Justin, Lizzie (my daughter's idol), and Kayla are the best of the best. They are energetic, creative, kind, fun, and funny. My daughter is crawling out of her skin to get to class every week. In addition, we had her 4th birthday party there this year. It was epic. Parents of her friends and her friends are STILL talking about how fun it was. We just had our daughter's third birthday party here. The staff and facility were amazing! They were prepared and even set up a banner for us as we decided to keep things simple and not bring in our own decorations. The two staff members were super energetic and great with leading the kids in activities. They understood the short attention span of three year olds and incorporated a lot of free play. We hosted our son's 5th birthday here and everyone had the BEST time! The staff was wonderful and engaging, the space was clean and the party never lagged. They really take care of most everything and are incredibly accommodating (even customizing with colors he likes and drawing his favorite thing - train gates - on a welcome sign). My family had a birthday party for my cousin at this facility a bit ago and I would say this is probably the best place i've seen so far. As soon as we arrived everything I was carrying was taken out of my arms and unloaded within minutes. They are fast and friendly and when it came to the party the kids had such a fun time. I recently attended a birthday party here with my 2 year old and we had so much fun! The teachers were SO energetic, you could tell that they really were having fun with the kids! It it truly showed that they loved their jobs. The gym was clean, colorful and overall AMAZING. They do all of the set up and clean up of the birthday & even run games and activities though the entire party! My Gym helps kids interact with each other. It's really great for parents who only have one child. The child gets to be around other kids, learn how to share and play with them. I was impressed!! And my two year old daughter loved it!!! It's not your typical let your kid run place. The class has circle time with singing and dancing. Free time and than an additional structured activity. The teachers are really nice into keeping everything upbeat and moving things along in a positive manner. My daughter didn't want to leave! Only problem is it's to expensive to join, unless you're attending your weekly class plus every open gym. Otherwise it would be 5 stars across the board. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for! I just joined this gym for my almost two year old and I was a little hesitant at first but I wanted a change in her existing soccer routine, something totally different that she can try out. I called in to have a free trial but since my daughter was 20 months at the time they had her in a class with much younger kids doing basic things like practicing reflexes. They allowed her to go up to the next class which I believe is called Tiny Tykes and my daughter has loved it since day one. I had my hesitations with their not so structured class because I was afraid without a regular routine, my daughter would just run around wild but it's allowed her to grow so beautifully, learning to work with other kids and listening to her class instructor and following directions, I've really loved the things it's taught her. The instructors are such a delight, they truly love what they do and are so patient with the kids. Even more, they're great with the parents, answering their questions and concerns and being understanding with schedules and make-ups. I won't lie, it's quite pricey, especially being buried in student loans while being a graduate student and trying to get creative with activities for my toddler, BUT I think it's a great buy because it's taught my daughter so much already. We'll be keeping up with it until my summer vacation starts because we'll be travelling and doing some more free activities to fit within our budget, but we'll be back in the winter time because this is a wonderful indoor activity and my baby absolutely goes crazy for it. read more

While walking from Blick's to the RadioShack, we saw this gem of a place. Fortunately, my husband convinced me it wouldn't be pedophilic-creepy to go in and watch an on-going class. Miss Holly came over and welcomed us with a lengthy introduction to their services and recommendations for our two kids (2-year and 1-year at the time). She signed us up for a free trial siblings class. And the kids were hooked! That was back in spring and we haven't stopped even when our bank account dips into single digits. The kids look forward to going to "monkey class" and sometimes we have to drive past it to convince my son that My Gym is closed and his teachers don't live there. When we first started, I wasn't sure I'd continue because of my son's behavior/socializing difficulties. He's very willful and it's hard to break him out of his little world. He had problems following directions and sitting down for circle time or waiting his turn on the mats. It was pretty embarrassing for me and disruptive to the other families. Miss Holly, Ms. Amanda, and Miss Christina were extremely patient and persistent in redirecting him and helping him to focus. He's not at 100% yet, but the improvement is definitely noticeable. He even play-acts circle time at home and practices the exercises. I can't say enough good things about his teachers! They are AMAZING. My daughter started My Gym only crawling and now she's scampering to her favorites like the slide, trampoline, and high bar. She's very comfortable with the teachers and trying new skills. I definitely recommend My Gym as a great way to prepare your kids for preschool. Aside from the obvious work on motor skills, the teachers emphasize listening, following directions, taking turns, and confidence building. read more

We really like this place. I've been taking my daughter here since she was 10 months old, (she's now 15 months) and she LOVES it - she even screams happily as soon as we get out of the car. The class has a good amount of structure and the teachers are super friendly. I've noticed my daughter starting to understand how to clean up her toys at home (like she does in class), which is great. Plus, she gets to socialize with a bunch of kids her age and it's fun to see her starting to make friends. I do wish the cost was a little lower, but they do run promotions often (like unlimited classes) that definitely help out. read more

