On top of all that there was no charge AND she refused a tip! I cannot imagine getting better service than this and isn't that we are all hoping for when we walk in??? 5 stars, please.

I called in to reorder contacts under my prescription (I do so every 3 months)... the website always says the brand I use is 30% off -$69.99 per box. I have different prescriptions in each eye so I always order the 2 boxes (comes to a little under $140). The NON discounted price is $99.99 per box. I've spoke to a manager before in the past who agreed - that's what the website says, and charged the discounted price. Trying to reorder today - the receptionist stated they cannot go by their website and I must pay full price. She doesn't know why it says that... but their office doesn't do that. I told her I received the discounted price before, and she responded back saying that she could see I've paid the full price for them in the past...she was not up for negotiate at all. Upon us going back and forth on the price, I thanked her anyway and said I would call back if I wanted to place an order. If I can order contacts online through the website for the discounted price, and I've been given that discounted price on previous orders calling in to the store, then why couldn't she give it over the phone..? Although I COULD order online and pay the discounted price, I've decided to switch providers due to the staff. I had an issue with this office in October 2025 which l decided to move past and give them another chance...but ever since Dr. Gilligan left in 2023 - their service has went downhill majorly. The last place I went to, years ago, nearer my home in Westminster, featured an aging German couple who started out lacking any sense of customer service, and degenerated into outright hostility when it came down to working with insurance. So, having no clue where to start ... I walked into an "optician" shop not too far from downtown Frederick - and they only did glasses, but said they'd made plenty of referrals and got back plenty of raves for the eye exam by Dr. John. Sure enough, Dr. John not only gave me the exam, he gave full explanation of everything he was doing, including checks for health issues not directly related to vision (did you know they can spot early indications of diabetes, MS, kidney issues, and more from an eye exam??). Dr. John also answered lots of questions and worked through various scenarios on how I'd actually use the glasses (e.g. computer screen, skiing, whatever), to come up with a good solution. Plus it's no fuss - the exam fee includes all my follow up visits while I'm trying out some contacts. Recommended.

Office manager argued with me claiming the prescription must not be right, which is not the case because I used the same prescription a month earlier at Peepers and those glasses are prefect. Walkersville Eyecare did not stand behind their work and refused a refund for the lenses that don't work. Save your time and money and go elsewhere for glasses, especially for progressive lenses as they struggle with determining focal points.

I love the doctors but the wait to see one is intolerable. An appointment at 930 means you get into…read morean room at 10 or so, then am told the doctor will see you soon, and then you sit there for another 45 plus minutes, waiting. No one checks on you. Finally an hour or so past your actual appointment time, the doctor arrives for a 10 minute visit. This was not a one time occurrence. It happens every time and their excuse is they are short staffed, people called off. Another patient in the waiting room with an appointment at 910 was still waiting there at 950. Wonder when she got out of there! The waiting is the same at the Hagerstown office. Even though the doctors are great, I will be looking for another place for my eye care because Maryland Vision Institute cares more about squeezing in as many people in a day as they can, with no regard to the patient's time.

I have gone to Dr. Agostini for years and I absolutely enjoy her down to earth nature, her…read moreattention to her patients, and willingness to adapt eye care for the patient. When it was Longmeadow Eyecare in the Longmeadow Shopping Center, the office staff was welcoming, engaging, and great at addressing patient needs as soon as you walked into the door. Since it has moved to Conamar Drive and taken the name "Vision 2020" I am hugely disappointed. The staff is unprofessional, uninviting, and acts like the patients are a fruit fly buzzing around their meal. Dr. Agostini is still the same and without her I would have gone to a new practice long ago. It was mentioned loudly at my last visit that they rarely clean vital lenses for pictures of the eye causing images to have artifacts. The order in which patients are taken back and addressed needs work, I was taken after two people merely because I had a contact exam. There is no reason that the staff should be trying on glasses when there is a line of people waiting to be helped. The main front desk employee, whom I have communicated with in person and on the phone, doesn't seem to know what she is doing at all. I had to help her! I don't know what is going on there, but it needs to be fixed or many people will be moving on to new practices!
