    Calamari
    Alana K.

I came here with my family for dinner recently on a Saturday night. We made a reservation in advance, which I would recommend. It was pretty busy! We shared the calamari as an appetizer, which was crispy and fresh. For dinner, I had the meatball (served on top of polenta with marinara and ricotta) and the capri salad (greens topped with fried eggplant, red pepper, shredded mozzarella, olives, and an artichoke heart). Both dishes were good. The service was good. I thought the interior of the restaurant looks a bit outdated, but overall, we had a nice meal.

    Seafood Ravioli

My husband wanted to come here for his 42nd birthday. He was so excited to have the pasta and cheesecake again. They did not disappoint. I enjoyed my seafood ravioli more than I expected to! The clams were incredible. We made sure to enjoy all the extra sauce by dunking our bread. I believe our servers name was Emma. She was really sweet. General staff was almost too attentive to the table; as soon as you stopped eating they wanted to take the plates. I felt a little rushed by this, but staff was also super attentive and kind.

House made rigatoni, lobster in a cream truffle sauce.

It was way too long since the last time we visited here. Some things have changed a bit, but it seems brighter and very inviting when you walk in. Tasteful led lighting gives a nice vibe. The waitstaff is friendly, timely and not smothering but attentive. It's silly but the garlic, Parmesan bread they bring out is warm, crisp and delicious. A very good start. We opted to open with the buratta and prosciutto with fig jam. It was very very good. I chose the duck a l'orange for my entree. Gina went for one of the specials, house made rigatoni, huge chunks of lobster in a cream truffle sauce. My duck came with silky smooth mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The duck was very good, it was tender and juicy. I only wish the skin was crispier. Gina's dish however was flat out amazing. Probably one of the best dishes I've tasted all year. Honestly that good. We finished up with some Nutella gelato that was great. We will absolutely be back soon.

This is my first time here, had dinner with my sister-in-law who recommended the place. We had a reservation, it wasn't too too busy. We were seated, appears they have multiple rooms with tables. Our server was nice , friendly, introduced himself. We ordered espresso martinis which were delicious. For the appetizer, we did the hot honey antipasta, which was really good. Dinner we had the chicken diavolo and chicken francese. My chicken francese was delicious, well seasoned, tender. We had to get the rainbow cookie dessert since that is one of my favorites. All in all I will definitely come back, highly recommend visit.

Good food and service in a tranquil spot with outdoor seating you can enjoy. Nice sized and tasty menu and specials that will satisfy your cravings. Also a great dessert menu, you will enjoy.

Last night (1/4/24) was our second time dining here and unfortunately was not as impressed as the first time. I feel like servers were a bit off their game. Multiple people came to ask the same questions. They put an extra 1 in front of bill to make the price an extra $100. I'm not accusing this of being intentional, but the fact we only ordered a steak sandwich (which was mostly bread and cheese, and low-quality meat), and a pasta dish should have raised a red flag to the server who entered in our bill. The manager reversed the charge but was barely apologetic and behaved as though we interrupted him from something more important. We also feel the food is overpriced. I wanted a steak but $55 is way too much to spend. Based on last night's experience, I may be more inclined to review places after going multiple times. Below is what I wrote for my first review: Last night (12/19/23) we stumbled upon this place and we were pleasantly delighted with the beautifully decorated holiday cheer. Our server, John was very attentive, offered up recommendations and treated us very well. Julie ordered the Orecchiette Carlucci, which she found to be very satisfying, and my 118 Burger was cooked perfectly and was massive enough to take some home. The S'More's Flourless Chocolate Molten Warm nutella & dark chocolate fudge, toasted marshmallow, graham cracker crumb, peanut butter mudslide ice cream was an absolutely delicious way to end our meal. The menu is a bit pricey, but offers the quality to back it up. We will definitely return when we are in the area.

    Sacchetti

I love the food here so much, I crave it on the daily. The Sacchetti is my all-time favorite that I order every time I come. It is so full of taste and has the perfect portions of everything. My boyfriend and all of my friends really enjoy the spicy vodka chicken dish. It's not one of my favorites, but I'm not too into spicy food. The service is always attentive and the atmosphere is great for a date night or night out with friends/family. If you want dessert, the molten cake was just ok for me, but the ice cream it came with on the side was really delicious!

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and was so happy when we finally did. The staff were so friendly and the service was amazing. We ordered a number of items from the menu and everything was delicious. My kids especially loved the calamari. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant and looking forward to hosting a party here.

We started with the shishito peppers topped with feta, and they were absolutely divine. The combination of flavors was incredible and made for a fantastic appetizer. For my meal, I ordered the Burrata Crunch Melt, and it was excellent. The bread was perfectly toasted--soft on the inside while still delivering an amazing crunch on the outside. Every bite was delicious. The weather was beautiful, so we chose to sit outside. The staff went above and beyond by putting up extra umbrellas to make sure our group was comfortable. Our server was a young woman who was incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive. She made the experience even more enjoyable with her warm and welcoming attitude. Between the delicious food, great service, and lovely outdoor atmosphere, Barnwood Grill was a highlight of our day. I would absolutely return if I'm ever in the area again! I am definitely interested in trying a cocktail.

