To get our house insured, we were told we needed to have a WiFi whole-house water shutoff valve installed. I called several places trying to get a rough bid, and Serieux Plumbing was the only Plumber to give me a rough quote of their labor and the part. Every other shop it felt like they wanted to see what neighborhood I lived in before deciding their price. Needless to say, I went with Serieux. Alvin, was our guy. He was super competent, patient, and explained (without over-explaining) what the process entailed and gave several options for acquiring the needed hardware at different price points. As we were walking the yard to find the water main (house is over 100 years old), we ran into my neighbor who actually was recommended to use Alvin/Serieux from a completely different source, and had already booked him later in the week! I made an appointment for Alvin to clear 2 bathroom sink clogs and to diagnose what was happening with the rust colored water coming out of the hall bathtub faucet. I was concerned there was a greater underlying issue needing attention. The sinks were easy for him to clear. Next, he asked several questions to determine if the tub's rust-colored water issue could be connected to the water heater, the type of pipe in my home, and/or if it was occurring elsewhere in the house, then he knew exactly what he must do when he returns for a second appointment. Within in a short time from giving our info to Home Depot, Alvin reached out to me asking to come out to do a free in-home estimate for our little project. Great guy and very knowledgeable about his trade. I needed to have my under-mount granite sink replaced. I had a quartz counter top that I did not want to replace sitting right on top of it.
