I walked in letting them know the pain. The front desk wanted me to pay first for two fillings on my left side. In my mind, i felt it was more than just two fillings that would elevate the pain. So, when i go to the back to speak to the hygienist, he was super incompetent and literally wanted me to show him the tooth that was bothering me. I'm like don't you have my chart in front of you!? It's not just a tooth, it's two teeth on my left side. So they do exams again and my dentist comes in telling me i need a root canal! I was like "A root canal!" I said "why didn't you tell me that at the beginning of the summer bc i didn't see that in my original exams" she tells me "well we didn't see it in your exams" I'm so frustrated and confused at the low technology they have and incompetence they lack. So, they recommend me to an Endo who is out of my network. I then take it upon myself to find Aspen Dental who not only has an Endo who is within my network, but I can also find a dentist here. They wanted to refer me to a bone specialist like the specialist could restore my bones! They also talked about dentures and I flat out told them, I would NOT be receiving dentures. Oh, and another thing. At the end of the visit, they give you a looooong list of things you can buy or procedures you can have done to your mouth. Not only did I leave feeling that I did not receive a thorough cleaning, but a procedure was performed without my approval or informed consent. I was then billed for that procedure. I escalated the matter to the central billing department, and they acknowledged my concerns and advised me to continue working with the office to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the office chose not to do so. What disappointed me most was the manager's attitude. I felt I was treated without the respect and professionalism I expected over a $100 charge for a procedure I did not authorize and did not believe was necessary.