Exceptional Experience for our Party of 17!…read more We celebrated my grandfather's 100th birthday at Barnwood Grill tonight and they absolutely blew us away. This was my third visit, and once again the service, food, and hospitality were top-notch. We called earlier asking if they could handle our party of 17, specifically wanting to know if they could accommodate separate checks and if we could bring our own cake. The manager couldn't have been kinder and said it was no problem at all for the separate checks, we just had to sit together by family/check. As far as the cake they normally charge a slicing fee, which is two dollars per slice, but if we ordered three or more desserts, there would be no fee! That alone set the tone for an amazing night. We sat in the back party room, and the service was incredibly efficient for such a large group. Every request was handled quickly and accurately. Food highlights: * My aunt, another avid Elite Yelper and rather tough food critic, loved everything she ordered! The calamari, her entrée, the house salad, and the cookie lava cake. * My son devoured his Buffalo Wings appetizer and kids chicken fingers (his go-to bc he has a palate of an elementary school kid). * My dad and my 100-year-old grandfather both ordered the Osso Buco and absolutely loved it. * My mom enjoyed her Madeira chicken, my husband loved his chicken burrata, and my salmon was perfect. * My picky teen got a custom classic cheeseburger exactly how she wanted it. * Desserts - the mixed berry flute and 2 molten chocolate chip cookies were a big hit! They even worked with us on the birthday cake so we didn't get charged a slicing fee. Barnwood Grill exceeded every expectation. Fantastic food, amazing service, and flawless accommodations for a big, particular crowd. We'll definitely be back! Thank You for making my grandfather's 100th birthday such a memorable celebration.

I'm glad I glowed up for the occasion. Service was phenomenal. Can't say enough. From the hostess (her first day-nice job!!) to our server, bartender and busser. Owner came over a few times to chat. Food. Omg just look at the pics. Delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, lamb was a tad overcooked but that was my friends' bad for asking for it medium. My salmon--perfection. I like my salmon on the medium-rare side wowsa. Loves every bite (and I do mean every bite 'cause I ate it all). Did I mention the creamed spinach? Best I have ever had. Anywhere. A smidge salty but still had to order a separate side of it as my friend was not sharing hers I nearly forgot the candied bacon. Enough said. Because it was, you guessed it, amazing. Hats off to the chef!! Drinks-my tolerance for a poorly made margarita is zero and the bartender, again-amazing. One of the best margaritas I have had in a restaurant. Cucumber martini, delicious. Only comment is that the bourbon was not cold enough. Then a bottle of Decoy, it was their 'house' wine-say what? You mean the house wine wasn't some obscure wine drastically over-priced? No Virginia, it was not. Dessert-tiramisu out of this world. The Italian ricotta was a little salty. Highly recommend. Make a reservation though.

This place serves up organic, traditional, vegan (but also vegetarian and can basically turn almost anything into gluten free upon request). You want it, just say it. They can mix and match and adapt to your dietary needs which is so awesome especially when sitting down with a group of dietary alternative friends. It makes it easy and anyone can order what they want without feeling bad (physically and emotionally haha). Where do I even BEGIN with the food, the true star of the show. Came here with a dear friend that wanted to treat us to lunch and I was convinced I wanted to go the bowl route but when I saw chicken and waffles with fried oyster (I think) mushrooms instead of chicken, I was SOLD. This is such a hard one to ever be able to order since the only substitution they'll ever give you is fruit, or simply just a Belgian waffle. Not at Brooklyn Organic Kitchen. You order, they DELIVER. And my deliver I mean SLAY. Wow wow wow. Please look at my mushroom chicken and waffles, a work of art drizzled in this hot agave syrup with a kick. Just a touch. I told you the portions were super Mario size and just take a look at it, double "chicken" double waffle. You can order and share because the sizing here is huge. Yes, the prices are a little bit more elevated but you're also paying to eat organic food, with (almost) any dietary restriction possible. I also tried the vegan Philly cheese steak and my brain isn't doing well at comprehending HOW that mushrooms cut looked like meat. My brain is unwell at how they got it just RIGHT. From the flavors, to the portions to the presentation BOK is an incredible gem that I'm so glad we got to discover thanks to our friend. We left full, satisfied and with to go boxes but my belly was happy the next day getting to enjoy waffles (with fruit this time) right from home. It probably won't be possible for you to leave room for dessert since they kind of don't even let you leave with any room for even breathing after enjoying delicious homemade food BUT, if you so were inclined to or even managed to masterfully leave room for dessert (super Mario size), they do have muffins, cinnamon rolls, cake, cookies, cupcakes - all kinds of things. Can't wait to give those a try next time. We will try to think ahead and share so we can actually leave room for dessert **challenge accepted**.
