We ordered the following: 1) Mango Green Tea w/ Mango Popping Boba (4.8/5) 2) Sunrise Tea w/ White Crystal Boba (4.5/5) 3) Lychee Milk Tea w/ Lychee Jelly (4.8/5) Nice decor. Forgot to take pics of our drinks (terrible memory!). Oh well...maybe next time. Parking is easy even though it is in a semi-busy plaza. Recommended. The young woman who was in the store all by herself needs training in customer service. Desperately! I asked her what the ingredients were in the non dairy milk. She looked at me and said, I don't know. And she just sat, like I was bothering her. I said, you don't know? Is there a way to check? She asked if I wanted to know the ingredients. I said yes. She finally got up, went into the back and took a picture of the ingredients. Ingredients were acceptable. I ordered 30% ice. My daughter ordered 100% ice. Same flavor. At the end of our drinks, I had more ice than my daughter. How does that work? I picked up the drinks and said, just showing you. I have more ice left over than my daughter. Her response? Well, it keeps the drinks colder, longer. I drink fast. I just wanted a little ice. (Here it is, 4 hours later and I still have ice! ) I was given the option of how much ice I wanted. I gave my choice and it was ignored. Then, I was met with rudeness. I am sure she has potential. She just needs to learn to listen to customers and not be rude. Enjoyed our visit at BoBaPOP Tea Bar. The girls at the counter provided such sweet customer service. We ordered from the kiosk and the girls at the counter informed us of their top 5 famous coffee and milk tea specialty drinks. BoBaPOP Tea Bar has such a welcoming ambiance. It's so pretty and artistic inside. There's plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your speciality coffee and milk tea drinks. Today's visit we ordered Saigon Cafe Latte-Vanilla Bean Iced and the Vietnamese Egg Coffee. Both drinks were so good. You can taste the coffee and espresso as the vanilla bean balanced out the taste of the espresso. Vietnamese Egg Coffee was unique and equally delicious as the Saigon Cafe Latte-Vanilla Bean Iced. I found my go-to neighborhood tea house and it's BoBaPOP Tea Bar! I've been eyeing this tea house for a while now and finally dragged my fiancé with me on a weekend to visit. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of options they offered from traditional teas to fun slushes and lattes. I want to try it all after just the two drinks we had! I ordered a Osmanthus Oolong Tea for myself and a Mango Slush for my fiancé. We both usually love traditional teas but it was a hot day and he wanted to try something new. My Osmanthus Oolong Tea was had a delicately floral and a fresh steeped tea taste, done by true tea makers, that make the tea oh so smooth and concentrated. Needless to say, I think they know what they are doing here with their tea. I added Aloe Vera as a topping in mine and it had just the right texture to it as well. Superb tea! I'll definitely be ordering this again. The Mango Slush was great as well, just gave us brain freeze a lot since we don't get this often and forgot how to enjoy slushes. They have two kiosk ordering systems to the left side upon entry. It showed all the pictures of the tea selections, which I appreciated and awed at! It was very easy to order and you can also sign up to earn points. After the order is submitted, your name will pop up on the TV above with a estimated time it'll be completed - great system and service! There are many tables and it also looked like a great place to wind down and study with all the bright colors surrounding you. Who won't have a great time here sipping on tea and studying? My boyfriend and I were running errands in the area and decided to be spontaneous and detour for a boba break. BoBaPOP Tea Bar was on our way back so it was convenient. As we pulled but there was a Michoacana in the same plaza... I low key regret not going there instead. I actually had positive experiences going to BoBaPOP at other locations so I came here thinking we would enjoy our purchase. They have a lot of seating and 2 kiosk for you to order. We only saw one staff who was behind making drinks and if someone needed to pay in cash. My boyfriend had a BoBaPOP Milk Tea with Boba ($6.50) less sweet and I had a Jasmine Green Milk Tea with Egg Pudding ($6.50) less sweet. THE DRINKS TOOK FOREVER. And worst of all both drinks were on the bland side. The flavor of the tea was very faint. Not sure if they rush brewed a batch of tea because they were behind and just threw things together. This is a cute little boba shop with paper lanterns and other decorations. It was nice and quiet with chill mood music. They have a screen with what looks like popular items but the full menu itself is on the self order kiosks. There were 2 self order kiosks but an employee was at the counter. She was nice and pleasantly answered our questions. I ordered the Vietnamese egg coffee (iced). At first