This car repair place is a joke. They said they replaced parts that weren't replaced.My Elderly mother took her car to them and they ripped her off for $400. And when they were called out on it they decided that we needed to bring it back in to actually replace it. All they did was wipe the part clean and claimed it was replaced. They are dishonest and yes we reported them. It is so wrong to take advantage of people especially older people. read more

I can't say enough about this shop. They have been giving us excellent service for over 3 years. They are very thorough, knowledgeable and their service is second to none. I recently purchased a used Honda Civic. Although it looked good, I brought it in for an inspection. The mechanic showed me several areas that showed the car had been in an accident and had several parts removed and not replaced. The records were a large part of my lawsuit to return the car. I have had a significant amount of work done through this shop on an older Toyota. My previous review was 2 stars, but after some back and forth calls the shop is doing what they can to improve, and my 4runner is in much better shape. Starter motor replacement -- $600. This took 3 trips back and forth before the shop could schedule me a technical mechanic to make the electrical diagnosis, but once the new part was in, its now working well. Rear differential servicing -- $1600. This one took several calls back and forth before the shop agreed to service my rear diff instead of trying to replace the entire unit for $3600, but now that the work is done it is much quieter and running well. Valve cover gasket -- $600. The motor had a bad burning oil smell and now it does not, so this is a job well done as far as I can tell. oil changes - the shop put synthetic oil in my older car without asking, but they were willing to drain and replace with standard oil and now there is a note in my file, so i dont think this mixup will happen again. brake replacements - front brakes are feeling much better, but the shop did have to do the brake bleed twice, not a big deal since I was going back anyways. read more

Short story: Even though they were all booked up, Chris took my car back to check an oil leak. He was able to quickly resolve the issue & I am very appreciative! Long story: I had my oil changed a month ago at a different shop, and my car sat for a while because I was out of the country. This week it started dripping oil. Unfortunately my usual oil change shop is closed, so I called My Auto Surgeon based on their Yelp reviews. I explained my situation to Chris, and even though they were down two mechanics, he told me to bring my car by. When I arrived everyone was very friendly and professional, and Chris took my car back within 20 minutes. He let me know it was not an active leak, nothing was loose, and the "leak" was due to some pooled oil in the oil pan (oil catcher?) that was left behind during the previous oil change (again, from a different shop). Chris cleaned out the old oil and sent me on my way. I will DEFINITELY be bringing my car back to My Auto Surgeon for my next oil change. Changed my oil today, My Auto Surgeon changed it for me several months ago. As I removed the oil plug I was disappointed to see that two (2) odd size washers and 1 plastic washer was used to seal and tighten the oil plug. The oil filter also was on super tight and the incorrect filter was used for my car! This was disappointing as I have trusted the business for several years now. They need to reeducate the mechanics on using the right parts for the right model car. Thankfully nothing was ruined and I have the correct OEM parts in the car now. Have to check what other shoddy work was done. Hopefully they don't veer too far from their practice as I like this business. Chris was very helpful and communicative when it came to updates on my vehicle and took it a step farther to have the glass company for my windshield fix the accidental imperfections caused by glass company in my windshield. Talk about contactless service! This place is amazing. I am so happy that they work on Range Rover Diesels too! Staffs are very friendly and attentive. I don't know much about car maintenance etc, I believe their name were Sammy and Chris, were great on taking time and explaining them to me. They were all very professional. Due to Covid and mainly my busy schedule, they offer the contactless service where you can drop off the car and pick them up whenever they are finish. Everything were done via phone or text. I first called and the guy said hold please but i waited for so long I hung up. I called back probably a little over an hour later. I took my car here for only an alignment. I made an appointment a week out and brought it in a little early to drop off. If you're coming from Hwy 65, its right over the first little bridge on the left in a small strip mall or sorts. I was using Waze and it took me somewhere else weird so I had to backtrack and do it the old fashioned way. Anyway, I got an actual call several hours later saying it was done. The man behind the counter explained to me what they had done and sent me an email about it as well. My car now drives straight. They took pictures of everything they found wrong with my front end, did a alignment and oil change. My car drives like it did when I first got it. Their costs are very reasonable and I will be going back to get my power steering fixed soon. I scheduled an appointment to get my brakes looked at and replaced I took off 3 hrs from work to get my truck in and I was late so I called to ensure they could still get me in and replace my brakes. They said they could only do the inspection and maybe replace the brakes so whats the point of bringing my vehicle in if they're just gonna look at my brakes. This is after I also brought my daughters car to them to repair which they were pretty good with so I figured replacing brakes wouldnt be a problem. I made appointment with them, brought my car in for a battery drain. The service tech told me it was going to cost $200. They call me near around 11:30am to tell me they found the cause of the problem and told me I can go pick up the car. Once I picked up the car, I drove the car home and when I try to open the hood of my car, it wouldn't open. I call them and took it back to them. I drove back home and turn on my stereo to only static. When I brought it the morning, the stereo was working just fine. I called them back and they said they never touch the stereo or even went close to it so they weren't going to fix it. Keep in mind that the back and forth drive from Rocklin to my house is 30 minute. I took a look at it and found that all the wire were unplug from the stereo. In no way, these wire can unplug themself from the morning I drop it off to the time I picked up my car. They also broke my nob and put super glue on it. If this place can do to this, I wonder what else are they hiding. If your tech can lie to their clients about something like this, you should be on the lookout because they might be stealing from your company too. This is so unfair. Take responsibility for your action. I don't trust this place! I took it with all the good review that they will care about my concern and my car, just to find out that they don't give 2 shit! What if it was someone else who doesn't know much about car? You are going to lose more money, having to go some where else to find the problem that this place created. read more

I took my car in for brake inspection. They indicated that rear had to be replaced and that brake fluid looked to be about time to replace as well. I told them that I had the brake fluid replaced like 7 months ago at dealer. They went out of their way to do additional brake fluid composition strip test and confirmed that brake fluid was in fact still good. After 3 recommendations from co-workers I called My Auto Surgeon to repair a power steering leak on a 2008 VW Beetle we'd just purchased. We knew about the leak at purchase, but not the extent of it. I called and spoke with Dan who was polite, professional and courteous. Explained the issue at hand, made an appointment and brought the car in for them to diagnose. The next day Dan called back, explained it was not a power steering hose , but the vacuum pump causing the leak. He quoted me the price of the part, cost for labor and time and included pictures of the leak itself (wow!) I researched the info he'd given me, found it to be 100% correct, called back and agreed to the repair. Three days later he called to say the car was ready. When I picked it up, their mechanic explained the process of the repair and backed it all up again with pictures. Here is where I add that I was a GM Mechanic some years ago and I know there are a lot of parts to the Power steering system that can leak. They could have made a fortune on this repair, but they found the source of the problem and only fixed what was needed. They stuck to their quote, which I have never had happen before. They also did a complete inspection of the vehicle ( which I didn't ask for and also wasn't charged for) and they even fixed a couple of minor things with out charge as well -AND they gave me a two year parts and labor warranty for their work. These guys are tops in my book. Professional and honest, two words you don't see used often these days.
