I recently went here for my birthday with my friends and it was great! The booth was very clean when we got there and the lighting really added to the atmosphere. (If you don't like the party lighting though it is easy to adjust it to your liking though) I had a blast singing with my friends and the song selection was actually more up to date than a lot of the reviews care to mention. Having songs as recent as the new SpyxFamily intro song and "Enemy" by Imagine Dragons. Overall, a great experience and a great way to spend my birthday. read more

This is my favorite karaoke spot. It's not a bar. This establishment has several private rooms for you and your party. I've celebrated a couple different birthdays here and it's so fun! There is a large variety of music. The list of music is not everything but it's a large amount of music to where your time will be expensed even if you do not find the song you want to sing. The owner tries to keep the song list fresh. He has two separate karaoke books.. the old one which looks like a big a** Bible and the new one with recent songs. The room itself is clean. The owner is cool and cracks jokes with ya. He's funny. He gives each guest a microphone cover. He does have a fridge of drinks there and some oriental snacks. You can bring your own snacks and drinks (alcohol too) but he does charge extra for that.. The rooms are wall to wall and you can hear the other rooms belting away at their songs when you're outside your room and inside your room but once your inside your room belting your own songs - the other noise doesn't bother you at all. During the hours of 6pm-8pm is happy hour so the price is half off. read more

My teenager went with 6 friends and had a blast. The owner was very nice and explained to them how to work the system. They brought their own soda and snacks. Not sure if maybe a bad day or something, but we called beforehand to see if there were rooms available and went over there as soon as the owner told us there was. Upon arrival, we noticed that there was a happy hour for half off the rooms from 6-8pm, and it was 7:15 at the time we were talking to get the room. We asked for an hour, and the owner then told us it would be 30min happy hour, 30min regular price. I was trying to say that it was 7:15/7:20pm so it should be 40/20, but he kept saying no. My friend ended up paying the fee, and my other friend asked if he had something to connect an iPhone for karaoke. During this entire transaction, he was very curt in his responses and sighed loudly. Not very friendly... Maybe that's why the all the rooms were empty? He let us into the room, asked if we knew how to use the console (which we didn't), and he sucked through his teeth as he demonstrated how to use it. While he had done this, my friend with the iPhone had connected their phone and asked if the iPhone would show up on the karaoke TV to which he said something on the lines of "No, you can see your phone, look at your phone!", before shutting the lights and leaving. The volume was a bit low for us, so we tried adjusting it on our own, but he came in quickly, chastised us like children and told us not to touch anything, and then got angry about how loud we wanted our music. He kept sighing and asked, "do you REALLY need it this loud?" Like... yes? Before COVID, I remember that karaoke places would hold up a sign that would say 10min or 5min left of your session, but not here. When the hour was done, he opened our door, turned on the light, and proclaimed that our hour was done and to leave. The only thing nice about the place is they have complimentary water. But after how rudely we were treated, I will not be returning here. He clearly did not want us there, and we wouldn't want to give this place any more business. read more

BYOB and food! I celebrated my birthday here with my sister and we had a blast. The rooms are specious. We were in a large room with about 15 people and I believe it was $40 per hour. We had two mics, which was really cool. The only thing I would say could be improved is the variety of music. I was really looking forward to singing some Selena, Amy Winehouse, or Adele. Yes. You can bring food and alcohol. Also, the owner of the Karaoke place, I don't really know why everyone is saying he's weird and rude.. If you look past communication, he is an actually nice person.. I came here with a group of 5 people, there was no available room at that time but he immediately look around and asked customers in the rooms if they are done or if they will extend their time. We only waited 15 mins and after that we got a room. The room has 2 microphones and a cover (mesh net) is provided for use. Down the hall they have complimentary water and cups if ever you get thirsty.. I have been coming here since 2017, they always update their song selection and they put english labels on the remote which makes it easy for use. They sell snacks and drinks up at the front desk, but you can also bring your own food at a $1 extra charge. The owner was very kind and showed us how to use all of the equipment. So I popped my Karaoke establishment cherry with Muse Karaoke. I went for a friend's b-day where he reserved the largest room. This room can hold 10-20 people. It got hot really fast... The song selections include Korean, Japanese, and English music. What's cool about this place is that you can bring your own food; thus avoiding overpriced food if that karaoke place were to sell it themselves. There's a veritable plethora of songs to choose from so you'll be singing your heart out all night long. read more