So, my family hasn't yet been to Disney World, but for my toddler, there is no other "happiest place on Earth." Our whole family loves My Gym. Our teachers are enthusiastic, energetic, and extremely inclusive of every single child who walks through the door. We look forward to our Waddlers class every week, and we've made so many new friends here. My 16-month-old gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot and she realizes where we are. Each and every teacher greets my daughter by name and with a huge smile. Their patience is incredible and knows no limits, even when they are redirecting my child who's running into the back storage room for the fifth time in our 50 minute class. We are so incredibly thankful to have found My Gym, and it's absolutely worth every single penny. Love, love, love My Gym and its staff! read more

In reading other reviews, I will say this... yes, it is more expensive but to compare this place to "monkey bizness" is not a fair comparison in that you are paying for activity leaders to run a program where as monkey bizness you basically just let your kids free and they play on their own with no supervision other than your own. We just had our son's first birthday party on Sunday 4.1.2012 here. We had an absolutely wonderful time! The activity leaders were so incredibly friendly and energetic. The kids had a great time and so did the adults. The program that they ran for the party was age appropriate and the kids never had a chance to just sit around. They were always doing something. Even my boyfriend who NEVER comments about this stuff said it was the funnest kid party that he had ever been to. A giant bonus is that since the activity leaders run the show, if you (as mom/dad) need to attend to your guest or want to take pictures or anything along those lines, you are able to do so and are not tied to your child. We were able to join in on the activities as well as leave our son for a minute to eat/mingle/take pics/talk to guests. =) We would recommend a b-day party to ANY of our friends in a heartbeat. We really had a great time! I can't speak for any of their classes since we have never gone but their b-day party was very fun and the perfect amount of time (1.5 hours). We just held our son'd 3rd birthday here. While we had never been to a class, we needed a place which was not too overrun with children while his party was happening as he can get overwhelmed with this. My Gym hosts parties and you have the place to yourself which was what our son needs at this stage of his life. There were 2 girls who 'ran' the party and they also took care of clean-up. They allowed the kids to explore and play initially. Then they had 'circle time' and a few other structured activities interspersed with free-play. My son and another of his friends weren't too keen on the structured circle time but that was fine. He and his friend ran around in the background and joined when they felt like it. The kids played in this way for 1 1/4 hours. The last 15 minutes, the kids ate pizza and cake (which we brought in). It was pricier than other places we could have held it. However, given that we had the place to ourselves, it was bright, clean and well run, in addition to being activity oriented, it was worth the splurge! My only feedback if you have your child's party here is to have them keep the music volume on the lower side. The music they have is good though! read more

I think this facility is a level up from monkey biz but agree with other comments about it not being much of a learning place but more a jungle gym. My son is 2.5 so maybe it is different with older classes. The space is small and the management is unprofessional. I overheard the manager say that he would " kick my ass out of there" if I didn't buy their socks. I forgot my socks and wasn't aware I needed them by law. No one explained this to me but just suggested I buy their socks instead. Needless to say I cancelled my membership immediately. I think the male manager is very fake as he hops around making funny voices but then swears under his breath the next minute when he thinks no one is listening. read more

We found My Gym through a birthday party and it was a blast! My 2 y/o daughterhas taken a range of classes, but nothing has sparked her interest like My Gym! She is so engaged and I believe that it is because of the fine balance between free play and structured time. Since joining, she has become more self-confident and is improving on her ability to follow verbal directions/cues. Her instructors, Mr. Justin and Ms. Megan, are wonderful, nurturing, and energetic. My son absolutely loves his weekly class at My Gym. While the gym itself seems a little tattered (could use a little freshening up of some equipment & paint on walls) - the classes are always fun for my child. Each week, there's a different theme of music which honestly, as a parent, is nice to hear something adult while I'm there surrounded by kids. And, my kid always bops along to it. What really makes this place is the instructors - they connect to the children, they are enthusiastic and really seem to enjoy what they're doing. Each class starts with free play then circle time. They have a little "adventure" each week - usually a creative way to use the gym equipment with an imaginary twist. The class also includes a few gymnastic skills. We attend a class for his age group which works better than the open gym they have once a week (that can get a little chaotic and overrun with bigger kids). What I like about it is that it's not overly structured, it's mostly age appropriate and - bottom line - my child enjoys it. read more

I took my son to a trial class here and was not impressed. The program is poorly designed to do much of anything for your child or your relationship. The loud adult pop music throughout most of the class sums it up: the noise level suppresses any development of communication between parent and child. In addition, there was no logical development of coordination, problem solving, rhythm, music, or creativity. The activities were mostly things done to your child that they don't need to do at this age, such as "arm stretches." Together we were directed to move our kids' arms around as if they were adult workout machines. There are fun and interesting things to climb on mostly similar to my stairs, chairs, and couches at home. My 18 month old does not need a "fitness center" to play and be active. I'm not an expert, but I know there are much better programs around for young children than this one. read more
