Had a rough experience at another Thai restaurant in town and knew where I could get some consist customer service！Max is awesome and goes above and beyond to not only remember what you eat but to take the time to make sure your meal is brought out together (with your group) and correct!! We came here at 6:00 and did not get our food until an hour later. The waiter made jokes and we did not understand what he was saying. He was also being rude but i didn't think he knew he was because he couldn't speak english well. Drove from Beatty to eat here . Food looked legit. Pull up to this place in a gas station parking lot and walk in to an empty place. Trusting the yelp reviews and photos I feel confident. A man in a mask is standing there in what appears to be the take out section so I lead my family closer to the arch of where the dining room starts. He asks "here for pick- up?" I said no and smile. Then he asks "what can I help you with if you're not here for pick up?" . I'm a little stumped. Either he has the biggest attitude or I'm missing something . This place is clearly a sit down restaurant. Me and my partner look at each other puzzled. I said "excuse me?" And he said "what can I help you with?" My partner said "we're here to eat". It's super tense at this point. I said "this is a restaurant right ?" He repeats "so what can I help you with " I'm a pregnant woman in the heat of the desert, I'm not playing some eastern riddle and I know he can't be this rude. Perhaps he was annoyed I walked up to the arch of the dining room. But really?? I said "I'm confused." His response ? "It's too easy of a question for you to be confused and then rolls his eyes! My partner said "yeah I don't think so." We turn to walk out and he's taking menus to the dining room . We're almost to the door he comes back, puts the menus back in the pile. My east coast upbringing can't tolerate this must stupidity at this point. This guy literally had the audacity to walk over to me trying to put a take out menu in my hands ! It was a really fun experience to take photos with Krystal and Chad, they were really nice, patient, and helpful. We had the three hours photo tour (but it ended with nearly 4 hours until the light was gone and we could not take more photos!), it was a great value to have the sets as we had really nice photos in three different places. This is my go to place when in Pahrump. The food is good and made to order. Authentic as it gets outside of Thailand and although it is not a big place the reception and service is great. Run by a thai family as a true family business. Dad and mom run the kitchen and their son, Max, is the host/waiter/server. I like the Pad CHa cha and the TOM Ka Gai, but you cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Ask Max he will help you. read more

My Thai is great! My wife and I discovered this when we went there for our weekly Thai Tuesday, a silly tradition that we started last year. I wear a tie to work and we eat Thai food for lunch. You can call in your orders from their handy menu and Max, or whoever is behind the counter, will have your order ready to go when you get there. This is a great option if you want to get their food for lunch, as My Thai is a little off the beaten trail. Speaking of lunch, all I have had is their cashew chicken lunch special, but it was very delicious and easy on the wallet. The special will come with soup to if you are willing to pay the fifty cents for a to-go cup; it comes with the meal for dine-in. The special changes everyday so I need to go back on another day besides Tuesday, but that would mess up the alliteration. Thai Wednesday or Thursday doesn't sound as nice, but I think I'll get over it! read more

In the past I have liked this place. I'll not go back. Any time the food takes two hours to arrive it's not worth it.. Max is delightful, but didn't compensate for the long wait. Took friends to eat here tonight it was the WORST experience EVER! Two hrs for our meal 15 mins to even get our drinks! Then after 2 hrs our food comes out cold!!! NOT luke warm but cold!!! We complained BUT they refused to make it right with us! They had 3 other tables in there ppl waiting BUT they 100% stopped cooking to call the owner- the parents were the cooks but had to call the daughter! AND it was so cold in there they had the heat off we had to wear our coats- ok I know ur thinking we shld of just left- YES! But we had waited so long already- nvr been there b4 ppl have off days we just gave them the benefit of the doubt. NVR again will we go there or refer ppl to My Thai- its so embarrassing to take friends out and then bad food and bad service! Is this what its come down too- ppl get accepting of bad service and bad food then be treated so shitty!!! AND as we were leaving after we pd- the waiter says: Wheres my tip? R U effing kidding me? Its a small town and word spreads like wildfire here- they dont care they are getting several bad reviews-bottom line- we were treated like crap! $80 later not even an apology to us for bad service and bad food- SMH! First I'm gonna say Thai food is my favorite cuisine and I've had Thai food from a lot of different areas since I travel quite a bit. I know not to expect all Thai restaurants to be like the awesome ones in LA/Orange county areas and I've had quite some disappointments before but none impelled me to write a review like this one. My mom ordered Tom Yum soup, level 7 spicy. I ordered Tom Yum noodle, level 9 spicy. My husband ordered drunken noodle, level 7 spicy. First comes Tom Yum soup. It's spicy alright but extremely sweet at the same time!!! I've had Tum Yum even in Quebec and it's not like this! So I rushed to the counter (since our waiter has earphone in both ears at all time so he can't hear us). I told them not to put sugar in my Tum Yum noodle but ended up getting some random soup noodle with no spice at all! (No, they did not warn me before they completely changed the dish. After all, it was supposed to be Tum Yum 9/10 spicy!!!!) Then comes the drunken noodle...sweet! At the very end, the waiter said it was the chili paste that's sweet. Great, so they only have one type of chili paste for all dishes.. Then to top it off, the service. I already mentioned that the waiter wears earphones in both ears the entire time even when he was taking our orders and he only took them out toward the end when we asked him questions. Then the same waiter (there was only one) was extremely rude to my mom when she asked him for a pen to sign for the bill. Yes, mom's English isn't that great but instead of explaining to her that he's gonna bring it later after taking her credit card, this guy started to gesture to her with no words but only full of condescending attitude. WE WERE SHOCKED!!!! I would expect as a English language learner himself, he would at least show some basic respect to other immigrants. Instead of apologizing, he simply piled on smile and brushed it off as nothing happened. The only reason I gave two stars is because it was toward the end of the day and we were appreciative that we got in, even though two large groups came after us. read more

He made sure to talk to us and describe his take on Thai food, after we mentioned that we had both lived in Bangkok before. I had the crispy pork and basil, a dish I hadn't tried before. Excellent. Apparently, the menu frequently lists mint, but they mean Thai basil. I love buying Thai basil any time I'm in an Asian grocery. This place is a trek to find (from the Pahrump Nugget Hotel) on a foggy night, and unassuming from the outside. Worth a visit. read more

I have had the pleasure of eating in some fabulous Thai food restaurants around the country and would have never expected one of the best to be in the middle of nowhere next to a gas station in Pahrump. Both the food and service here are first class. The waiter is quite the character and had us laughing the whole time. The dining area and restrooms were extremely clean.
