They were going to…read morecome early on Sunday to do an estimate and when the appointment was made I said it has to be early, as I have an appointment in late morning that I will not miss. They called and said their tech would be late, and I said that is unacceptable so please cancel the appointment. The lady on the phone got pushy and I said "No, cancel the appointment". She then insisted "we will show up" and if I wanted to reschedule I needed to do it right now. I said "No, I don't have my work calendar and I am not waiting for the tech to show up late. Please cancel the appointment." She said ok and I thought that was that. Nope. In the middle of my appointment I got 7 calls from this company saying the technician was outside and where was I. I didn't answer a single call, because at this point I was like, you've got to be kidding me. Then they left a two messages, one doing a quote, without photos or visiting my home--how do you do that? The other asking why I missed the appointment. This morning they called, again, and I am done. I told him what I have written here. They could offer me a free rescreen and I wouldn't accept. If they are this pushy and poorly managed on the phone, what would it be like to have them in my home, no thank you. This is what you get from a corporation and not business here in the local area.

After a long year of searching for the right glass / mirror company to replace an odd shaped…read morebuilder mirror, we found Glass Guru. Out of at least 20 companies we reached out to, they were the only company that would come on site and evaluate the project. I set up an appointment with Marcos, the owner, and he was so nice, helpful and had excellent advice. He took the time to help construct a solution that would stand the test of time and had a low failure rate. This made me realize that the other contractors would have failed in installing this massive mirror (almost 9'x5'). We had a few blips along the way and he had to install 2 mirrors and had ordered another one due to manufacturer's defects. This was devastating to both of our timelines but the team - Marcos, Josh and Diane - were so professional and reassuring about it all. They knew this would be completed at 100% of our expectations and nothing less. They must have come here half a dozen times to quell any concerns. And, Diane was so nice over the phone. We worked a lot with Josh for the follow up appointments and he is a perfectionist. He made sure the wall was ready for the initial and follow up installs as when you take a mirror down, it can be messy and can also rip down part of the wall too. We also had a 3D bump out which made it more challenging. He and his counterpart measured everything over and over and took his time installing. We are thrilled with the end result. They knew they could do this and they certainly did. They are not the cheapest but they are the most thorough and make sure the project is done to satisfaction. Whether you have an easy project or a tough one, this is the company I'd absolutely trust and recommend.

It's hidden downtown behind some buildings but there is designated customer parking for ppl coming in and out. There is a bay door next to the office where a ring goes off when someone walks in and then someone comes and greets you. You can call as well but I've gone in typically for framing work with my frames. They are already knowledgeable of thickness or smoothing edges if you tell them what you need the piece(s) and can give recommendations. They give you a call when your order is ready and pending what you need it doesn't typically take long. Super friendly staff, great customer service! It's personable and you can tell they care about their work.

The woman on the phone was courteous and gave him an estimate. First off- We went in on a Friday to drop the frame off and they called us with it fully ready first thing on Monday morning. That's incredible! We were thrilled with the quick turnaround. Secondly- This frame is one made and carved by my great grandfather and hols incredible sentimental value. It is also quite delicate due to the intricate carvings. They were attentive when we let them know to please handle it gently and with care and it was returned to us in the same condition as when we left it. A+ for that! Lastly- the customer service was excellent. Randy was there when we arrived to pick it up and he was not only so helpful in getting the large (and heavy) mirror into the back of our car, but he also asked us about the frame and commented on the craftsmanship. When he heard it was made by my great grandfather, he showed me some really cool features in the wood on the back that I wouldn't have noticed. He said he is a bit of a woodworker himself, so he really appreciated the piece and I have to say- it made my day! I shared the info he gave me with me family and it was just really special to know a bit more about my great grandfather's process and precision. Thank you, Randy! COVID note: They have a lobby area but have a sign asking you to go right in through the open garage doors to the shop so as to keep you from being in a small enclosed lobby during these crazy times.
