I got an apology and an offer to take a hot one home but at this point I didn't want it. The dish was $42 and the least they could have done was buy me a drink or coffee. This is a family owned restaurant and as such provides friendly service and a cosy atmosphere. The food is outstanding especially the meatballs, French Onion soup, calamarie, and my favorite muscles and clams. Strip steak, pasta, lobster tails, Clasic Burger, juicy pork chops, rack of lamb and more are all delicious. Deserts are great as is the beautiful bar that serves craft cocktails and Guiness on tap. On Tuesday nights there is light live entertainment that embraces the restaurant's relaxed mood. Hubby and I had a late lunch/early dinner here today and we are hooked. Everything was wonderful, staff, food, atmosphere. The owner, David, was so conscientious, stopping by every table to make sure diners were happy with their order. We started with Aunt Chrissy's meatballs which were seriously the best meatballs I've had. Rack of lamb with spinach and mashed potatoes was excellent and the Smothered Pork Chop was so tender and juicy. Definitely will be going back often! read more

I went to a private party at Cousins. They had appetizers and wine . The food was amazing and so much of it. They kept coming around with more and good size portions . The fried cauliflower was fabulous. It was a fundraiser and advertised as appetizers only and drinks. But they also put out a little buffet table with eggplant ricotta, cheese and salami and cooked vegetables and more. The waitstaff are very nice and so is the owner. read more

We have been going there regularly since it has opened. The food is very good the mustard chicken and pasta dishes are outstanding. I can't say enough about this new jewel located in Mahopac. Having opened just a few days ago they were on point from the minute we walked in the door. The attentiveness of the staff, the cocktails, happy hour appetizers and dinner where superb. The waiter Vinny made us immediately feel like family. He is extremely warm and entertaining. He didn't miss a step keeping our needs met along with the rest of the wait staff. The cauliflower pancakes are a must. Nothing frozen here. The owner mentioned they were his grandmothers recipe. We also had fries zucchini, which was also freshly made and sliders that were generous in size. Everything was fabulous! The pork chop was cooked to order. Tender and juicy with a fresh made apple, onion and bacon compote. Accompanied by lyonnaise potatoes that were pan seared to perfection. The lobster tail came with a choice of a side which we picked mashed potatoes. Also excellent and generous in portion size. The owner came over during each course to make sure everything was made to order and that we were happy. Something I appreciate. I can't say enough about this place except try it. So I tried My Cousin's tonight, their first week in business and I was very impressed. The food was fantastic. Some of the things we tried were the French Onion Soup, Cauliflower Patties, Lobster Tail with Lyonaise Potatoes, and Diablo Di Mare...all excellent. And despite being slammed and at full capacity their first Saturday in business, the service was great. The waitress and staff were attentive and the owner was present and in the dining room making sure everybody was happy and taken care of. I went this evening to a new restaurant, My Cousin's, Mahopac, NY. The service was exemplary. The staff were attentive, courteous and friendly. Honestly, they couldn't do enough for us. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. We had Tuna Shashimi, Sweet Steakhouse Wedge salad, side of broccoli and creamed spinach and lobster tails. We ended our dinner with Apple crumb. She promptly and patiently answered all my questions, let us view the room multiple times to envision setup, helped create a great menu, and was so flexible and accommodating for any last minute changes I had. The day of went off perfectly - everything was set up as needed and the service of the staff was excellent. All of my guests were raving about the food so its safe to say they will definitely be coming back! Throughout the day of both Alyssa and David came over multiple times to make sure the food, drinks and service were to my liking. The care and concern for their guests is top notch!
