind of Ben & Jerry's place. Turns out it is a mom and pap fast food restaurant. There are ample of parking spaces. Got in and checked the place out. The owner was very friendly. Pricing is very reasonable. Decided to get a Murphy's Burger to go. The burger is unexpectedly juicy and tasty. The fried onion and crispy bacon are just bonus. All the ingredients taste fresh and made to order. Love it. Usually I don't talk about burger, but this one is really good. Ordered two cups of ice cream. Real simple, one flavor each. My girl got hers. I even reminded them of my order when hers came out and was assured "it's on its way." Came here when they first opened and it was clear they were still working the kinks out much like any new eatery. I didn't write a review then because I wanted to give them another shot first. Waited a couple weeks before coming back and was more than satisfied with service, food and overall experience. The seafood is definitely fresh, and they make everything to order. An order of chicken fingers can easily be split between 2 people and the same goes for pretty much all their sides. Decided to try Murphy's for the first timCame in during the later afternoon for a simple take out order, the place wasn't very busy and the counter and kitchen seemed to have plenty of staff. Had to wait 5 minutes before someone came to take our order. After waiting nearly 40 minutes for our food and watching multiple orders that were placed after mine walk out the door I asked requested a refund. The order had not even been started and no thought to ask what I was waiting for despite not being very busy. Really disappointing experience. Update: we decided to give Murphy's another try. This time the order was done quickly and was correct. We were finally able to judge the food that others had raved about and previous reviews were spot on. The burgers were great, the fried clams were terrific, and the fries and onion rings were a good compliment. Hopefully our first experience was just a bad first impression. Update #2: we've given Murphy's a few additional tries since my last update and the food has been consistently great. Definitely try the burgers! The service has been terrific. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They treat you like friends. Definitely recommend giving them a try if you're in the area or up for a road trip. Parking- ample. Interior- clean. Bathroom- also clean Staff- helpful. Food- excellent. We had a clam plate, fish sandwich, chicken fingers and a burger. The burger looked to have been handmade. Everything was fried perfectly. You could tell they made the chicken fingers themselves by the texture of the chicken and the breading. The fish sandwich was thick and flaky and delicious. Excellent, all of it. Only thing I would be critical of is the coleslaw which was boring, but who cares about coleslaw? Ice cream- the kids got bowls of black raspberry and strawberry- pretty good. Wife got a cone of mint chocolate chip- pretty good. Me, I got a "death by chocolate" frappe and this thing was a gem. It was thick and chocolatey and it was huge considering the price. Blew me away. This place was a great find. I'm not sure how often I'll be coming through Ashland, but I will in all seriousness be trying to stop in here every time. read more

We've been patiently watching the construction and waiting for Murphy's Eats & Treats to open, and after a few bumps in the road, we were happy to see that they opened last week. The old Tasty Treat closed before we moved to town, so I have nothing to compare it to, but the place was bright, welcoming and extremely clean. We ordered at the counter and the high-school aged staff taking orders at the counter were friendly and pleasant. It was busy for a Monday at 6:45pm - a great sign. I ordered the clam strip plate and my husband a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The clams were fresh, hot and well-seasoned and the tartar sauce was amazing! Fries needed a bit of salt but the portion was big and I couldn't finish them. My husband said his burger was good. We both tried a scoop of ice cream on a cone - snickers and mocha chip - you can't go wrong with Richardson's Ice Cream. Our 9 month old had his first taste of ice cream and couldn't get enough! The owner came to check on us and was very friendly and thankful to all the patrons and we're so happy to be supporting a local business. They definitely have a few kinks to work out, but once the weather warms up and outside seating is available, I can see this being the go-to spot for a quick dinner and some ice cream on a warm night for many people.
