I own a home in Dana Point with a lot of exterior wood, mostly teak. Due to sun exposure and the salt air, the house requires regular maintenance. It is almost like owning a boat. The last two companies we hired seemed more concerned with finishing the job quickly than with doing the job right. The work they performed did not last, peeling off within 18 months. When Alex came to evaluate the job he was able to tell me what they had done wrong, and why. In contrast to the previous crews, the My Teak Pro workers seemed focused on the work in front of them, trying to do the best job possible. Looking at our newly refinished exterior woodwork, the skill and dedication of the My Teak Pro crew shows through. Alex/Francisco (the owner) had several good suggestions as to how the house trim could be improved. He promised to check back in 12 months to see how everything looks, and in 18 months to determine what maintenance is needed. And on top of all that, they helped me reset a security camera mounted high up under the eaves to connect to a new router. Francisco charged me $1250 to refinish the outside (only) of my front door. The clear coat is patchy and missing in some areas. The sanding wasn't smooth in corners. The door now sticks (and didn't before). There was varnish on my living room floor and the glass of the door. It wasn't the quality workmanship that I expected for the price tag. We hired My Teak Pro to seal brand new teak furniture. They didn't show up to the first appointment and I had to reschedule. When they came they were quick to apply sealant and left. Literally days later everything ran off leaving horrible streak marks and stains all over our cushions. All of the furniture looks completely destroyed. Nothing held the seal and now a month in looks weathered and ruined. When I sent pictures to the owner he agreed that it looked awful. The streak marks are horrible and many areas have no sealer at all. I have since hired a new company that has to completely sand and start over. It's very expensive to fix the problem which never should have happened in the first place to brand new furniture! read more

We asked him to restore 4 high quality Kingsley Bate bar height chairs that are 10-13 years old. He made them look brand new. And, at a very competitive price. This illustrates that high end furniture that is properly maintained is clearly worth the money. He will be stopping by every 6 months to keep our chairs new from now on. Saw their truck in my neighborhood and called them about refurbishing our Romeo & Juliet lounger. Got a return call 5/24/2018, from the voicemail message that I left. Alex was the contact and the (910) area code took me off guard. I texted a batch of pictures, that I felt were an accurate depiction of the nearly 10 year old piece of furniture. Five (5) lapsed and I sent a follow-up text on 5/29/2018. Alex promptly acknowledged my earlier texts, which included a number of pictures, and promised a written estimate in "just a little bit".
