Food is always great. A laid back setting with much to choose from, but make sure you save room for a banana split, so good!

The review of 2 is because the food was good. Maddie was our server. We ordered unsweet tea and we both got sweet tea, but that does happen occasionally. We ordered fried oysters with fries, grilled catfish with salad with ranch dressing, and onion rings. It took 30 minutes to get any food. We got there around 12:20 so we were way after the lunch rush. I didn't get any salad dressing but Maddie came back and asked what kind I wanted. Within 10 minutes she brought us our check, let us know she was leaving and gave us the name of who would take care of us. No offer to get us anything else. Glad we weren't wanting any ice cream or a shake, because apparently we were not going to get offered that either. Maybe it was an off day. The food was good though, I think, because I was so hungry when it came that I pretty much inhaled it. You know how when you go to a fast food restaurant they have trash receptacles on the dining room floor? They have that here too. And unfortunately, we sat down next to one. I live not far from irons and have very rarely gone in for food. On this very occasion I went in and ordered fried Chicken to go. When I got home my fried chicken and started to eat tasted like shrimp. It's clear that they are frying the chicken in the same grease that they are frying shrimp in and the cooking oil has not been changed and needs to be. All in all it was a disappointing experience and have serious doubts whether I'll be back anytime soon.. Myron's this is not rocket science. You can do better!! read more

We met a friend for lunch at Myran's. It's an unpretentious building with a lovely setting on the water. It was a little too chilly out to sit outside when we were there, but if the weather had been a little warmer, dining outdoors would have been nice! The fried shrimp and fish were delicious, and you got a lot of food for not a lot of money. Our server was a hoot, and she was able to offer good suggestions for those of us who weren't sure what we wanted. A little bit of a drive for us, but Myran's was well worth the time it took to get there. Highly recommended! read more

I literally have never had a bad order. I've eaten crawfish, seafood poboys, hamburgers, lunches, malts, and more. Never a complaint.

We made out own little reverse "Tour de Teche" yesterday, making the rainy Sunday afternoon drive up LA31, to try this locally famous bayou-side Cajun eatery. The exterior was certainly unimpressive, but that should never deter anyone from "getting-down" for a bite. Covered customer parking was greatly appreciated in the monsoons. We both had the "fried seafood combo plate" on the rear deck over the Bayou. Constant rain set the melancholic mood, and our un-sweet iced-tea's were no help. Waitress, on discovering that we had been given the "catfish & shrimp combo", announced that she would get some freshly fried oysters for us, but would take some of the catfish back. I doubted that the Parish Health officials would have approved her plan. The fry-cook delivered the oysters, but left everything else on our plates. Merci a Dieu ! We went here on a Friday night. They were hopping busy with phone orders, so it took us a minute to get situated and seated. They were polite and friendly, just really busy. Once seated, they took our order fairly quickly. I ordered a cheeseburger and my husband ordered the hamburger steak. I must say that the cheeseburger was way better than I expected. I'd absolutely get it again. Portions were good and the fries tasted great. My husband enjoyed his hamburger steak, though it was a bit salty for his taste. I looked at the wine and beer prices, and was astonished at how reasonably priced they are, even for a bottle of wine. In a restaurant, they don't mark it up much, so if you're looking for adult beverages with your dinner while in the area this is the place to go! We will definitely be back to try their seafood when we are in the area again. Give them a try! read more

The food was good, the boiled crawfish was sadly not seasoned during the boiling process. It was sprinkled with something like old bay after they were taken out. It's the kind of 'Cajun food' I found in Florida(having lived there for 9 years). Not expected in deep Louisiana Cajun country. The other food we had was good though. The large sign out front stated they had daiquiris. I asked for one but they looked at me like I was out of my mind. No such drink there. I then asked for a glass of Cabernet(simple, right?). They didn't have that either. I drank water. Our waitress(a dark haired woman the day before Mother's Day) was terrible. Never smiled, was not attentive. I had to get up and go find her after 30min to get my friend a coke. Our entire table wondered where she was the entire time. Her service was not worthy of the auto-added gratuity and everyone else said the same. We were the second guests of the evening. On the other hand, a lady with a hot pink t-shirt(manager maybe?) was very attentive, helpful and very nice. I probably won't frequent this restaurant unless by someone else's request. read more

