Naples, FL WOW!!!! We agreed that this is our favorite dinner of the trip...and we've had some good ones! The decor sets you in a little slice of Greece and is simple yet elegant. First off..Emily and Alex greeted us like family when we got there and made us feel welcome (the Saganaki was amazing, the best we've ever had...thank you!). We began with an appetizer called Dolmades, which we have had before at another Greek restaurant, these were in a totally different ballpark though with a Lemanto sauce that was out of this world delicious, and Dolmades are hand rolled grape leaves filled with a beef and rice mixture and covered with the Lemanto sauce (a tangy egg/lemon sauce)...as amazing as these were I knew we were in for a great night! Emily and Alex then sent out a Saganaki for us to enjoy and get the chance to yell "Opa!" The Saganaki is (and this is straight from the menu cause I actually had no idea) an Imported Kefalograviera Cheese (goat and sheep milk) that is flambeed table side and everyone celebrates by yelling "OPA!" when it gets lit....also, the best we've ever had! Terri ordered the Chicken Souvlakia. For those who ask "What's that?" I'll tell you....It's Chicken marinated in Greek seasonings, skewered and char-broiled and comes with pita and a creamy Greek dressing for dipping, and a side of lemon roasted oregano potatoes. She said everything was amazing and she even tried (and liked) the creamy Greek dressing! If you know Terri, "if its not Thousand Island get it away from me" is the norm...so this shocked me. I ordered the Lamb Shank, which is something I have never had before...I've heard that Lamb can be " gamey" so it's generally something I'll shy away from. But watching the episode of TripleD where they featured this dish I was confident that these folks know what they're doing with a Lamb Shank..and am I ever glad that I did...their preparation for this dish pretty much ensures that the gamieness that you may expect isn't going to be a problem. They slowly braise it with vegetables, red wine, and other fresh herbs...the result is a beef so tender that it literally is fall off the bone! It reminds me of a roast my Grandma used to make but a richer and more depth of flavor beef. It was simply amazing! It's served over a bed of Mykonos style orzo (a Greek style of pasta cooked risotto style with a tomato base that at first glance looks like rice but its a pasta)...then they finish it with lamb gravy and parmesan. And it is fantastic!!!!! Thank you to Emily, Alex and their entire team that really treated us like we'd known them for years...we didn't find out about Mykonos Kuzina until we were headed back home from vacation last year and were totally bummed that we'd missed out on getting to their place. From the day we got home last year I started planning on stopping by their place ... it was the first place on my list of stops we had to make. We've been seeing ads on FB for this restaurant. It was in the place Naples Coastal Kitchen was in. Their menu is extensive, with so many Greek specialties. My husband had the lamb shank with their special orzo rice and I had the chicken lemonato (it was chicken piccata) with oregano potatoes. For my dish I could have chose one of 4 sides. My husband loved his lamb shank. It was so tender he didn't need a knife. My chicken was delicious. The sauce was very tasty. I love a good piccata and this sauce was the best I've had. We ate at the bar and the service was great. All of the servers were very friendly and personable. The only thing I didn't care for was the Greek music but it is a Greek restaurant so it's ok. Guys, The pita needs to be toasted or made differently... comes out every time like it was pulled from a plastic bag of pita purchased from the grocery store... with some salty spices sprinkled on. And the other food is so heavy salted as opposed to flavorful and quality. Why everyone raves about the food- it has serious quality issues- I promise. I hope someone from restaurant reads this and knows that I am telling the truth. You could absolutely change a couple things and be actually top notch. Small family run restaurant, with owners circulating the floor to ensure food is done right and patrons are happy. The atmosphere was intimate, and just a bit noisy without being totally distracting. I've been wanting to try Mykonos for awhile now and am so glad I finally got the opportunity! I absolutely love Greek cuisine and enjoy supporting small business and this is definitely a small, independent business. The owners are onsite making sure everything is right. I'm spoiled with Chicago Greektown restaurants so my standards are high. I enjoyed dinner at the bar with a nice glass of Merlot and tried the octopus which was really good. We have not been here in several years. After the hurricane Ian, we were forced to move. Now we need a place kind of in between Estero and Naples to meet friends for dinner. So I made reservations here. We were not disappointed. This restaurant is now owned by new people for the past three years. The food is still as good as before. This is a family owned business and the food is legit. We had the shrimp appetizer, and it was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked shrimp and quite the entrance to the table with the flaming dish. The first server stopped in the middle of taking our order to help the couple the owners were doting on. The next server was very good. I ordered the spanakopita. The filling was old tasting and the out side dough was not crisp but soggy. We had the village salad that was pretty good. Dinner this evening at Mykonos was a disappointment. My wife thought he meal was pretty good, although the lemon potato was missing lemon (apparently they were out of lemon) and this mean, which most Greek places based on our own experience pair with a small Greek salad, was not included. My lamp gyro was also just okay. The biggest disappointment was the pita bread. The service was largely absent. After the waitress took our order we never saw her again until about 20 minutes after we had finished and my wife had to go in and ask for her. Not a single check in to even see if the food was accurate. She was very nice and the restaurant was clearly busy, but a refill of the water at some point would have been nice. Based on both the food and the service, we won't be back which is something I don't say very often. read more

