We had a great meal at the bar. Loved the atmosphere. Great place for a casual dinner and drinks. The bartender, Cameron, was great. I had the crispy fried buttermilk chicken sandwich. I highly recommend!

From the name, you might think this is just a sports bar, but in fact its unassuming facade hides a quality local restaurant with both good food and good drink. We first found this place looking for late-night eats (kitchen closes at 11pm, just 1 hour before the restaurant), but I would definitely come back for pre/post-movie dinner, or lunch if I were out running errands in Squirrel Hill. Food and drinks enjoyed by all, especially the dark hot chocolate with raspberry schnapps.

Fun place to spend a Friday night. Went with my roommate and her family. We were told it was going to be an hour's wait, but we only wait twenty minutes which was nice. Our waiter was super nice and prompt with bringing our drinks and food. He was knowledgable about the beers on tap and the ingredients used in the food. My food was delicious, I just wish there was more on the plate. Overall good price for the quantity.

Good location & friendly staff. *happy hour 5pm-6pm - $1 off drinks* We started off ordering beers and soups. I ordered the lobster bisque and my friend ordered the French onion soup. Both were decent. The lobster bisque could have used some chunks in it (though I understand that I'm not in a place near water- so overall, pretty good but nothing to go crazy about.) The French onion soup was also fine, though nothing mind blowing. I ordered the salmon burger with a side of sweet potato fries. I did enjoy the sweet potato fries, just enough seasoning; though I feel the salmon burger needed the help of the aioli it came with to help spruce up the taste. The steak sandwich was my friends choice. I did have a bite and it was flavorful, just nothing memorable. Their side of potato salad was bomb though! I'd definitely recommend the potato salad as a side.

Came across this place just walking down Murray ave looking for a place to eat. Didn't check yelp beforehand but was surprised to see this place is not more highly rated. We came on a Saturday night so we expected the wait to be pretty bad but it was only ~20 minutes. The servers and greeter were all super friendly and courteous. I got the brisket sandwich and my wife go the crab cake sandwich which were both amazingly delicious. She had also gotten a French onion soup which I'm usually not a fan of, but I tried it and just had to order another one for myself. Oh and the sweet potato fries were very crispy and fresh as well. You can get it for just an extra dollar with your entree.

First timer at the grill on murray ave and had an excellent meal. Started with the roasted red pepper hummus appetizer and was surprised how well it was prepared. The hummus was almost creamy not sure how they did that and the pita bread was toasted to a good black for flavor. We got two entree's: Salmon salad and a smoke brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. The salmon salad was right sized and included fresh avocado slices and plenty of red roasted peppers, included a roll and balsamic vinegarette. The smoke brisket sandwich was AWESOME! Great job reason for 5 stars. I was surprised how much brisket was on it. The bread was toasted and had coleslaw on it the slaw was superb. At every first time visit at a restaurant with brisket i order that, this ranks at the top! Great job! sweet potato fries were crispy and excellent Topped off with almond torte which was real good great stuff there was nothing bad about this place staff was friendly and very attentive good atmosphere and cozy will be back for brisket samich :) It had good smoke flavor too!!

My volleyball team came here after a game at the JCC, since it was conveniently within walking distance. As expected for a Wednesday, there were very few people inside and we were able to get a table for 6 right away. They have a happy hour special of half off drafts from 10pm-11pm; however the waiter told us their drafts were not working so we could only order bottled and mixed drinks. The waiter did bring us all glasses to pour our drinks into though. My teammate ordered the loaded tater tots and shared a few with me. They were good, nice and crispy, covered in bacon and a small layer of cheese. A few more ingredients as toppings would have really made this appetizer delicious. The restaurant is small but has a comfortable amount of space and is clean and modern. Our waiter was very nice, efficient and let us relax and talk at the table after we finished our drinks and food. Fun surprise of this restaurant is you get 2 tootie rolls with your check.

