As the owner of a double coated dog, my biggest fear is when a groomer doesn't ask for permission and just ends up shaving the dog, but the groomer followed my instructions and just let me know the matted areas so I can brush it out myself. Let me start off by saying I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The first issue I had was that although they were priced too high for the service, they went on to text me half way through the grooming session to tell me that they were assessing $15 because my dog wouldn't sit still. When I arrived to pick him up they showed me a video of the woman shaving his foot and him pulling his foot back. This, they said, meant two people were required; hence, an extra fee was assessed. My dog is 8lbs by the way and not aggressive at all. Next, when I picked up my dog they attempted to charge me another additional $15 because they assumed my dog was over 10 lbs even though I had already told them he was 8.4 lbs. The didn't re-weigh him, they just charged me based on their assumption until I said something and requested they weigh him there. He was 8.4 lbs. Lastly, my dog had fleas the next morning. When I texted them about this, she asked if he does monthly treatments. Yes, I said. Her response was then essentially "well, I wish I knew why your dog is on the treatment but still gets fleas". For a split second, I could appreciate the humor, but then I remembered the $91 I paid for this terrible customer service. As she's a rescue, we had learned from our vet that her breed is prone to warts. She has warts all over her body. MCP makes sure she doesn't get cut. This happened at a previous place we used to frequent, Swanky Paws; she still has a bald patch where clippers had shaved off her entire wart. I had an absolutely horrible experience with My Cute Pawz . The owner initially acted appalled that my 14 month old springer spaniel had not been to a groomer before. He's been washed multiple times but has not needed a haircut until now. I received a call after Hank had been at the groomer for several hours and told that they would not be able to complete the grooming. The groomer was upset that he had tried to jump out of the tub several times and then she Initiated his FIRST grooming with the pads of his feet and grinding down his nails. What dog wouldn't be scared of this at his first grooming experience? At that point she gave up. The worst part of all of this is that she charged me $77 for a bath and blow dry. She made a point to tell me she didn't charge me for any of the grooming efforts. I was shocked at the price and she gruffly said that the price was industry standard and that I should check around. Today I took my dog to another groomer which was very successful with him. The total charge for the entire groom, including bath, was $67. Would NOT recommend this groomer. Rude to customers and no telling how she is with animals she sees as difficult (scared) . read more

Because I wanted to book for a grooming asap, I called My Cute Pawz and they had availability the next day. Reasons why I will not return: 1. As a new client, you will need to send a deposit of $30 through Zelle ONLY to hold your appointment. No other method. Luckily I was able to ask someone else send it for me Bc my Zelle was not working. 2. They asked for you to bring proof of up-to-date rabies vaccine (document) AFTER deposit went through. What if I did not have the paperwork handy? Then they would've wasted time having me sent over deposit. 3. Overpriced and will charge more depending on the weight of your dog. I paid over $100 total and that included teeth brushing. I've only paid between $60-$80 for full grooming at other places. read more

Dropped her off for a 12pm appointment and four hours later, she wasn't ready. When we went to pick her up, she was delirious. Searched for water in the car and when we got home, she ran straight to the water bowl and drank like she'd been without water for HOURS. She was BURNING up when we got her. Georgia summers are brutal and to not hydrate and care for our pet while she is with you is terrible service. For $60, you'd expect the a great package but all we got was a bath and haircut at the expense of our dog's wellbeing and safety. A just had a horrible experience with Cutz Paws. I have taking my dog there since 2018 without any issue. I take my dog only twice or three times a year. Never late definitely never a no show. Everything was fine until I called for an appointment today. I was told that I had a no show from May 26th. Also I was told that their policy changed and they had informed me of this. I never made an appointment for May and I never heard of this policy. I went back and forth with her, I finally I ask about customer service. When in doubt isn't the customer supposed to be right? She said yes but continue to explain her policy change and so on. She did call me back, only trying to prove that she did send me some correspondence. I think because of my good record with her, once she saw the misunderstanding, this should have been a no issue. Took my appointment abou and see if this would every happen again. read more

If you are going in as a new client GOD FORBID your dog age past 7 years old. I was told they would not accept my 9 year old mini poodle mix because he's too old. I was told that I should stay with his previous groomer because the environment change would be too much for him. I've taken him to different groomers before because I needed something soon when my regular groomers was booked and I've never had a problem about his age or his behavior. I was referred by a friend and I was excited to have a new groomer closer to where I now live, but I guess not. read more

