The space looks very clean, elegant, and well designed, which immediately gives the place a premium feel. I ask if they're available for a cut, and he just calls over to another guy. I say, "Hey, I don't need a fade or anything, but are you comfortable doing a trim for long hair?" He says he can, but it really felt like a 'fake-it-till-you-make-it' type situation where he was going to say yes no matter what I asked. The guy who just glared at me when I walked in stayed seated on a bench, across from where I was getting cut, directly in my line of vision, and this dude was pulling the collar of his shirt down and POPPING PIMPLES ON HIS CHEST for my entire haircut. It was so vile, I couldn't believe this was a person in his place of work. He also had his phone balanced on his knee that he would occasionally swipe on as he played Instagram or TikTok videos at full volume. It was the most annoying environment. The barber sprayed my hair with a water bottle and combed it for a very long time, then he trimmed away for just a few minutes, and voila, he was done. Barely trimmed at all, certainly not enough to clean it up and get all the split ends. I looked down at the floor to see how much hair he'd taken off, and I kid you not, I could have individually counted the hairs. There were like twelve. But honestly I was so disgusted being in there that I didn't complain so I could just leave. Then he tells me it's cash or Zelle only. I don't quite have enough cash, so I ask for Venmo, which he doesn't have. They don't have a front counter or cash register or anything to pay with card, which I felt like he should have mentioned at the start. He's like, "We have an ATM." I use the ATM, of course it has a service fee that goes to the owner. I paid and left, and honestly that was going to be the end of it... ...until today. I never leave reviews, even for bad experiences, but I just checked my bank account and saw that their ATM charged me a second ADDITIONAL withdraw fee. So now they get my honest review. I would not recommend this place to anyone; ambiance is terrible, place is dirty, employees don't seem to care much. I've never felt ripped off by a haircut before.
