Food quality / price (value) rating 10. The atmosphere is the Wild West revisited crossed with a restored barn. An open dining area devided by half walls and glass walls, with a focal point on a beautiful fireplace and large mural depicting a cowboy herding a wild herd of horses. They have a large, sunny outdoor seating area. There is sporadic live entertainment. I had a Margherita made with Cointreau, whitch makes a huge difference, with a few leaves of fresh mint for added flavor dimension. I also had a Caesar Salad that included a well made dressing and freshly made croutons. They have limited but well chosen draught offerings, and a full bar with about 25 stools. The owner, Damir, has operated other successful local restaurants, and brings his experience to bear here. My server, Dickson, was attentive and polite. I had a freshly House made eclair for dessert, which was excellent and properly made. I also had a Keoke Coffee perfectly custom made by Dickson. The Western theme is unique to the area and will attract Western theme seekers. I'll definitely bring the wife next time!

Brought my family here for dinner on a busy Friday evening. It feels like a nice pub inside and has been cleaned up a bit since it was the Red Rooster Pub. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I had a pear old-fashioned which was good. I could taste the peach. My wife had the passion margarita, which she enjoyed. We order the giant pretzel as an appetizer. Which arrived quickly but was slightly burned. But it did not hurt it and the honey mustard and cheese sauces were good. I had a friendship that was good but could have been shaved thinner. The only real negative I'd like to point out is that for the southwest chicken wrap my daughter order we asked specifically for ranch as opposed to chipotle ranch didn't happen. Not the world's biggest deal. I thought I should mention it. The entrée seem a little overpriced in my opinion. But the quality of the food is good.

We recently hosted my daughter's baby shower here, and I honestly cannot say enough good things. From start to finish, the experience was over-the-top excellent. The service was exceptional--attentive, warm, and incredibly well organized. The staff went out of their way to make sure every detail was perfect, and they did it with genuine kindness and professionalism that made the day feel truly special. The food was outstanding. Everything was beautifully presented, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Our guests are still talking about how good it was. This was a once-in-a-lifetime celebration for our family, and this restaurant exceeded every expectation. If you are considering a place for a special event--or even just a wonderful meal--I highly recommend it. We are so grateful for the unforgettable experience.

Previously, the Red Rooster in Newtown. We were mildly upset about them going out of business, but that has passed. The new owners are well-versed in restaurants (experience) and they are doing something great here. Although similar to the previous menu, the additions and revisions are fantastic. Exactly what was needed. We had the Skillet Nachos, Hot&Spicy Wings, and Al Pastor tacos. All delicious. Not the most obviously diverse plates, but as staples... they were perfect. For mains, we had Fish & Chips (I'm ALWAYS searching for the best) and the Chicken Bacon Sandwich. Both were good, but the Fish & Chips was actually great. I'm glad I found it. Servers were very friendly and the new decor was a significant update to the previous. Definitely worth a visit. This place is in business and bringing out the best.

Unassuming from the outside, this local treasure opens into a cozy restaurant and event space with exceptional food and drink. Between the crackling fireplace, plush lounge seating, warm wood accents, sleek bar, and navy banquettes, the atmosphere feels both inviting and refined. The bartenders and entire staff were warm, polished, and genuinely attentive, creating an experience centered around the guest. My martini was aggressively shaken and served in a short coupe, topped with a delicate layer of ice crystals; despite the chill, the vodka-to-vermouth ratio was perfectly balanced. It was garnished with stellar Castelvetrano olives, freshly opened and proudly presented as an elevated touch to the classic cocktail. As for the fare, it was hands down one of the best meals I've enjoyed in quite some time. The Wagyu coulotte was cooked to perfection, accompanied by expertly prepared oyster mushrooms and crisp shoestring tallow fries. I could go on and on about the experience, but I'll simply say I can't wait to return. The thoughtful details and genuine hospitality made for an outstanding night out. We ordered the falafel as an appetizer and I will dream of this! You could tell it was freshly made and I don't think I'll ever have falafel that tastes better anywhere else! I had the shepherds pie, and it was delightful. There was a lot of beef and it had a lot of flavor.. even the potatoes had an incredible flavor and it was more than enough as a serving! The waitress was very sweet and accommodating - even with their technology down. 10/10 would recommend!

Be prepared to order drinks and entrees almost immediately after being seated, before you've really had a chance to look over the menu or hear the specials. It felt rushed. The ambiance was very nice. If you're hoping for a table overlooking the lake, keep in mind those are reserved for parties of four or fewer. The portions were generous, but they do charge a fee to split meals. We shared the Four Cheese Pub Nachos, but they weren't ideal for sharing. The melted cheese made them difficult to divide, there wasn't a serving utensil, and the chips were soggy. The RI Crispy Calamari was a hit with those in our group who could eat gluten. The biggest disappointment was the steaks. We ordered a NY Strip and a Filet Mignon, both medium leaning toward rare, but both arrived badly burned on the outside and not cooked as ordered. Our waitress was friendly and offered to remake my steak or bring me something else, but by then everyone else was nearly finished eating, so either option would have meant dining alone. I appreciated that they removed my steak from the bill without any argument. Overall, the atmosphere, gluten-free options, and most of the food were good, but based on our experience, I'd steer (pun intended) clear of the steaks.

Woodbury Brewing Company is a craft brewpub that opened in Woodbury, Connecticut in December 2017…read more It was founded by friends and business partners Allan Cetrone, Tim Budrewicz, T.J. D'Alexander and Ken Mair. After he found his previous employer's ethical standards unconscionable, Cetrone decided to quit and find a new line of work. He and his friends frequently got together at a backyard barn man-cave which was complete with a fridge and kegerator. Cetrone had also been experimenting with his own homebrewed beers. Once their man cave became a popular spot for family gatherings, the four friends decided to open their own brewery. The taproom has a rustic saloon aesthetic (a nod to the friends' backyard barn man-cave) complete with a stage for live musical acts to perform. In addition to the housemade beer, WBC also serves wine, cider, craft cocktails, and a large menu of delicious food from their in-house kitchen. I recently visited Woodbury Brewing Company for the first time. I had heard that they host a lot of live music acts and I purchased a ticket to see Hudson Valley-based Rush tribute band "Limelight". I'm a HUGE Rush fan, so I was really excited to see the group perform. I arrived over an hour before the show started. I had a reserved table right by the stage. There was a modest crowd when I first arrived, but the whole taproom was packed by the time the show started. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Nashville Hot GIANT Chicken Sandwich" (hot honey, cajun spice, pickles, mayo) with "Sweet Potato Fries" as well as an order of "Cheese Curds" (served w/ house-made marinara). I was totally shocked when the food finally came to the table. When they say "giant chicken sandwiches", they mean GIANT! I could barely fit the sandwich into my mouth, but it was so delicious! The sweet potato fries were equally big and delicious, and the cheese curds were really good too! Throughout my visit, I enjoyed pours of "Yummy Beers" (Double New England IPA), "Collusion" (New England IPA), and "Barrel-Aged Don't Go Romanov" (Barrel-Aged Russian Imperial Stout). They were all surprisingly good! Limelight also gave an excellent performance to the very energetic crowd. Overall, I had quite an enjoyable evening and I'll definitely be back! I already have a ticket to another show!