This is not the fanciest karaoke in LA area. Heck, it's such a no frill karaoke that it always makes me feel like I'm back in time - well, except those cordless mic. I see why some people are put off by the owner's attitude. He may not be the most reactive or friendly person. But I like him for keeping the place clean, not making me feel obligated to order alcohol (they don't sell any, ha!), not making 'tipping' mandatory like some Korean karaokes in Ktown do even when they don't necessarily service us besides taking us to the room, and not making the place stink of bad cigarette smell. Yes, the rooms don't smell like roses, but they definitely don't smell as much as other Korean karaokes. And price is reasonable. I'd much rather spend time here than any other Korean karaokes in Ktown. read more

We called to make sure they were open and when we got there the old man YELLED at us with the dirtiest stare saying there's no space available until 11:30. WORST SERVICE EVER!! The owner of this business was so rude, he clearly doesn't care about his customers or bad reviews. We made a reservation for 6 on my wife's birthday but 2 couldn't make it because they tested positive for covid. The owner did not like this at all. He started yelling at us, slamming things down on the counter and said that he reserved the room for 6 people for us and he could've given it to another party. He then said that since they are not busy at the moment, it's fine this time and then angrily led us to our room, slamming the door loudly on his way out. Mind you the place was pretty empty the whole time we were there so I'm not sure why he felt the need to yell at us. Since it was our first time there he had to explain how to use the controller because everything was in Korean. He cleared the table by throwing the tambourines on the chair and then slammed the book on the table. The way he talked and explained things to us was so condescending and rude it was crazy. We were all so upset by this guy it ruined the mood for my wife's birthday party. I have never been treated this way by any establishment. I really have mixed feelings about this place. This is our go to spot for a drunk karaoke night. The place seems a bit outdated but the rooms were spacious and nice. I do wish the windows were more tinted for more privacy. The songs in the system are kind of outdated. They are missing a lot of songs that were hits in the past but they do actually have up to date songs. They mostly have early 2000's oldies. Music videos behind the lyrics are ripped from Korean music videos which makes it a bit awkward. For example, we'll sing Rihanna songs while a video of an old kpop group dance in the background. But hey we had a fun night, this place isn't the fanciest but it sure does work out in the end. You get to bring your own booze which is a plus. The old man there is pretty chill. There is always that one friend you have saying "I will go to watch, but I'm not going to sing..." after a few drinks, they will be hogging the microphone! They have a pretty extensive song list with thousands of selections from EVERY music genre you can think of. From Korean, Hip-Hop, Rock, Pop, and R&B, I was rather impressed with the variety. They add newer songs every month, so the book is very updated. Huge LCD televisions make it easy to read the lyrics and very user friendly karaoke equipment. Negatives: the rooms lack in decor and he couches and table could be modernized. Parking in this shopping plaza could be tricky on a Saturday night with all the surrounding eateries. Came here last night for a friend Katrina's birthday/graduation. I love how each party has its own room for privacy and if you're bad at singing (like me!), the whole joint doesn't have to hear you. My friends and I were hungry when we arrived and didn't know what to expect with this being our first time so we weren't sure if food was going to be served or not. The place only sells some soft drinks and chips but I definitely love how you can bring food in (and there are plenty of food places surrounding this spot since its nicely put in a plaza filled with restaurants and fast food places. I also love that you can bring your own alcohol with no extra charge. You're pretty much just paying for the room and I believe the prices start at $20/hour and range up depending on the size of the room to fit the party. I'd definitely come here again. It's always fun belting out to "Wonderwall" and "YMCA" with all your drunk friends in the privacy of your own karaoke room. read more

So instead of coming to Max Karaoke, my friends and I ended up here. The room we had was super spacious and for $40 an hour w/ 10 people I was really hyped. Next thing you know, we see the book for songs and it's confusing. They have it mixed with Korean AND English. Not to mention the songs are like 10 years old. No I don't want to sing Katy Perry's first popular song, I kissed a girl. I want to get my Kim Jong Un on and sing Firework! Even that song is a couple years old and they didn't have it!! We left, got our money back (thankfully) and went to Max. Yeah more expensive, but we wouldn't waste our time looking for songs to sing. So..maybe this place is better for the old people who like pre 2000s music. So sorry Muse IDFWU. read more
