My daughter and I look forward to the Pre Preschool class every Friday afternoon. Parents don't attend, they drop off their kids and can be free for 2 hours. There is plenty of parking below the building. The staff is always enthusiastic and excited to see my 3 year old. The staff are very aware of other children's allergies and ensure the snacks are safe and healthy. I feel safe leaving my daughter here. They have great rules that encourage learning and responsibility. For example: each kid gets 10 seconds alone on the trampoline and the child waiting must count to 10. That rule encourages patience, turn-taking, counting, and safety. After each class my daughter brings me home adorable artwork. This program teaches numbers, letters, telling time, colors, and following the teachers instructions. The restrooms are clean and well-stocked. The parent date night is affordable compared to babysitter prices and you feel good knowing your child is socializing with other children while burning off lots of energy. read more

Very pleased that I decided to go with My Gym instead of another place for my daughters' 2nd birthday party. Upon arriving there, the counter and small decorations were set up with the theme we wanted. Teachers Thalia and Michael were great, they had so much excitement and very energetic. They kept the kids entertained throughout the entirety of the party. The place was very clean and spacious especially in the reception area where the party set up was. So no need to rent extra tables, plenty of counter space. Don't need to buy balloons, small plates, napkins or forks, was included with the package. One and half hour goes by so fast, make sure you get there exactly 15 mins before your party time to set up food and goody bags. Easy less mess finger foods are great, easier clean up. Just had the birthday bash yesterday - while I was disappointed that nothing was actually set up when we arrived, the overall experience trumps anything I may have not liked. The coaches - Michael was one, but I can't remember the other two :(were just amazing with the kids. The entertainment is phenomenal. The kids didn't want to leave - they were all begging their moms to play some more. My daughter had the time of her life and I absolutely recommend this place for a birthday party. It's 10x better than the kids playgrounds, because you have coaches interacting with the kids and the adults conversing and watching. There is music playing too and everything is just so super clean. We love love love My Gym. My 4 year old has been going for over a year and his balance and coordination have improved greatly. The teachers are caring, loving, athletic, energetic and fun, fun fun. Some of them seem like they should be on stage they are so talented and so gentle with the little ones. We also love "free play" and go twice a week. Lastly, "Parents' Night Out" offers 4 hours where my son plays with his My Gym friends, gets great exercise, watches a movie and eats pizza while my husband and I enjoy our rare date nights. We put our son in pajamas so he's ready for bed after those evenings. Give it a try. You will be glad you did. read more

I took my son to the Tiny Tikes 7-13 mos old class. Pros: Great teachers - very friendly, energetic and gave individual attention to each child. Clean and organized area. My son had fun. Cons: Price - this is, of course, person specific. I thought it was pricey. Structured play time was short - For the one hour class, there was structured play at the beginning and the end - 5-7 mins each. My son really enjoyed the structured play time that included songs and guided physical activities by the instructors. He wasn't crawling at the time of our visit so the unstructured play time was me bringing him to various areas of the room and it seemed a little unconstructive. I felt that he wasn't able to fully utilize what the facility had to offer. That being said I do plan to bring him back when he is able to walk to see how he'll do. read more

I was really hoping I would love this place...The teachers are very friendly and upbeat, but they don't enforce their sick policy. There was a child that had a runny nose and was coughing everywhere. We tried to stay away from them, but sure enough me and my kids got sick. Ugh read more

My son has been taking classes at My Gym since he was 20 months old. We finally had a birthday party there, his 4th, and it was everything we could have hoped for. It was an amazing and flawless party, with non-stop fun and action. Activities kept changing so no one was ever bored, and the time for the party was perfectly managed. We had about 25 kids and every single parent told me how fantastic it was and how impressed they were with the program. The entire staff is made up of the most energetic and truly caring individuals. They genuinely love these kids and and what they do and dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to every interaction. Every kid feels special at My Gym Pasadena. Hardly a day goes by when my son doesn't ask to go to My Gym to see Annie or Emma or Ally or Jamin or Elliot. I have been to several baby gyms in and around LA. My Gym Pasadena is by far the best gym we have been to. My granddaughter and I have such a great time when we are there. It is a nice and clean space where my grand daughter can play safely. The exercises and activities that they offer are perfect for her age and ability. The teachers are great with all of the kiddos and what I love best is that they know all of the kiddos names. I will continue to take my grand daughter. read more

I had my 6-year-old's birthday party here. Unfortunately, they forgot to order the special Cars cake and pizzas that we requested. When I complained, the director gave me a big guilt trip about how bad SHE felt. All the guests were hungry and waiting for pizza, and my son was asking when he would get the Cars vanilla and strawberry cake he had selected. I had to break his heart and tell him that the Cars cake wasn't coming (while the staff ran next door to Whole Foods and bought some cupcakes). It was a disaster. Fun place to play, but if you have a party here, skip the deluxe packages and bring the food yourself or you just might have 20 hungry kids and one disappointed birthday boy wondering why he didn't get his special cake. read more