it was really sweet but once I stirred and mixed it, it was much better. I ordered the BoBaPOP Milk Tea ($5.75 / Large) with Cheese Foam (additional $1.25). If I wanted boba pearls, I'd need to pay an additional $1, so I refrained. The immediate flavor of the Milk Tea is watery milk. The milk is fresh, but it tastes watered down. The Cheese Foam (additional $1.25) tastes salty and processed. It's reminiscent of cheese in a spray can. Thankfully, the drink is refreshing. It's not flavorful; rather, it's hydrating like a watery sports drink. However, the gorgeous ambiance and staff's excellent customer service are the sole reason this score is not a three star or below. I arrived on a Monday (around 12:40PM). Staff immediately greeted me with a smile. "Welcome!" As I glance around, I am taken aback by BoBaPOP Tea Bar (Azusa's) lovingly maintained decor and appearance. Not only is the location clean, its colors and decorations are attractive and welcoming. Customers are expected to use the self-service kiosk. However, I disliked how there wasn't a paper receipt option. And I disliked being asked to place my phone number into the machine. The BoBaPOP Milk Tea ($5.75 / Large) with Cheese Foam (additional $1.25) took one minute and 56 seconds to complete. Extremely fast!! BoBaPOP Tea Bar (Azusa) is very clean and well-ventilated. It includes a board game corner and customer (no public) restroom. Also, its furniture are shiny and well-maintained. I also enjoyed the upbeat, calming music. Overall, I had an okay experience at BoBaPOP Tea Bar (Azusa). The drink is not awful. It's refreshing but unmemorable and frugal-tasting. Pandan Matcha Latte 12 oz I ordered the pandan matcha and initially didn't realize it only came in a 12-ounce size. When I asked if I could get it as a large, I was told it only came in the 12 oz, so I decided not to get it. Then the barista offered another option adding pandan cold foam on top instead. I very clearly asked (twice) if that version would be a large, and she said yes. Since that worked for me, I agreed to the second option. I stepped out briefly to use the restroom, but theirs was closed, so I had to walk over to Stater Bros. When I came back, to my surprise, the drink was still a small. I was disappointed because I had specifically confirmed that the customized option would be a large. At that point, I felt rushed like they were more eager to close and go home than to fix the mistake so I didn't feel I had much of a choice but to take it. I paid $10 for a small drink, which felt unreasonable, especially considering the miscommunication. To make matters worse, the drink didn't really taste like pandan at all. Overall, the customer service felt very off at this location. I'd rather go to the San Gabriel location, where I've had a much better experience. read more

When am I not drinking boba lol? I was in the area Yelping and found this spot nearby. Parking: They're located in a big plaza with plenty of parking spots. Ambiance/Environment: Such cute decor! I love the umbrellas, bright colors, and bicycle prop. They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. It was pretty consistent when I visited. Service: You can mobile order, order at one of the kiosks, or place an order at the counter. The male worker that assisted me was knowledgable about the menu and gave me good recommendations. Throughput was under 5 min from ordering. Drinks: 1) Matcha Latte - The matcha color looked nice. The matcha itself tasted delicious. I was told their 100% sweetness isn't actually too sweet. This is true. The matcha and sugar had an equal balance. 2) Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea w/ boba - The boba tasted as expected; not too chewy. The brown rice flavor was light. 3) Cold Brew Coffee w/ sea salt foam & boba - This contained condensed milk, and it was surprisingly not too sweet. You can still taste the coffee flavor. Perfect to have refreshing drink in a hot weather. Went here on weekend and good thing it wasn't that busy. Ordered their popular drink Bobapop milk tea, I think it was okay. I like it it's not that sweet but it doesn't have the milk tea taste. Their match drink is really good. It's just sad they don't have boba it's sold out so I got the crystal boba. I'm a big fan of the SGV location, so after finding one that's slightly closer to me, in an area that's not really known for their boba, I had to stop by for a late night snack/drink. They have a couple self order kiosk in the store that link up to the SnackPass app for points, the same decor that they have at their SGV location and ample seating. Perfect for the local students for study sessions or those who need to work on something in public. There's also board games in the back and I think there's happy hour or some kind of deal for students during the week. I got their kiwi milk tea which is a bizarre drink, but the second I saw it, I knew I had to try it. I got this with less