AUTHENTIC Mexican food. I've been in Mexico for 3 months and I gotta say this is pretty dang authentic, the workers all are from Mexico, the food too is cheap, per dish was $10! It's insane. Heavily recommend going here if you want some good real Mexican food. Only thing is it took a little long, food was 20 minutes wait. Amazing ambience tho!

Omg ! Just ordered and ate a whole order (5) chicken empanadas !! Sooo delicious , and just the right amount of heat in green sauce . Paired it with their so fresh guacamole, perfect just enough dinner ! I will be going back for more soon!

One word "Delicious" best Mexican food around!!! Would definitely recommend a smoothie, fajita meat has amazing flavors.

    Spicy Margarita Pitcher
    Marissa G.

Really enjoyed my visit to My Mexican House! Met up with a friend here who lives a bit far and it was worth the drive (about 45 minutes). Although a pitcher of the spicy margaritas were not listed on the menu, our waiter Eddie was more than happy to make us one. We expressed that most places don't spice up the margaritas well so he added a little extra jalapeno and some other spicy peppers too. He also added a certain spice with the salt rim to make it tasty too. Overall, I was very happy with the drink. I believe it was $34-36 for the pitcher and equaled to about 5-6 glasses which is great to share. I ordered the chorizo quesadillas which was served with refried beans, rice, sour cream, pico de gallo and a small side of guacamole (at no additional cost). I tried chorizo for the first time. I thought it was good but I would probably order chicken next time. I also don't normally have refried beans but I thought they were very flavorful. The meal was a good portion and filling. I look forward to returning if in the area again!

The beers are cold, the salsa is spicy and the tacos are delicious. I ended up here after a sunday afternoon drive with my family. I wish I would've known this was going to be one of the best authentic mexican restaurants before I walked in because now i have to drive 30-40 minutes every time i want mexican food now.

Such delicious food! I highly recommend trying this place.

Such delicious food! I highly recommend trying this place. The service was great and the margaritas were magnificent.

Amazing spot my now second best for authentic Mexican food. Food was amazing service was fast. True authentic food as well not Americanized. Spice was perfect and all of it was very fresh. Salsa also has perfect spice and consistency. Decor could get better the the hole in the wall spots normally have the best grub!

    Meaty vegetarian failure!

Our unfortunate luck to get the waitress that was on her first day. Waited almost 30 mins for chips and salsa. After begging for food, a beef enchilada finally arrived. I ordered vegetarian fajitas. Epic failure. So what does a starving vegetarian do? Survive by eating around a pile of meat! Sad...

Saw all the great reviews and went there but the experience was not really good. Service was slow because only one waiter was handling everything. Cocktails were extra sweet. Food was not great, it was less than ok. Nacho chips were cold and undercooked. I might come back some other time but I certainly wasn't impressed this time.

Who would've thought this hole in the wall with my grandmothers table clothes would be such an excellent dinner. The nachos are out of this world with crave worthy shredded chicken. Fantastic homemade salsa, grilled fish, empanadas, tacos with soft corn tortillas all homemade by the grandmother in the kitchen. They deliver which is music to my ears. The only negative would be the service. Our server didn't speak any English so Even though I pointed to the shrimp dish I wanted I received the wrong one. She also didn't come back to the table at all for more drinks or follow ups. BUT despite that...Love love love and can't wait to go back!

Not great. You learn a lot about a Mexican restaurant from their salsa and chips. I've had better Mexican in Ohio.

I will copy and paste this review across the Park Ridge and Mahwah locations so emphasize my appreciate for their consistency in providing great Mexican food. If you are consistently performing, Linguini will take care of you. Like I've taken care of many others. I will bring you to the top with me. If you backstab me. Oh if you come for me at the top, you will reach an abyss so deep you may end up digging to China. Don't test me. I'm not that guy. Anyways, I've tried a lot from Azteca. Most of what they've got is a 4/4.5 out of 5 but I'm rounding up for the full experience. Phenomenal price point. Variety of food that all comes out well. Performs well in restaurant and when the food travels. Friendly staff. And local business of which I support. I suffer from GGS - Good Guy Syndrome, sorry not sorry. My motha, bless her soul. I legit mean bless her soul. Be nice. Pray. Bow down to her. She doesn't eat much food but she even loved the taco salad here so much that she asked to go again. So much protein, so well seasoned. Just as their other options showcase as well. My personal favs are the Kash Burrito and the, what I'd call "trademark" Cod Burrito. Never have seen it elsewhere like this. The wrap is toasted wonderfully, great rice, great salsa. I mean this place just does it real well. I've had tacos, appetizers, desserts. Never let down. El Azteca is consistently good. Constantly pushing out quality product. Is it the best Mexican I've had? No. But it's the most underrated. Being a consistent 4, makes you a five in my books. It's like that girl that's occasionally a 6 or occasionally an 9... you can't bring her home. But that girl that's consistently a 7 or an 8? You let her meet the fam. I don't where I'm going with this one. All I'll say is STOP. Stop going to Chipotle, Bubbakoo's, etc. when you could be supporting a better quality and friendlier priced location in El Azteca. Thank you in advance. I will be watching - LB.

But the food needs work , the chips and salsa were good , we ordered the fresh made guacamole made at the table was also good but ,Missing seasoning, lime juice and some type of chopped cilantro. The Mexican rice was bland , tasteless no sofrito and , missing seasoning the refried beans were ok ..My wife didn't like the taco salad it had cucumbers something you never put in a taco salad even the tomato slices were thick cut , she only liked the shell Lol.My son in-laws fried fish was good he liked it , and my sons chimichanga were also taste less compared to many others he has had elsewhere. We did like the drinks the service was ok but we had to wait some time before-our waiter came by . The food is still great. We had scallops, chorizo, brussels sprouts, and a flounder ceviche special. Everything was delicious. The ceviche in particular stood out -- fresh, well-portioned, and nicely "cooked" in lime juice. The sangria is still a highlight too. A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill. It's disappointing because the food is still very good, but the service issues -- and now the added fees -- are taking away from the experience. After this visit, we'll think twice before coming back.
