We ordered a tankless water heater for our new home in Vacaville and wanted to give local plumber/SMB a chance in these tough times. Long story short It was an absolute nightmare of an experience stay far far away. We called on a Wednesday and a man named Brandon answered, he was polite on the phone and said he could come by on Saturday at 9AM and install it for us in about 2-3 hours. Brandon arrived a little bit late at around 9:18AM which wasn't a big deal. He began installing it and started testing it out to see if it was working. He told us our water pressure was low and the pipes looked pretty corroded. We didn't have any issues with the water pressure previously and had our home inspected a year ago when we purchased it. He said he would need need to replace a section in the attic where the water heater ran up to because of corrosion. It took him about 4 hours and he billed us for $4200. Basically 4 hours of work on the water heater installation and repairing the corroded pipe. He told us it would take about an hour for the new water heater to have the hot water ready. We tried at an hour and it wasn't hot so we tried again 2 hours later and still nothing. So we called him and told him we didn't have hot water 2 hours after he left and he told us, "the regulator probably just needs to be adjusted or there may be an issue with the tank but if it's still not running by tomorrow then to call again and he would swing by first thing Monday morning because he was busy until then." So we were not trying to be left without hot water for 2 days. So we told him forget it and we'll call someone else who can come sooner. We got a plumber to come out Sunday morning to take a look at what was going on. The new plumber was here for over an hour and told us he couldn't figure out what was going on after testing the new water heater. He asked us if the hot water was working before and if Brandon had done any other work besides the installation. We told him about how he said a corroded pipe in the attic needed to be replaced so he went ahead and did that also. The plumber went up there to check it and noticed that the pipe that feeds cold water into the water heater and been soldered to the pipe that leaves the heater with hot water. So basically the Water heater wasn't getting any hot water and that's why we could only get cold water as you can see in the photo. The plumber couldn't believe that this had been done so he showed us the picture and said we may want to ask for our money back. Once we told him how much we paid he said he would've installed it for half the price... so not only did Brandon the Scumbag charge us double the normal price but he also had us pay him to break our plumbing. I'm just glad he was busy till Monday because I can only imagine he would've kept taking us to the cleaners. We left it as is and chalked it up as a learning lesson especially after the new plumber only charged us $80 to repair the pipes Brandon messed up. He called himself Brandon. However since the, the true owner of the business and his sleuth office assistant found us, came to our home, and told us the whole story. Brandon and his team did a good job repairing the water main leak I had from the meter to my house. The houses in the Browns Valley area apparently had PVC place from the street to the house and since it is buried deep, it is almost impossible to trace where the leak my have come from. I got quotes from a couple of other plumbers and My Legacy's price was lower than one and in line with the others. Brandon was up front about the pricing quoting me 2 numbers saying if they could do it trenchless it would cost A, but if for some reason that didn't work and they needed to dig out the whole yard to replace the line the cost would be B. I liked that they were upfront about the potential costs and were able to work on the job. I also had them repair a leak in the kitchen sink area by replacing all faucets and the garbage disposal. We needed a new water main line from the meter at the street to our house a few weeks ago. About 70' distance. My Legacy Plumbing sent someone over the day after I called them, and the job was done within the week. They installed a new copper line using a trenchless method, so very little digging was required. Pedro led the job and he was very good and communicated well. The owner Brandon supervised the line-pull operation. All were professional, courteous and friendly. I would happily call My Legacy Plumbing again when I need a plumber. When my water heater stopped heating, I originally called a different plumber who gave me a pretty high quote for the parts and labor and tried to up-sell me into a very expensive tankless system (which I don't need for my situation). So, I called My Legacy Plumbing - they were responsive and I got a timely appointment. Pedro suggested that I contact the manufacturer directly, as the needed part was still under warranty. I did and they FedEx'd it to me and Pedro came back and installed it, just charging for labor and saving me about $500 compared to the other quote! Pedro also suggested a re-circulation pump (which did address my situation of it taking a long time for hot water in the bathroom), and gave a good/competitive price. I love my instant hot water now! I went through the Home Advisor app and promptly received a call from this company. I scheduled and appointment and their guys showed up promptly. The guy saw what needed to be installed and I was given a quote of $1,500 for the job. Since I've gotten 2 other quotes for between $300-500, I told the guy thanks but no thanks. I then scheduled the job with the other plumber and paid a fair and reasonable price of $475 to install a faucet, garbage dispisal, and reverse osmosis water filtration system. The job took less than two hours! Do NOT go through Home Advisor app! The $1,500 quote from My Legacy plumbing was just outrageous. read more