I went in for the free class today. I enjoyed it, it was cute and my son had a great time in the waddlers class, however the price to me doesnt fit for what u get. It was basically free play with things thrown at you. We started with everyone together, stretched and sang a song, then the instructor says free play and we run off and do whatever, then while music is blasting she is yelling out what activities they are doing on each side of the room. I know with toddlers its not really instructed as it is with infants but it was to chaotic and unorganized for me. I will not be going back to my gym just for these reasons. On a more positive note The instructors were great and high energy which I loved as well as being great with the kids. read more

My Gym is an awesome facility to bring your little ones to!! It provides a fun loving environment for your babies and children to begin developing their physical as well as social skills. They have a mommy and me program for children 6 weeks old to 3 years old and then an independant program for children older than that. The classes teach a lot of fun games, songs and exercises to do with your babies at home and the gym has some awesome equiptment for kids of all ages. I had my daughter enrolled here for a few months, and loved it. It was really fun for her, and that made it worth it for me to bring her back for more. I moved and decided I didn't want to make the drive and got my daughter involved in other activities and looking back I feel like my gym is not a great investment. It's a $75 one time enrollment fee (which they have many promotions where that fee is waived), and after that you pay $75/month. The monthly fee includes a 1hr age appropriate class once a week, and access to the gym during "free play" where all members of every age come for a time period twice a week. My opinion, there are a lot better options out there for children. I wanted more peer interaction for my daughter and I felt like I just brought her there to play for an hour. Most of the instructors are great, I liked Annie the best. She was great with my daughter. Personally I feel my daughter has gotten a lot more out of being in preschool and mommy n me classes. My son is 2 1/2 years old and we have been going to My Gym since he was 7 months old. We absolutely love my gym and all of its amazing teachers. They are all very warm and caring and I think he has a crush on most of the girl teachers! The facility is always very clean and my son loves how every week the floor is set up differently. I have taken 2 kids here off and on for several years. They both love it. Most of the teachers are awesome especially Elliot and Ashley. I would highly recommend this location. The gym feels clean, the equipment well maintained. I like how they change up the equipment every week so it always looks fresh and new for the kids. A good concept. Like the fact that there are varied degrees of difficulty on the different activities, how clean the place is kept and the strict sick policy (although many parents still don't adhere properly), and how engaging the instructors are. However, there isn't enough free play time during the day and the classes for the 3 plus set interfere with those going to preschool, which is probably the majority. I would suggest putting the younger classes in the morning and reserving the M-F afternoon classes for the 3 and older group and adding more free play time. read more

I've been taking my twin boys here since they were 7 weeks old. They're now 2 1/2!! They used to be next door to a gun store on arroyo parkway and that's how I learned of this place. My husband would drag me to the gun store but I was pregnant so I wouldn't go in. I saw these tiny little babies sitting on swings hanging from the ceiling and they looked so happy! It was so adorable! You can start taking them at 6 weeks but when I called for the free trial class they were full so I brought them at 7 weeks. They were the smallest babies in the class! One son slept through almost the entire class. I forget the different age group/levels but I think that first class is 6 weeks to 6 months. Around that time the teachers will let you know if they think your child should move to the next level. The class I enjoyed moving to the most was the one where most of the kids are walking. Mine weren't walking so much but they were trying and the teacher said it helps to move them up to the next class because they will see the other kids trying to walk and they will want to try too. I'm not much of a people person, I keep to myself most of the time but I have talked to a few of the moms who were in the same class as us. I've only really maintained one friendship though (that's how I was in school, instead of a bunch of good friends I just had one or two really good friends), and we met during that first 6weeks-6months class. They have seasonal events such as Halloween parties, Christmas parties where you get to take pictures with Santa, and an Easter egg hunt. I've been to all, but not every year. It took me a while to bond with the teachers, I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm shy. Some of the ones I bonded with no longer work there. But now I'm on first name basis with most of the teachers (before I could barely remember anyone's names). I guess they use this location as a training facility for other My Gym owners. So sometimes you're expecting your usual teachers but you'll get someone or a couple that are from out of town or another country. Classes are once a week but if you don't make it to your usual class you can always do a makeup, either a different day that week. Or just go twice the following week. They're pretty flexible on when you do makeups. I think you have 4 weeks to do your makeup. I know who will be reading this so I just want to say HI Ashley, Elliot and Adrienne! I've been bringing my daughter here for 2 months. Unfortunately I had to stop because of work. My daughter seriously LOVES it here. She has so much fun ! Sometimes when I drop her off to daycare, we would sing the bye bye song together ((: The staffs here are so friendly and always has a smile on their faces. The gym is clean !! Which to me, is such a plus !! One of the kid threw up and they were on top of it right away. Cleaned it, sanitized, and even offered a shirt to change into. Once a week they clean the whole gym. They wipe down everything ! Even to the last ball in the ball pit haha so awesome ! read more