I always order from here when I'm home. It's so close not to. I absolutely love the boiled shrimp it's always good. I do sometimes order either a shrimp or oyster po-boy and they are usually good. I do think that sometimes they skimp on the shrimp and oysters which is disappointing. The fries are well seasoned and the milkshakes are so tasty. Second visit and both times, the food was outstanding. Today I had boiled Shrimp, potato's, corn on the cob. The sauce for the shrimp was out of this world. My friends had a seafood combo with fries and a Po Boy. My friends loved the food, hoewever they both said, the next visit will be the bolied shrimp and in season , starting in November the Crawfish. A little our of our way. It has a lot of room for improvement. But it offers short order food and I believe seafood. Staff was very friendly once we sat down, wish the counter staff was as friendly. As a first time visiting we did not know if we ordered then sat down or sat down our selfs and then ordered we have now been there twice in 4 years so it's not memorable and apparently the food wasn't anything more than mediocre or we would have returned. read more

I don't know where to start! The hamburger is probably the best I have ever had. The onion rings are awesome. The staff all seem to know everyone. Great atmosphere. I stayed at an AirBnB across the street from this place. They really should mention that this wonderful restaurant is directly across the front door of the place. Small, country town restaurant that is the hub of activity on a Friday or Saturday night. They have a selection of beers and wines (LA-31, of course) and a stunning variety of fried foods, seafoods and the like. Crawfish are available in 4 pound orders when in season. Super friendly waitstaff; you can get your orders to go or dine in if you like. Ended up getting one of the best catfish poboys I've ever had. If you're in Arnouldville you owe it to yourself to stop by; this is one of those places where literally everything looks and smells amazing. read more

My aunt and I stopped in on a bicycle ride from Acadian Park to Arnaudville. The 1st thing I noticed was the "Bicycle Friendly" sticker on the front door. We were then greeted by Myran himself who was cooking in the kitchen and knows my Aunt from when she worked there 20 years prior. I thought that was awesome. How many restaurant owners actually still do the cooking in their ewstablishments? None that I know. Much props for that. I ordered a shrimp poboy and my aunt ordered the egg sandwich. We split and order of double battered onion rings. The shrimp poboy was good, but not "Bon Creole" good. But nothing else can really compare to a bon creole poboy, so no knocks there. The onion rings were mouth watering. Larger, with the perfect amount of batter and crispiness. Judging by how quickly the egg sandwich disappeared I'd guess that it was delicious as well. The ambience of Myran's is typical of most small town cajun establishments - a bunch of tables in a big room with a TV somewhere playing football. However, Myran's is situated right on the Bayou Teche. I think it would be great if some bayou side outdoor seating were added to give diners who don't care about who's playing who on NFL Sunday some solace. We went to Myran's on a business trip I had in Arnaudville. The restaurant has kind of a hole in the wall feel. The prices are pretty fair for the portion sizes you get. I really enjoyed my crab and corn chowder which came piping hot. My entrée was the fried oysters. Maybe I haven't had many fried oysters but, they were just ok. The batter was good but that's all I could really taste. They did come with a HUGE baked potato which was pretty tasty although probably bad for me with the 6 scoops of butter on top. My co-workers seemed to love their fried chicken and po-boys. Bathrooms were clean and food came out relatively fast. read more

This place was a surprising find! In a rural town in South Louisiana, this restaurant is unassuming from its outside appearance. But inside, it is filled with friendly staff and amazing food! Po-boys! Plate dinners! They even have a small menu available for breakfast. I highly recommend almost any of the oyster or shrimp items! They even sell their own mix for frying seafood. Also, alcohol is available for those nights of living it up. A very nice southern restaurant on the Teche and an abundance of Cajun hospitality and charm. If you are traveling around this area, I highly recommend a stop by Myran's. You won't regret it! read more