Brent and his team are committed to helping you get out of any bind. I was managing my own very major remodel and was dealing with competing timelines from a variety of tradesmen. I found out last minute that I needed a plumber due to a leak that was detected and that this leak was holding up all work. I called around and got wait times of 2-4 business days. I finally reached My Legacy and they were able to have someone out first thing the following morning. The remodel lead to further plumbing needs and in one instance, My Legacy had to reschedule an appointment for a Friday afternoon to the following morning. Ground for a complain, right? Not so much; they had to reschedule because they were caught in a job that took longer than normal making sure that an elderly woman was able to have water. In fact, the job kept that plumber out until 1:00 am but he was nothing but professional and courteous when he was at my home the next morning. This is a bit of a long story, but I wanted to be sure I captured all the details of my experience with My Legacy Plumbing. On Oct. 7, 2021, I signed a contract them to install a 50-gallon water heater. We made the first appointment for Oct. 30. They called me the day before and said they couldn't come on the 30th and that they would be there on Nov. 1. No problem. Two nice technicians showed up for the installation. They were here for about four hours, maybe a little more. They installed the new water heater in my garage (where the old one was), I paid the bill in full, and they left. I got up the next morning and started to head outside to get my newspaper in the driveway. When I opened the door to the garage, I got hit in the face with a wall of gas. I started coughing and choking immediately and knew something was very wrong. I pushed the garage door opener on the wall of the garage to open the door (which I shouldn't have done in retrospect because any spark could have ignited the gas). It was 5 a.m., and I called PG&E and told them that I had a heater put in the day before and it must be leaking. I waited outside for them to come. When the guy came, he told me that they put the connection on wrong. I videotaped him as he was telling me what went wrong. The only reason my house didn't blow up is that I turned off the furnace the night before because it was warm out that day, and I like a cool room. The heater is next to the brand-new furnace, which has four huge jets. At 8 a.m. that morning, I called Legacy Plumbing. The woman who answered the phone, Stephanie, was shocked. I told her I had a videotape and she told me to send it to them and that Brandon the owner would be calling me. I waited the next day, nobody called, and on the third day I called again and she was surprised that I hadn't heard from him because she said he was angry and he was going to fire one of the guys that was here and retrain the other (neither of those things happened to my knowledge, by the way). When I finally talked to Brandon, he told me that he was going to come over here the following week to make sure that everything was done to his standards. When he came here the following week, we were standing in my garage, and he said everything else with the job looked fine. He looked at the old galvanized pipe that vents out the heater, and he said, "You know what, I'm going to change that for you, even though I don't have to." I assumed he said this as a "make good" for nearly blowing up my house. He said the galvanized pipe would last 100 years. That made me feel good because his technician had a hard time connecting the vent to the new heater. He told me that one of the technicians had worked for him for seven months, and the other one was only on his first day. Brandon said he couldn't do this job right away because Thanksgiving was coming up and his schedule was booked. I told him after Thanksgiving was fine, no problem. By December 13th, I still hadn't heard from him, so I texted his office. Finally they came back Dec. 17th. Pedro rang my doorbell that Friday, and I told him I would meet him in front of my garage. He stood in the doorway, and I said the water heater was over there, pointing to it. He walked up to the water heater and said, "Oh, you want to estimate for a new one?" I laughed and said, "No, you're here to give me a new pipe," and I pointed to the old pipe. He said, "Well I really don't know why I'm here, nobody told me before I came." And he immediately called Brandon. Brandon said he never said any such thing to me. Absolutely unbelievable, especially after almost blowing up my house. After Pedro left, I went to look for my contract with Legacy. In the contract, it states that I was getting a new flue vent--I guess Brandon forgot? Who knows? I was also supposed to get a new pan for the heater with a drain that runs outside the house--I didn't get that, either. The drain now drains on the floor in my garage. Fantastic. Long story even longer: I wanted to get a second opinion on the work that was done here. I had already scheduled another company in early January, which installed my new furnace and air conditioner last year, to come for a maintenance check of the equipment. He was astonished at what happened and said it seems like neither one of those guys that came to my house to put in a gas heater were qualified to do so or had enough training. Putting the gas connection on incorrectly is a massive error. So, that's my story. If you decide to do business with this company, get everything in writing, (though, based on the writing in my contract, I guess that doesn't actually matter?). They're certainly not reliable, and they don't stand by their word. It's really a shame. read more