Came back today, and great service again. One of the yorkies has a bad tear stain problem and it gets knotted right by her eye, but the groomer was able to successfully remove it without cutting her skin. Both yorkies looked cute, clean, and completely refreshed! A nice touch was the groomer (I have to get her name next time!) gave us two baggies of dog treats as a gift for the holidays and a coupon for our next visit. I decided to make an appointment to this salon before our trip because of the reviews I've read here on Yelp, and upon looking at the website with pictures of beautiful looking dog. I feel that it's only fair I make my own. I was initially told that my dog is so matted that he needed to be shaved off,,I dont think so but oh well, I am not the groomer, so I didn't argue with that. I expressed that I am not sure about shaving. She said she can maybe brush it but it will "cost a lot", and will not be good for the dog,should have been my sign she didnt want to take that route. I was still thinking and even considering since I am running out of option because we are off to a trip with my dog in the morning when she said "oh now I am not sure I will be comfortable, he might bite so I will just cancel (I've not seen this 13 lb shihtzu barked as much as he did, maybe that could be a sign) and that made me feel that she put me on a bind. But what made me upset was when she said "We normally charge for cancellation because it's weekend but I will not charge you." Now she's doing me a favor for not charging me for cancelling? I mentioned to her that I will do my own review and she snatched the form I was filling out in front of me and said go make your review. Since our trip is in the morning had to call Petsmart and guess what they did not need to shave off my dog. This just my own personal experience, you may have your own. Owner is an absolute horrid human being! My sister dropped my Elderly, partially blind, yorkie, Daisy off at 12, only for her not to be ready at the scheduled pickup time-- 4. This wasn't a too terrible inconvenience, but what happened next was deplorable. My dog when we picked her up was BURNING HOT and VERY delirious and lethargic. She was so thirsty she tried licking a hot water bottle we had in the car (it was a very hot day, 90+ degrees). When we got home she drank from her water bowl desperately for minutes! These guys really did a great job and had an attention to detail I haven't seen with any of the other groomers I've used. I didn't realize what a thorough job they'd done until I got my dog home and got a better look at him. They really took care of him from his ears down to his paws, grooming between the pads of his feet, etc. He also seemed happy and relaxed when I picked him up. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years. My chihuahua, Bella (11 years old) has only ever been to this groomers. Recently in the passed two years I adopted my mothers dog, Romeo, a yorkie (15 years old) and I started to bring him in with Bella for every visit. Today my partner took them in on her lunch break and left them there. Mind you, I have been attempting to come in for the passed month, last they told me Romeo needed his updated rabies shot which I completely understood. I made an appt and took him to the vet. The owner told me to bring in the paperwork of his updated shot. I had it in my car and forgot to leave it this morning for her to take in. I didn't think it would be a problem being that they can call the vet to verify and get it faxed if needed. Every time I talk to the owner, she stresses that Romeo is difficult and seems a bit agitated when talking about him. I am well aware that he doesn't like to be touched in the face bc some of his teeth have fallen out. Romeo is a sweetheart, just old, so yes he might not be the easiest dog to groom. Today when they got picked up, they charged my gf an extra 10 dollars for Romeo bc "he doesn't like to be touched in the face, he snaps at the razor and he has knots". That is ridiculous and terrible customer service. She also told my partner that they were cutting her a break bc I am a long time customer. I am so disappointed and I will be looking for a new groomer. One that is happy to take care of my dogs instead of making me feel like one of them is a problem. read more

I must say Iam shocked with our recent service. I have been taking my 17 year old dog there for many years to get his nails trimmed. He's short haired so doesn't need any skilled grooming. I had my mother take him there a few times and was shocked to hear how rude she was to her! She didn't even greet her to begin with then was rough with my arthritic dog. She put a muzzle on him and scared him. He peed, naturally, for that's what nervous dogs do and she had a fit about it even though my mom apologized repeatedly! She complained that she was too busy and and yelled that my dog peed every single time! (which is not true at all) My dog was fine with the other staff there because they were gentle with him. Needless to say, I am not taking my dog there EVER AGAIN and telling all my fellow dog owners about how she can be. It scares me to just imagine what she would do when you're not looking. I have tried several different groomers from Petsmart to small private salons and this is about the best out there. The service is impeccable. They do a great job grooming, but also a great job with making the animals feel comfortable. They are receptive to making your dog look the way you want and making suggestions so that your pet will look their best. Not all groomers do that, they just cut them they way they want and your pet might look nice, but not what you were expecting. Here, they make sure you are clear with how your pet will be trimmed, so that there are no surprises when you arrive to pick your pet back up. I couldn't be happier that we discovered this shop! I've been using them for many years and there is NOBODY who comes close to the quality of loving care they give my doggie-girl or the excellent job they always do with the 'do. LOVE them.
