Love locally owned restaurants with some history. Enjoyed this place about 20 years ago, when I lived in Oak Forest. Either my taste has changed or this place has taken a wrong turn. Classic style burger, frozen fries, various fried baskets. Wife and I had cheeseburger baskets. We were the only customers at the time. We have been to Mytiburger many times over the past 5 or 6 years. Love their burgers and sweet potato fries. The vanilla and chocolate malts are awesome! Service has always been good and over the years, we have developed a nice rapport with some of the long time employees. I have been eating at Mytiburger since I moved to Oak Forest over 4 years ago. My go to meal is the Mytiburger with cheese with a side of chili cheese tatter totts! Not once have I been disappointed. A complaint that many people have is that it can take a while to get your food. They make everything to order and that takes time. I like my food hot and fresh so I always call it in, wait 10 minutes hop in the car and I always get hot fresh food without the wait. It's a great neighborhood burger joint. I was looking for a quick meal so I searched Yelp for drive thrus around my location. Mytiburger was just a short ten minute drive so we went there. We pulled up to the drive thru and the guy taking our order was patient and friendly. We finished our order and he said to pull around to the window. We sat there from 6:38 until someone FINALLY came to the window to take my money at 7:05. I wish someone would've at least poked their head out the drive thru window to let us know our food was going to take awhile. Anyway the guy apologized for the wait and gave us the order. The food was ok. If I could describe it in one word, "nostalgic". Not bad at all. But not amazing either. Stuffed cream cheese jalapeños were flavorful and crispy. Fries were crispy. Fish burger was pretty good. Bacon burger was good. So nothing was lacking in flavor but I would say I still would prefer Whataburger. For everything we got it was about $16. I've been a regular customer for over 40 years. The flavor and ambiance is virtually unchanged. The Coke memorabilia adds a lot to the total experience. My personal favorite is the buffalo burger, small tots, a drink, and a fired pie. Kathy is there with a smile and a warm welcome. This kind of 50's burger stand will soon be gone forever. My parents used to come here when they were younger and have always raved about how yummy the burgers were and I FINALLY decided to trust them and give it a try myself. I love their food! I came in at around 4:30 pm on a Monday. There were several patrons already there eating, but no line. I was quickly greeted by a nice lady behind the counter. I looked over the menu, and I decided on a bacon cheeseburger. I asked her about the onion rings, and she informed me that they are made in house each morning. So, I went with those. Another lady made my drink while I waited for the food (unsweetened tea). The meal was ready quickly. The burger was served like any classic hamburger would be. The patty is kind of thin, but with the bacon, cheese, and toppings, it was plenty big for me. The onion rings were great -- I love fresh made onion rings. Each table has jalapeno ketchup, along with regular ketchup and hot sauce. The jalapeno ketchup was a nice touch. They have free refills, so I got some more of their delicious tea before I finished my meal. A group behind me ordered milkshakes with their meal -- I'll have to give that at try next time... And there will be a next time because I definitely plan to return. read more

Their drive thru speaker cannot be heard by the workers. Their workers are very unprofessional. I went in and asked why have a drive thru if you can't hear me. The older white lady answered I wish we didn't and huffed off. Then the 2 latino girls started singing, don't worry be happy. Yes funny. There was another car in front of me that did manage to be heard and drove through. After 8 mins he came in and the singing duo are like oh Dr I was just bringing your drink. He said he felt like he was being ignored. Then one of the duo started spraying chemicals on the shake mixer. Really, glad this my last visit. She didn't even reclean with clean water. I just kept thinking idiot you put a little soapy water in a cup and whirr. Repeat with a cup of clean water and wipe clean. After I get home and start eating the food was way overcooked and just bad. We are eating $22 dollar peanut butter sandwiches since the dinners went in the garbage . Mytiburger is nothing less than beautiful. Every week i go there with my best friend as we have for years. Its a very nostalgic restaurant to visit with coca cola memorabilia lining the walls. It is an extremely simplistic burger but it is made with hope that whoever takes a bite into it will love it for sure, due to the fact that the managers care about what the costumer wants having known them personally.