I can't think of a worse company!!! Now, I don't trust Home Advisor's ability to filter out garbage businesses. I needed a quote and a video to replace the main sewer line. At the first appointment, they showed up with NO EQUIPMENT (camera needed) and needed to reschedule. On the second visit, they put a camera in the sewer line and said they would write up a quote. At the end of the second appointment, I reminded them I needed a copy of the video, but they told me they didn't bring the right camera. They still charged me $400 and never gave me a quote or copy of a video. I kept calling for 6 months and was given the runaround. Every time I called, the plumber was either out on a job or he would call me back. They gave me every excuse in the book as to why it was taking so long. On one call, their system went down. Towards the end, Brandon (the plumber) assured me he was working on it and would get back to me as soon as possible. This was almost 6 months after they were at my house. I was told they switched to a new software which lost half of their clients!! I don't understand how it can take so long to write up a quote. They have shown zero effort to complete the service that they started. I was never rude to their staff this entire time, only courteous and patient. They are either incompetent or have zero business skills. If you like getting strung along and paying for service that wasn't completed, this plumbing company is for you. It would be nice if they would just do what I paid them for, it is very disappointing. I want a refund but I'm not holding my breath. I Feel like they scammed me. read more

WHO YOU GONNA CALL Well, when you have a plumbing emergency, even though it may be a minor emergency, who you gonna call? My Legacy Plumbing! Our kitchen sink had sprung a leak, and my wife and I didn't seem to be able to fix it ourselves. My wife was on her way to work, so she just gave me one order. Call somebody! I have to admit, I was kind of amazed when they told me that they could stop by within the hour! They asked me to text message them our address, and they would be by as soon as they could. Well, as you can probably guess, when they got here, they were able to fix the problem in about ten minutes, being professional plumbers. Problem solved, and they didn't even laugh, snicker or smirk! Truly nice guys! When it came to the bill, they were sincerely understanding. I already knew that I was going to pay a rather steep price for same day emergency service, but I was pleasantly surprised when they told me that they would only charge me half price because the problem had been so easy for them to fix. I am so disappointed with the service I received! The owner told me the type of faucet to purchase to replace the one we had, which was leaking and poorly installed. When they came out -- late -- they said they could not do it without charging me another few hundred dollars because the garbage disposal was not professionally installed. I agreed and they installed the faucet and repaired the garbage disposal installation, but the dishwasher air vent (which was part of the over $300 quote) was not installed. When I notified them that the job was not completed, I had to wait for another few days for them to return. They also did not replace the old soap dispenser with the new one, so the design did not match. When they returned to finish the job, they only installed the air vent. When I called to ask why wasn't the soap dispenser installed, the office manager then said she was just the office person and doesn't know what was communicated. When I asked to speak with someone who cares about the company, I was told the owner was on a job and did not have access to a phone. It cost me $250 for the Faucett and $550 for the incomplete installation AND if I purchased the wrong faucet, why couldn't the plumber have told me that in order to install both the air vent and the soap dispenser, I purchased the wrong one? No communication and an overpriced, incomplete job!!! read more

