The sandwiches here are not anything special, unfortunately. For $14, I expected a pretty decent sandwich, but the best thing about it was the Boars Head paper wrap around the sandwich (doesn't that wrap just make the sandwich look so much tastier?) The "turkey avocado" had more like a thin avocado spread, which is fine by me, but the spread was browning and didn't look very appealing. Same for the greens, I'm surprised at how those did not look fresh either. The bread was disappointing as well. Overall, it was not a very good sandwich and I probably won't be returning. I'd rather spend $6 at Romas in Pasadena and get a tasty Italian sandwich. read more

Taste: 5/5 I love their turkey avocado on their sourdough roll. They use the Boar's Head brand for their meat and cheeses. You can taste the quality. Portion size: 4/5 Portion size for the price is decent. I feel like my sandwiches were heavier when I first started going there but have gotten slightly lighter lately. Maybe I just had bad luck on those days. It's not skimpy enough where I won't go back. I wish that the sandwiches were a little bit bigger for $12-$15 sandwiches. Maybe 12" rolls as opposed to only 10" rolls? Overall: 4.5/5 I love the friendliness, quality of food, and speediness on the orders. So I messaged the business directly regarding my concerns and haven't heard back, so hopefully they hear this. I love a good sandwich. The bread here is chewy, the sandwiches are flavorful and there's no extra charge for avocado. Although, the sandwiches are pricey, the quality is there. I thought I found my go to sandwich spot ...until... I witnessed an employee scratch her forehead while making a sandwich. Yes, she had on gloves but come on now. Go off to the side, away from the prep area, take off the glove scratch your head, wash your hands, then put on new gloves and proceed. Thank god she wasn't making my sandwich. But to add insult to injury, when I bit into my sandwich there was a long brownish/blonde hair in it!!!!!! OmFG! She was making my sandwich... ughhhhhh! Hygiene and sanitation is a BIG F here! Reading someone else's review they too had an issue with sanitation. So I have to say a big NOPE will I ever come here again! It's not hard to make a delicious sandwich. You know, I recently moved down here and my go to made gigantic sandwiches back where I use to live for around 11 bucks. Over here they cost around 15, the bread is about 60 percent of the size, and there is barely any layers of meat in their Italian sub. I am use to the sandwiches being stuffed with deli meat, so you actually get full. The dressing here tasted like olive oil (probably wasn't shaked and the oil settled in the bottle) it was just a sorry and expensive excuse for a deli sandwich experience. Great sandwiches! Delicious fresh veggies and top of the line meats. Bread is superb! I would give 5 stars but the shop stinks like cigarettes! The air inside is stale and unappealing. The back door is clearly open and that's, apparently, where employees from the other businesses in the strip mall there, take their smoke breaks. If the owner/operator is a smoker he is more than likely nose blind to this unappealing aspect. I will continue to get my sandwiches there and encourage my friends and coworkers to do the same.
