The food is always great here. My favorite meal Hass to be their soups and the steak salad. I just wish they would put more meat into their Yemenite soup without us having to ask lol otherwise the service is great. Great place to get a quick bite to eat with several Israeli options. Plenty of seating to accommodate to different size groups. Ordered a Shawarma Platter and falafels to share with my fiancée. Took less than 10 mins to prepare the order which is good for how somewhat busy it was. Once I received my food I was short an order of falafels and they made up for it free of charge. Which was good in regards to service. the shawarma platter was great for two with plenty of chicken and potatoes. However, the shawarma seemed a little less than warm and dry as if it wasn't cut from the grill right away. The salad was great and the falafels has an excellent crunch and taste. Recently rediscovered this place on my mission to find Israeli-style falafel. I couldn't be happier to find out that the place is under new management, and that the food and prices are exactly what I wanted. I got myself falafel in a pita to go, which came with a generous container of sauce, and a small 1/2lb container which can be filled with the sides of your heart's desire. I couldn't be happier after that meal. I liked it so much that one the following day I came back for the steak- which I got in a hero + a side of falafel. That was the most delicious suicide mission of my life. It was relatively pricey ($21), but I can't complain because it was a real steak (which would go for ($10-12) at the butcher's, and it also came with the aforementioned side of falafel and a drink on the side. The staff is friendly, the service is efficient, and for those who are looking for a kosher meal- this is probably ideal. Although this isn't the type of place where you'd take a date, or go for a holiday dinner, it is a great place to sit down for a quality short meal. Enjoy! read more

I got a pastrami shawarma on pita on uber eats like 2 minutes before they closed. They still made the order and it came hot fresh and delicious. Now that I know the food tastes good I'll go back for their side salads. I like to be cautious about that stuff. The sandwich is overloaded with meat. Like, I think I'll take it apart and eat it with a fork because I've been biting this sandwich for 6 minutes and I've barely made a dent in it. I've been ordering and patroning My Grill Bar since it's inception. Aside for the 1 or 2 orders being slightly off everything about them is great and a wonderful addition to the Midwood neighborhood. The food here is always fresh and tasty. One of my favourite items on the menu is the Shawarma panini. It is always absolutely delectable. They have a nice variety of Israeli salads, sandwiches, falafel etc. Super Mediterranean and super delicious always. The guys working behind the counter are quick and friendly. If an order is even slightly off they are very willing to fix it and make you as the customer happy. With Midwood having many of the same type of restaurants/take out, My Grill Bar tops the others by far. read more

Totally average. Good fluffy and fresh pita. But it's really loud and table tops are not very clean. There was a gamy taste to my chicken schwarma, like it was covered in lamb juice. The toppings lack flavor, which is bizarre considering they're supposed to add it. The fried eggplants are totally soaked in oil. I've had much more delIcious schwarma from the truck behind Penn Station. Tangy olives and succulent chicken packed with flavor and hot sauce loaded with deep chili notes. My bf and i really enjoy eating here, they have such good shawarma, i think the only restaurant in NY that offers lamb in their shawarma...the bf usually orders that and i get the regular chicken shawarma(yummm) the falafal is pretty amazing as well, actually wtvr u get is amazing! I've eaten here two days in a row now. It really is fresh, delicious shawarma. They have two types, "shawarma" and "my shawarma". One is chicken, the other one is turkey / lamb (which I like more). My only gripe is that they could lower the prices a bit. A shawarma in a pita is $15, and a my shawarma in a laffa is $17.50. The portions are huge, but $15 is just too much in my opinion. The laffa I got today was huge, I could barely finish it, and it definitely makes sense to pay an extra $1.50 for a laffa (it holds twice as much as a pita). read more

I have ordered from My Grill Bar many times now. Usually a restaurant's operation improves with time, but sadly, here, in their short time open, things have deteriorated. Their once careful attention to detail, is now gone. My last few orders have arrived missing condiments, or sides. I've done takeout twice, and delivery once, and have enjoyed every experience. They have a lot of positives. Place is fairly new, and still very clean- a blessing for a kosher Brooklyn restaurant. They have lamb shawarma which is not common, and really great. They also have Lafa, which makes me automatically choose this restaurant over others. It's been a long time since Famous Pita went or of business, and this place is a far superior alternative (though it would be great if they had free falafel balls like FP). They also have a really nice back room, if you were inclined to sit there and eat with your buddies. They have a great special that's a shawarma, delicious fries, and a soda for $15. Just ate there last night with my wife and each time we go there we try something new so last night we had the shwarma plate and a large bowl of chicken soup with vegetables and chicken pieces which were absolutely delicious. Service is great and very quick and prices are very reasonable.
