Tiny amount of meat and overcooked.
    Leah P.

Oh boy. We so wanted to love this place. Firstly, the table and chairs were disgusting. I pulled my chair up to the tables and was greeted with sticky fingers because all the underneath surfaces of the table and chairs was covered in grime and food. Secondly, their food was just not good. The menu descriptions sounds so tasty and wonderful, but when the food is brought out, there was no quality control. We were asked what temp we wanted our burgers--everyone asked for mid rare. Zero pink in the middle. All were well done and tiny beef patties. My Asian salad was a joke, giant pieces of cabbage with the stem that wasn't shredded fine like the rest which made it super bitter. I asked for dressing on the side and they brought out maybe a teaspoon amount. The fries were undercooked--limp, cold, and starchy, not to mention, they portion their ketchup too. I don't even know why. It tasted like regular bottled ketchup--not like it was housemade or anything.Their Sprite tasted awful, sweet potato tots were also cold and undercooked, and their bathrooms were closed. Our wings were the only bright spot in this nightmare of a visit. Our server was nice but forgot about us multiple times and everything took forever. Don't eat here. Don't waste your money.

We stopped in for a drink and an app. The place was dead for a Saturday. That might be why the staff seemed less than enthused to be there. The draft beer selection left a lot to be desired. I heard someone ask for a light beer and the response was they only had one but they were out. The plantain nachos were different but decent.

Wow! Just WOW! Literally the BEST burgers we have ever eaten! This was absolutely worth the drive from Denver. Quaint town, awesome grill, fantastic service and epic burgers. Go for the Southern Charm burger (beef or elk - we tried both) with the sweet potato tots! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Our absolute favorite dinner spot in Evergreen - the food is amazing and the drinks are delicious. Highly recommend giving this spot a try if you are in the area!

Absolutely loved my experience here! I believe my servers name was Ellen, she was great. We wanted to sit Creekside, but all of the tables were full, so we got a nice patio table in the front of the restaurant by the street, still a beautiful vibe. And it was a perfect day to sit outside in early August. Although all of the dishes and appetizers sounded so tempting, we decided not to indulge and just skip straight to the main course We all ordered different burgers, my friends tried the black and Bleu and the Murph and were raving about it. I built my own take on the Frenchman, adding some caramelized onions and onion frizzles, and a truffle sauce. So good! I don't know that Brie is my favorite cheese for a burger though, I'd get it with a different cheese next time personally The fries were absolutely delicious, i ordered the truffle fries and it also came with a side of truffle dipping sauce. So good. The portions were a little skimpy on the fries though. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that my friends burger was ordered medium well and came out with a bright pink inside. Still i would love to come back soon! Thank you.

Service was great! We came Saturday and there was only one person working the whole front restaurant, Taylor. She was great! We ordered 2 drinks we didn't like and she took them away with no problem and got us lemonades that we both loved! Husband got the Murph burger with elk patty and truffle fries. Very very good! I got the rustic wings which tastes kind of rough, idk how to explain that. Less like wings and more like chicken breast. One was super bloody in the inside and it just grossed me out a little! We ordered the bread pudding for dessert & it was pretty good. Taylor was great and never stopped moving! She was the only person here and she was managing it like an expert!

Great! And outdoor seating! But the indoor ambiance is amazing too! I had a salad that was fresh and delicious but boy was I eyeing my friend's salmon that looked and tasted amazing! The guys ordered burgers which I always feel anyone can cook a burger BUT I was told these Burgers were above the rest! It was a wonderful evening out and a place we would definitely go back to on our next visit, not to mention it's a wonderful little town to stroll around in!

Brennan showed us the Murph way! The burgers were absolutely amazing. Will be reminiscing about the Murph, Cali Style, and Southern Charm for a while. The elk burger was a nice twist. Sweet pot tots delicious. Gluten free bun and bbq sauce was greatly appreciated. Vibes on the creek were immaculate. We will be back.

southern charm burger had a great melt in your mouth flavor. fries were not memorable. strawberry lemonade was EXTRAORDINARY service was genuine and the greeter seated us per our request on the patio the ambiance was quiet and the perfect temperature to enjoy a hearty burger outdoors. the stream added a calming element which added to the pleasant evening meal overall, would visit again & the restaurant located walking distance from evergreen lake added an extra bonus evening stroll!

Murphy's is the best food and beverage spot in town. Great menu with a lot of variety and interesting twist on American cuisine.

They are consistently great, which is why you'll almost always find the place buzzing with energy. The location is fantastic--it's situated right next to Bear Creek, providing a cool, relaxing atmosphere that really captures the mountain vibe. As for the food, it's excellent across the board. The breakfast scrambles are a highlight, topped with fresh sauces and served with perfectly crispy hash brown medallions. Their smothered burritos are another must-try, loaded with melted cheese and served with fresh sides. Very torn on the Muddy Buck - it didn't live up to my expectations…read more The good: 1) The ambiance! They have the mountain town atmosphere and decor down. The seating is a fun mix of tables and comfy couches, plus outside patio seating. There is a selection of board and card games available, and a slightly tucked away book for those who want some privacy (as I did on my morning visit, to take a work call). 2) The chocolate chip walnut cookies are SO good! Definitely get it warmed up. 3) Free wifi. The less good: 1) Given they roast their own coffee I had high expectations on the taste of my latte but it was just okay, nothing standout. 2) The cinnamon rolls are another thing the Muddy Buck is known for and maybe I just got one from a day-old / less fresh batch but it wasn't that great. The edges were crispy - not sure if that's intentional - I prefer my cinnamon rolls soft & pillowy. 3) The service is hit-or-miss and their overall workflow needs some adjusting. After most orders the cashier would walk away and tell the next person in line they'll be with them in just a few minutes, even if it wasn't that busy. When I got my Italian soda, I didn't get my cookie - I was told they were still working on it (it was in the display case) - yet my friend who ordered after me got her soda and cookie at the same time. I had to go up again to ask for it. 4) They're inconsistent with their use of disposable vs reusable packaging. My latte was in a to-go cup despite dining in and plenty of reusable mugs hanging there. Cinnamon roll came on a plate. Italian soda was a to-go cup. Cookie was in a to-go bag. They have both reusable and disposable silverware. Some adjustments are needed IMO.

I was craving a homey coffee shop moment, something cabin-esque where you can relax without feeling rushed. Muddy Buck delivered. Comfy couches, warm wood vibes, and the kind of atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. I did forget the book I meant to read, but that worked out because I ended up having a really lovely morning playing games with a friend instead. The coffee was solid, and the pastries were warm, soft, and pillowy. But the sleeper hit here is the Muddy Buck chocolate chip walnut cookie. Gooey, perfectly baked, and genuinely memorable. One of those cookies you keep thinking about later. If you're in Evergreen and want a cozy, relaxed coffee shop where you can actually sit and enjoy your time, this is the spot.
