However, I received an invoice last year that charged me for a contact lens fitting, which was expensive and had not been performed. When I called to discuss the charge, I was told it was standard practice, even if the service wasn't actually provided. I was upset and explained that I would not pay for services not rendered, to which the person on the phone responded that I was welcome to do so. Today, a year later, I returned for a different issue, hoping to move past the previous overcharging incident. However, I was informed that they would no longer do business with me, putting me in another outrageously frustrating situation. This seems to be the practice at this establishment. I would recommend double-checking your invoices if you decide to use their services. As I stood on the street, I had to remind myself of what had just happened: they tried to cheat me out of my money, and when I refused to accept their tactics and returned, they said they would not do business with me. I have never been treated like this anywhere in my life!

I walked in during lunchtime and Mike was very accommodating and was able to adjust both my glasses pretty significantly for the perfect fit. He went way beyond a quick tweak make it work and made sure that they both fit excellently before walking away. Much appreciated!

I ordered and paid for a pair of glasses on July eighth. On July 15th I attempted to call the store…read moreto see if my glasses had come in. There was no answer. I tried several more times to reach the store by phone and there was never an answer. Towards the end of the day I contacted another LensCrafters and explained that I couldn't reach anyone at the Boulder location. A very nice person there said they would reach out to the Boulder store and have them get in touch with me. I never heard anything back. On July 16th I attempted to contact the store and had the same results. No answer. I asked others to call the store and see if they could get any answers with the same result. On July 17th I received a text message saying my glasses were in. We arrived at the location and Christian began to help us. I told him I was concerned that their phones may not be working. He said they were fine. I explained that we had tried to contact the store and he explained that they were short staffed. I asked where one of their regular employees was and he said they were not with them any more. He explained it was LensCrafters choice to part ways with him. I was surprised that he shared that employees employment decision with me. I expressed my concern that customers could not reach the store by phone and suggested that they could call customers back when it was slower. He quickly dismissed that and said we don't have time. I asked if I could speak to the Regional Manager (Jessica) and he said that I would not be able to. I asked if he could give her my contact information so she could call me and he said he would not do that. I explained that his corporate owners (Essilor Luxottica) would not be pleased with his handling of customer concerns. He said he doesn't work for them. I then asked for and received a refund. He threw the glasses case into the trash. This was among the worst examples of customer service that I have ever witnessed or experienced. We went to Warby Parker, purchased two pairs of glasses and had fantastic customer service. The difference between the two businesses was night and day. I hope that this is isolated at LensCrafters and that Christian was perhaps just simply having a bad week. If you want a pleasant, friendly and fun experience go to Warby Parker. It's a short walk from this LensCrafters. If you want a frustratingly rude experience LensCrafters Boulder will give you that.

The new lenses were a little off. They made me a little dizzy walking around with them. I told the optician my concerns, but her responses were repeatedly a dismissive "weird" and "interesting." Only saying they were the same prescription. Fine, but I could not see as well as the original ones. Even after I mentioned that I've had glasses not right at other places, they had been able to adjust them perfectly, and could she try that? She made a slight adjustment to the nose piece and told me to wear the lenses for a few days. That was silly, as I should be able to see through them as perfectly as the originals...and they made me dizzy! The fact that she was so unwilling to help was incredibly frustrating. Ultimately, I had to refuse the new lenses and have my old ones put back in. Her immediate "okay" showed a complete lack of concern. I am disappointed that spending $700 gets me this kind of customer service. If I could have seen clearly, I obviously would have walked away with them. I drove from Boulder to get them. She was completely unconcerned that these did not work for me. Glasses are expensive. Go somewhere where your vision is important to them.

The lady that works at the front desk is extremely nice and accommodating when you have changes to your schedule or questions. Dr. Eland it's especially homework from me for not trying to push too hard towards the glasses/contacts that they sell as opposed to filling prescriptions elsewhere. This is not a thing I would've thought of except for the last optometrist I went to before Berthoud Vision was all about the upsell, and not so much about my actual vision. The exam I had from an ophthalmologist in Aurora last year doesn't meet the "within six months" requirement; and, since I'm not fond of driving on I-25 (especially in the Denver area), I wanted to find someone closer to home. Long story short: I won't be driving to Aurora anymore. Dr. Pratt and his staff are amazing. Everyone is friendly, courteous, flexible, and professional. Dr. Pratt's "bedside manner" is particularly outstanding. He took time to ask questions; didn't rush the examination; and explained each procedure before starting it. He also gave me an option to "cut [him] off" if I was "bored or not interested." That didn't happen! When he showed me the images of the inside of my eyes and clearly explained the "why" of things, it was FASCINATING.
