My family and I had just driven 10 hours and after checking into our hotel, we went scurrying looking for some comfort food. My Thai came highly recommended here and we decided to give it a shot. It was not an easy find and we finally made it just before it closed for the evening. Here's why we loved it: (1) The food was amazing! I've lived in Southeast Asia for a few years and I know what good Thai food should taste like. We ordered the papaya salad and the green curry and both of them were top notch! We like our food slightly spicy and it didn't disappoint us (2) The service was excellent! Watching a husband & wife as they do a sensual dance in their kitchen at My Thai in Pahrump NV. It's packed. Their sweet son seats, serves, busses, takes phone orders & handles the register. They all flow so beautifully together. I'm in love. I haven't eaten yet, but I've asked them to adopt me. Delicious Authentic Thai & Thai Chinese Food in Pahrump We drove out from Las Vegas and enjoyed an amazingly delicious delicious authentic Thai meal at My Thai in Pahrump. Though the waiter was reluctant to offer suggestions without knowing our tastes and spice tolerances, we took time to explain that we prefer to dine on authentic Thai seafood dishes and we love spice (the hot kind). Max, our waiter and the son in the nuclear family triad that runs My Thai pointed out the "Hot Plate Seafood" made with shrimp, mussels, crab meat, scallops, fish-ball, and mushrooms stir fried in a spicy basil ginger sauce. We went with that and an order of their Crispy Squid (Calamari) served with a delicate (non-red) sweet & sour dipping sauce. In short, the food was fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality, authentic ingredients. The spice level was perfect, and the seafood entree was on of the most authentic my wife and I have ever tasted outside of Thailand (where we spend a lot of time). We arrived at the Mai Thai a little after 5 p.m. We were the first customers of the evening. We knew there was going to be a wait. An hour and 1/2 later, we were still waiting. The waiter came to our table after other customers received their orders and told us he had forgotten to put in an order for us, they would get right on it. Half an hour later, we were still waiting for our order. We finally told them we were leaving - they brought our order out in about 5 minutes. My Husband had ordered the the seafood plate which was supposed to include a variety of seafood. It had a few shrimp, a little bit of squid, a few fish balls - about half what the menu listed. I ordered the appetizer platter. It was just plain pitiful! The chicken, as well as the egg rolls and wontons, were tasteless, old and dry. Definitely not worth the price. This is the story with me. I always go into a hole in the wall expecting non impressive results. Soon after, I'm kicking myself as I walk out the door. My Thai doesnt look impressive from the outside. It's in the same building as a convenience mart and laundromat! The decor was a little tacky. All this aside, the food was amazing! I had the Panang Curry with chicken. You know that feeling when you have a home cooked meal? Or see why soul food is called soul food? In this case, my stomach was full and my heart was happy. Probably the best Thai food I've had so far. Although it was getting busy and the server was a one man show, he maintained an upbeat and funny composure. Very long wait. Nice folks but unbelievably long time. Went here due to strong Yelp review. We waited over 1 1/2 hour and finally left. They gave us a little rice to tide us over. Go to My Thai fairly regularly. This week the curry was so well balanced I decided I needed to post. The food is always fresh, prepared with respect, and the service is wonderful. We eat Thai in various cities quite a bit and I have been to Thailand several times. I was a little concerned because some of the reviews complained about slow service. We went on a Tuesday night around 6:30 pm the week before Christmas and there was no one in the restaurant. So our food came quick. The server had a very colorful personality. I can see why it was a turn off for some people, but he was nice and attentive to our needs. The food was definitely above average Thai Food. Especially the chicken noodle soup. Lots of fresh greens and veggies with thicker sized noodles. My companion got ginger tofu. She said it was above average as well. The only disappointment was the crispy egg rolls. They were bland and expensive. Skip them and just order the main course. We were here a few days ago and she had green curry with tofu and it was great. We would eat here again but would probably not order pad Thai, because the curry is just that good. Hidden authentic Thai cuisine in Pahrump! Having lived in LA and traveling frequently to San Francisco, I feel like I've had some darn good Thai food. My Thai, holds its own, and punches well above it's weight in a corner of Nevada where you might be happy to find a Panda Express. Anyplace else, this gem would be packed 24/7. Yes, there may be General Gau's chicken on the menu, but thank goodness the owners have adapted their offerings to a wide variety of tastes. Look more closely and you'll be rewarded with some delicious flavors. The Prad Cha Cha Cha was fantastic, as was the Green Papaya Salad and Mint Crispy Pork. Prices are very reasonable, especially given that the portions are generous, and they're not hiding the meat in a sea of veggies. Service is genuine and friendly. read more

Good food and superb services! The restaurant is run by a family, the mother cooks and her son as the waiter. We were traveling in Nevada, and it was late, we just wanted to have some asian food to eat and got this address through the web, we were half disappointed to see this totally unassuming small restaurant standing in the middle of nohwere. But once inside of the restaurant, we were amazed by how nice the services were there, the son was extremely nice to the customers. We ordered some fried rice, noodles and icecream as dessert, the food was great and the portion was large, we all loved it. And also you can choose how spicy the food is on a scale of ten.
