I hired Tyler Handyman Services to install a walk-in shower for $1500 plus $250 for materials…read morewhich later I found out I have been lied to. From the start, he and his partner struggled and clearly didn't know what they were doing. They claimed to be professionals, but later I found out they were not licensed and had no real experience with shower installations. They worked until nearly midnight without my permission, upsetting my neighbors and getting me an HOA fine. The first time I used the shower, it leaked everywhere--water spread across the bathroom floor and even damaged the kitchen ceiling below. When a licensed contractor opened the walls, he found drywall instead of cement board, no moisture barrier, no insulation, and no sealant around pipes--all proof of unsafe, improper work. The materials they used cost maybe $50 total, not the $250 they charged. When I confronted him, he denied everything and refused to refund any money, showing complete dishonesty and lack of accountability. I ended up paying about $2,800 more to a licensed professional to fix the damage. Please avoid this business unless you want to risk leaks, hidden damage, and being misled by someone who will not stand behind their work.