Since the restaurant was empty except for 2 other two-tops I asked to be seated at a different table. The answer was 'no'; apparently that would've wrecked their entire reservation system. Eye roll. That kind of inflexibility does not endear me to this place. - We ordered cocktails (a gin & tonic and a vodka martini); they were terrible. When we complained to the server, she mentioned that the alcohol was all wine-based. That information was not communicated when we ordered, nor did it appear on the website or the menu. My husband and I were running errands in a different city today from where we live and found this Mediterranean restaurant by accident. We are so glad we did! Our server, Georgia, was absolutely outstanding in every way! My husband and I both had Dolmades appetizers (husband's were filled with meat, mine with seasoned rice); he had the lamb shank special and I had the Shrimp Souvlaki. Everything was absolutely delicious! His red wine included in the special was wonderful, and the beginning pita bread with seasoned olive oil for dipping was also great. Georgia would check on us periodically and gave us the finest service! We love chicken lemon soup so we ordered two portions to take home for the next day. If I could rate this restaurant ten stars, I would! After dinner we were offered a Digestif, a lovely alcoholic drink to end the meal perfectly. The Ladies Room was immaculately clean. We will travel to dine here again because everything from beginning to end was so fabulous! Ever since I tasted my first gyro and homemade tzatziki sauce made by the ladies at St. Michael's in Mont Clare, Pennsylvania, I have LOVED Greek and Eastern Mediterranean food. I've also wanted to eat at this restaurant since learning of its existence and the raves about the experience overall. Last night was my first at Mykonos Kuzina. And it was extraordinary. I was there to celebrate with two friends who were unable to make it at the last minute--but I had no intention of missing this meal. My server Matt (aka Mateo) was charming and knowledgeable--in spite of being relatively new to the restaurant. He got my pita and olive oil and a tall glass of cold water very quickly and came back to see if I needed more time to browse the menu. No gyros or souvlaki for me this trip. I ordered the grilled octopus and a split of Retsina (you really should have Greek wine if you're dining on Greek food, IMHO). It was tender and creamy with just the right amount of char. For my entree, an adventurous selection that I never regretted one minute. THE WHOLE BRANZINO! I can't remember if it was fire-roasted or fried--I just remember it was phenomenal. I deboned it and believe I consumed every gram of meat inside it (including the head). Yes, I could've ended there, or even with a baklava, but I wanted a new experience for me. The Galaktoboureko, a filo pastry filled with custard. They bring a tiny shot glass of a sweet red dessert wine that made a wonderful finale to my night. We started with saganaki, which did not really flambé as the server struggled with the lighter- a small flame at the end was all we got. It was good- one reason the restaurant got a higher 3 stars. Very little char and paled in comparison with others I have had locally- for $25 it needs to be excellent not meh. The tzatiki is terrrible. Bland, no cucumber flavor no spices- it literally was plain yogurt taste it sucked. Worst I have had. The pork souvlaki was tough, dry, flavorless. Also not tasting like its been grilled. Served on a couple of leaves of lettuce- with the side. I selected the potato and it was actially very good. Another reason it earned a higher 3 stars. My mom ate the shimp saganaki- rubbery shrimp in orzo and sauce with cheese. The flavor was ok- shrimp was terrible. We let the server inow about the pork, she offered to replace it but as the meal was over I declined. The chef tasted and the server said he agreed with me, and they gave us a 10% discount- $16 and the entree was $24. I would not return to this restaurant- my mom had not been in 2 years and said it gone downhill...there is a much better Mediterranean restairant on imperial- while its not quite the ambiance, the food, value and service are miles above! read more

Family of three had dinner here. Every food item we ordered was very salty Portion sizes were inadequate. I ordered a $36 Bronzino dish and was told to order any side dish that I wanted. I ordered Greek orzo side dish. They charge me two dollars extra which was not mentioned anywhere. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she said that the orzo always Gets an extra charge, but it wasn't anywhere on the menu and she didn't mention anything about it. We informed the waitress that to tell the manager that all the dishes were very salty. They wouldn't remove the two dollar extra charge and nobody came from the management to talk to us about the issues with the salty food. I give this place a five star plus review. It is the most authentic Greek restaurant I've been to. The Greek salad is so authentic it has no lettuce! My favorite dish is the galaktoboureko is so good . I bought some , ate dinner and looked for it before goin to a meeting. asked my 95 year old mother to check all the boxes in three refrigerators.