ice and less sweet. I tried to order their "magic popcorn" but unfortunately, their microwave was broken that night. You have to mix the kiwi milk tea or else it'll separate, but that's understandable. It is a strange flavor. Strong slightly sour kiwi taste with some seeds mixed in (made from real fruit I suppose) and ends on tasting like a standard milk tea. I don't recommend it, but I at least know what a kiwi milk tea is like. My friend got their go to drink at the other location with the same ice and sweetness preferences. This was the Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea. Definitely more milky and sweeter even with the adjustments. Barely any roasted genmaicha/brown rice flavor to it, which was a tad disappointing. Service was kind and polite, but there's just something missing from this location that the SGV one had (at least with the drinks that we ordered). read more

It delivered a refreshing blend of roasty, fruity, and citrusy notes, and came with crystal boba that complemented the drink. As for me, I tried the Brown Sugar Latte (medium, on the left). It was rich, creamy, and satisfyingly sweet. It didn't automatically come with boba, so I added the classic pearl boba at an extra cost. We ordered through a self service iPad, but there was also the option of ordering from the counter! Only tried the fruit tea here with less sugar and less ice. Didn't get to try the boba or the jelly. Although, I did like my drink... it had a good tea flavor and the fruit syrup wasn't as good. I have been to this place three times now and both of my friends and husband (very critical of boba spots) liked this place. The mad at the counter (possibly because the owner) is always friendly, answers my questions and provides recommendations. The decor is this place is very cute and welcoming. My friend has the Winter Melon with passion fruit popping boba and another had the Japanese brown rice milk foam tea and they both loved their drinks. I had the Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea with pudding milk. I ordered my drink unsweetened and it was perfectly creamy. Another Bobapop in Socal means more of me trying out their menu. I didn't know that had coffee and I actually loved it so much. The cold brew creme with milk foam was written on the board as one of the staff's favorites so I tried it out for myself the next morning since I didn't want to drink caffeine at night, and it was still so good. We also got a lot of other drinks since they have so many categories to choose from and it's hard to resist the temptation. Such a cute little boba spot in Azusa! We stopped by during the heat wave and there was no AC which was unfortunate. There was a fan going but it wouldn't cool the entire area. Management did reach out and let me know their AC went out during the heat wave, so it wasn't a choice not to have it on. Now they get four stars because their drinks were so good, I like that you can adjust your sweetness and ice levels. My favorite drink was the cold brew cream with added milk foam. The balance between sweet and salty was spot on. Their boba was nice and chewy. They have many drink options but not many coffee ones. I was looking for some boba and ive always loved BobaPop. I discovered this location off of maps and I was SHOCKED to find out they do hello kitty designs on their milk foam!!! Oh my gosh! I've been coming here for a while but this time around, the drinks fell off. I ordered my usual, a Jasmine Green Milk Tea, Ice 50%, SUGAR 100%, Boba. The drink did not taste sweet like how it usually does, it just tastes like ice water + boba. Bobapop is one of my favorite boba shops and I had no idea they had a location in Azusa so I had to go visit! This shop is way bigger than the San Gabriel location and has plenty of seating for hanging out with friends or working. They even have some board games available! It's located in a plaza with a Stater Bros, Marie Callendars, and more so parking isn't scarce and pretty easy to get. As I said earlier, this location is super spacious and very clean. It's also got cute decor so you can get the perfect content pics! The lantern backdrop is soo pretty! There are two kiosks you can order your drinks at or you can go to the register to be helped. My go to drinks are the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea, the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea, and in the summer, the White Peach Roasted Oolong Tea. All soooo excellent and you can really taste the tea which I feel like isn't always the case at boba places. What stood out to me most was that they offered a boba & cream croissant which I hadn't seen before. To my surprise, it was actually so good and not as sweet as I thought! The croissant was perfectly toasted and soft and it paired really well with the cream. Totally recommend! Given the space and convenience of parking, the Azusa location may be my new go to bobapop shop! read more