The owner is so so sweet here and always makes sure to walk around and check on everybody. The drinks are a little pricey. We all really liked our food. We wished the tacos had a little more fish, it seemed like majority lettuce. the fries are really really good!! i really enjoyed the spicy chicken wrap, it's not too spicy where you need to chug water but spicy enough to have good flavor. this was my second time coming here and i will continue to come here with my family

I've ordered from here several times thanks to Uber Eats! My review is only for the quality of food as I have never been inside. Both times I ordered a burger, the Saxonburg Burger and the Gourmet Burger. Also tried the mac and cheese. Even with taking 15-20 minutes for delivery the food arrived warm and in perfect condition, no mushy buns or fries. All requests I entered in the app were honored. I don't eat burgers too often but this place makes me want to eat them more! So flavorful.

I used to come here at least once a month for dinner. Never been here for lunch so i am not going to comment on that. Foodwise, they used to have a special menu everyday and there is where I order from. It rotates every 2 weeks, so back ribs were every other thursday. Their steaks are really good, and i want to say it is better than their fish most of the time. "Chef's special" comes with 2 sides (grilled asparagus x2 for me). Or you can change 1 side to soup for $2(?). My wife loves their mushroom bisque, and I like their French onion soup. Super busy on Friday, weekdays certainly have better food, better service. 4*, but not 5*, for two reasons. 1) one out of ten there is a slight disappointment. Maybe food wasn't good enough, it was too busy... something like that. 2) The food on special menu is good, but you never know if they are in "today". I had a steak here once that was very good, but i never find out what it was. I had a photo of it, and i brought it back and asked the staff, they cannot tell me what it was because it was from the special menu. ANd because of this special daily menu, I used to go to their website twice a week just to see what's up. by the way, they have a new website. Much better looking, but no special menu section. Either they are still updating the website, or they are changing something. by the way (x2), they might be the only American food / grill in the Squirrel Hill. Yes.... we definitely have more Chinese restaurants in Squirrel Hill than American grill. Please message me if you can name another one.

Great place with a nice modern atmosphere. The food was good (not great) but the service and low wait times made up for it.

It's a proper neighborhood butcher shop on Butler Street, the kind of place that had mostly disappeared around here. They do whole animal butchery with meat sourced from local Pennsylvania farms, and you can feel how much the folks working there care about what they're doing. It's not a huge space, just a display case full of cuts, a wall of house made goods, and a small sandwich menu, but that's part of the charm. The staff were friendly and happy to point me in the right direction. The sandwiches are what really got me though. The smash burger is fantastic, a double patty on a challah bun with that special sauce, and you can actually taste the quality of the beef, which makes sense given the whole operation is built around good meat. I also grabbed some of their house made pastrami, and it did not disappoint, tender and full of flavor. Knowing everything is made in house, right down to the bacon and sausages, makes it even better. If you live nearby and don't have a butcher yet, this is the one.

Love the decor in the shop. There were many prepared food options in the fridge, as well as various cuts of meat/preparations of it. We got two sandwiches, the cheesesteak and the marbella. I dont think we ended up with the correct order because we didn't end up with a cheesesteak, but did not realize until we got home. I'm positive that if I went back to the shop they would've remedied the situation, but I didn't feel it was necessary! The sandwich we did end up with was good as well, unsure which one it was though. Very fair prices, and our dog was so happy we brought him home a bone as well! Looking forward to coming back and trying everything they have to offer.

I was actually quite impressed with how well it was prepared. Nice and flaky but didn't fall apart. The bun it comes on is well proportion with the fish. The only thing I could've went without, was the macaroni salad topped on the fish. However, the food here never disappoints. I'll be back.

They have limited table service in the sense that you place your order with the cashier when you walk in and they bring your food out to you a little bit later on. They even checked on us a few times while we ate. Very nice staff too! The restaurant is a good size with lots of tables for two and few bigger tables as well. They also have a separate bar if you want something other than soda with your burgers. I ordered the Moonlit Smashburger and the hubby ordered a chicken sandwich; we also ordered fries and a drink to share. The cup for the drink was super duper tiny though, and we weren't sure about refills so we just took shallow sips. Next time we'll make sure to get two drinks. The smashburger was so good!! Everything a smashburger should be. The moon sauce was tangy and complimented the meat so well. And those crispy edges!! The fries were nice and crisp too and the hubby thoroughly enjoyed his chicken sandwich. We left the restaurant satisfied and full!!