Legacy fixed the crazy plumbing that was done(not to code) and installed the missing overflow (which caused water to dump into my ceiling). Easy to work with and got the job done in time stated. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY'RE SCAMMERS. I went through home advisor to fix a leaking tub and running toilet. In my mind these were easy inexpensive fixes. Brandon and Kevin showed up early for our appointment which I didn't mind but that was about the only pos interaction I've had with them. They replaced my filter did something to the toilet and left charging me over $500 for this work. That same night the shower malfunctioned as well as the toilet. I called and texted their company over and over with no answer. I finally got someone. They came over and said oh someone must have DIYed this previously but we'll fix it. Now keep in mind I had no problems before they touched anything other than the leaking shower. They took apart my shower and "ordered parts" never called me back and left me with no shower for a month. 3 visits later and no resolution after a month they quoted me $2200 to fix whatever they broke. I was referred to this company through Home Advisor. I immediately received a phone call asking about what was going on so that we could set up our appointment. The gentleman who I spoke to though was completely condescending on the phone. I explained that I had flushed out my water heater (on the advice of a Home Inspector) and that when I went to turn on my water heater, it didn't turn on. I have relit my own pilot before, but this water heater was newer than I had experience with and had a sealed panel that I couldn't figure out how to open. Without looking at my water heater, he starts lecturing me about how I should never flush a water heater that's more than 4 years old and the inspector who told me to do so, didn't know what he was talking about. Furthermore, he told me that I basically broke my water heater and a new control panel was going to be $600, so I might as well just buy a new water heater. So I asked him if he thought it could possibly be the THERMO COUPLE. In which he responded in an irritated tone, MANAPLAINING to my feeble female mind that newer water heaters don't use THERMO COUPLES. Even though I was looking RIGHT AT A THERMO COUPLE. I told him I was looking at one, and he continued to MANSPLAIN to me that he had been "doing this for 23 years" and he wasn't trying to pull one over on me. So I told him "no thank you" and that I would find another opinion. Which he continued to berate me about how any plumber who knows what he's doing would tell me the same thing and that I needed to get a new water heater because my 7 year old water heater was now junk. 20 YouTube videos later, I found one that showed me how to open up the water heater. I pulled out the THERMO COUPLE, went to Home Depot, bought a new one for $13, replaced it, and what do you know, my water heater turned on. Please don't assume that all women have no idea what they are talking about. Especially when you haven't laid eyes on the problem in the first place. read more

Legacy Plumbing was by far the most amazing company I've ever worked with, I am a first time home buyer so when my water main broke last week I called them in tears not knowing what to do. Mind you I called them at 4:55 pm and they were getting ready to close at 5pm, however they told me to send pictures of my front lawn to them and also told me they would be out to my house in an hour to look at the damage. They arrived at my house in 30 minutes and literally explained to me my options, how much everything would be and put me at ease. They we awesome and I would recommend them to everyone I know. I had them coming out to my house cause the sink was leaking they cut my cabinet and wall and found a broken pipe and they fixed it even the wall and cabinet. Yesterday I noticed the leak was still there after we pay 1000 dollars. The guy spent more time looking for parts in stores then actually doing the job. Now I try to call them and leave message they did not call me back nor pick up the phone!! I just feel robed if I'm paying 1000 dollars at least fix my issue. Very sad read more

My Legacy is great. I had an emergency where everything was coming back up through my toilet. They came out after 5pm and snaked it out, finding that there were roots in the clean out to the street. They were able to come out the next day and get it all fixed for reasonable prices. If/when I have another plumbing issue, they will be the first that I call. read more

I don't like to leave bad reviews but I feel that I have to only because time wasn't important enough to this company..everything started well, talked to a gentleman on the phone, told him what I needed to have done, sent pictures and everything was set up. He was coming to my house to look at my bathroom and give me an estimate, appointment was between 1-3 PM on a Sunday afternoon. Sunday comes, I'm waiting..and waiting..and at 315 I recvd a call from a gentleman aliasing that he had to CANCEL our appointment and reschedule because he had emergency work to do - I get it, things happen, but he couldn't call me sooner like at 1 or 2, no he waited til after 3 to call me and then proceeded to tell me that he didn't want me to wait any longer because he didn't know how much longer this particular job would take. I willingly rescheduled for following day, which was Monday at 6. Once again I waited til 615 and called them and asked if they were en route and I was told by Brandon that someone was on their way and that they were stuck in traffic and that traffic was bad COMING FROM VACAVILLE..hmmm funny thing is I live in American Canyon and I drive home from work in the fairfield area and it's very rare that there is traffic coming from there into vallejo. And by the way, i cancelled the appointment and said thanks but no thanks because it was done to me the second time - my time wasn't important to this company neither was earning my business..oh and did I tell you that I knew they were lying about the traffic coming from vacaville at that time because I was on my way to vacaville after I cancelled the appointment! I'm out of town and the unit above the condo I'm selling had a leak that caused $1000's of damage to my unit. That owner was uncooperative, so I had to hire a plumber from long distance, on a same-day emergency call, to come stop the leak. My Legacy Plumbing responded incredibly fast, they were very patient with the challenges of working with the demanding upstairs neighbor, and were super professional.
