Previously my psychiatrists would always tell me how bad certain behaviors or feelings were . Dr Goldenberg does not make you feel guilty about things you have done or thoughts you have . There is an issue , okay let's address it instead of making you feel even worse about things. Dr Goldenberg is always quick to respond through email and educates you about the side effects you may experience so you are not thinking what the heck is going on here ? Long story short He does his job really well . He is not a psychologist do not expect therapy . But he is there for his patients ready to answer your emails And give you options when it comes to meds . He makes himself available and easy to contact .

I'm a psychologist that works with personality disorder and trauma, and I continue to refer clients to him due to the high quality of care he provides and expert consultation. When Dr. Goldenberg takes a case, he engages in ongoing consultation with all treatment providers to ensure consistency, continuity of care, and overall highly effective treatment all around. He never assumes authority over any other provider, and engages with each as colleagues supporting each other's work for the best outcome for a client. As a colleague, he is an invaluable resource on every case he works on. All of my clients have reported very positive experiences and successful outcomes with their treatment with him. They often report he is highly respectful of their needs and wishes, never pressures any client to take medication or engage in an intervention, and offers multiple options and perspectives on how to achieve their goals. He is very kind and approachable, and clients report they trust him to work in their best interests and feel very safe in his care. If you are a client or a referring provider, Dr. Goldenberg will certainly exceed your expectations and provide expert care and supportive treatment.

He focuses on conservative treatment methods such as physical therapy before just diving in and doing random medical procedures. I have been dealing with bulging discs in my lumbar for the last 7 years or so and my general practitioner has referred me to Dr. Jung. We started with physical therapy with minimal relief. Dr. Jung recommended we do bilateral injections in the impacted areas. These have helped provide some relief but not permanent. Unfortunately, COVID hit and it reduced treatment options for a period of time until he was able to start doing injections for me again. Unfortunately, we had to have a double laminectomy which was performed by Dr. Shamie (a colleague of Dr. Jung) and that surgery was very successful. I started getting similar symptoms after about 18 months or so and we had to have an MRI done. The MRI revealed the surgery was successful but scar tissue was growing in causing the new symptoms. Dr. Jung recommended another injection as surgery would not be logical as removing scar tissue will just create more scarring. These injection was not as successful as we hoped it would be, so Dr. Jung recommended another injection spinal cord stimulator which has worked wonders. I am very grateful to Dr. Jung and his fellows that he works closely with as he is constantly empathetic, kind, caring, and does everything he can to help with pain management without just giving a ton of pills. I highly recommend Dr. Jung as he will do everything possible to help you. I must mention the office staff are phenomenal and very helpful.

That's why I came back, because my anxiety has returned and I am experiencing panic attacks so debilitating that I cannot work. I spent two days speaking with intake staff and Dr Javier, clearly explaining my condition and lack of current medical care thru my substandard insurance; this was really my only hope for medical intervention. They got me scheduled almost immediately. When I arrived for my appointment, I was actively panicking. I had my dog with me--the same dog I brought to every single appointment during my previous course of TMS with full staff support. Instead of compassion or problem-solving, a staff member immediately dismissed me due to a zero tolerance "no dogs" policy, without accommodation for my current visit, and made no effort to involve a clinician or acknowledge my current condition/state. I was treated as though I had purposefully done something wrong and was sent away. I was shaking visibly while leaving. And then... No one followed up with me. Dr Javier was there for my appointment and knew I had been turned away. I am devastated. The ER will be my next stop for panic attacks; it's my only option. NeuroWellness failed me today. ZERO STARS for zero compassion.

A little over a month ago, my insurance changed and I let the office know. They told me that they resubmitted the pre auth for my med and that all should be well. a week or so later I went to pick it up from my local CVS and was told that my insurance didn't cover it, I needed a pre auth from my doctor, and that they had been trying to contact her about it to no avail. THANK GOD I was able to use a manufacturer's coupon to pick up my medication that night. While I was waiting at CVS, I called Neuro Wellness and let them know that they needed to submit the pre auth since they dropped the ball and hadn't done so. I spoke to them and they assured me that it was submitted and that was it. On June 9th, I had an appointment scheduled with my PA where I told her that I needed the pre auth sent. She assured me it was done. I reached out to the office and reiterated that I needed the pre auth since I was running out of medication in 5 days. The days go on and what do you know? NO pre auth. Friday (June 12th) I reach out again regarding the pre auth, and I was again told that it was submitted and that I was good to pick up my medication. I go to CVS to pick it up and... no pre auth. "You can pay out of pocket" the pharmacist said, to which I said I can't pay that. The people at the CVS pharmacy on Mindanao Way in Marina del Rey are and always have been extremely kind and understanding. I try to use the manufacturer's coupon again, which was invalid. It was Friday night so I was unable to reach anybody at this office and I knew it was going to be a long and difficult weekend without my meds. The weekend passes, and I call them first thing Monday morning to let them know just how badly they dropped the ball. The office manager or whoever was at the front desk was apologetic and said she was new to the practice and taking over for someone else (newsflash: I don't care that you're new, you have the same responsibility to your patients as the previous office staff). At this point I had already started fighting tooth and nail with my insurance company, talking to everyone from every department imaginable (prior authorizations, family advocates and grievances, pharmacy approval, etc) and ended up being on the phone with them for over 5 hours trying to do this office's job since they are so beyond irresponsible and incompetent that they can't do anything themselves. When I called insurance I asked for a phone and fax number to give to Neuro Wellness because apparently I needed to hold their hands and kiss their foreheads to get them to do their job. This was happening as I was getting sicker and sicker from withdrawing from the medication THEY prescribed me. Around noon they stopped responding to my texts and calls completely and I had to have my fiancé step in during the middle of his workday and leave them voicemails encouraging them to call me back. Around 3 is when they FINALLY get the pre auth in and I can go pick up my meds. Too bad they're special order and out of stock! I was so desperate for my meds on Sunday the 14th that I drove to South Central LA (40 minutes from my apartment) to try and pick up my meds, but since the pre auth process hadn't even started they turned me away. I have a lot to say about this office. For one, they will not prescribe you more than a month of medication at a time BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BILL YOU MONTHLY since you have to meet with your PA before getting anything filled. Do not let them convince you it's because they care, it's because they're greedy. This actually isn't the first time this office has failed to fill meds since I have been through this process before with them. IF THEY ARE GOING TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS, THEY NEED A WEEKEND LINE TO COMMUNICATE WITH ALL OF THE PEOPLE THEY SCREWED OVER EARLIER THAT WEEK. I have truly never been happier to leave a practice teeming with the most incompetent and problematic staff in the world. I have started seeing a new psychiatrist who was literally dumbfounded when I told him how this office had been treating me. He is now my primary provider and whaddya know? He's happy to give me a 3 month supply of both of my meds. Please avoid this office. I was with them for 3 years and watched them screw up monthly since they won't even give you refills (again, because they want to bill you). They are totally negligent.
