I like what this location has become. I've been a few times with my kids so far and recommend checking it out. There Portuguese egg tarts are quite good and we're priced under a dollar at one point but maybe that was just a grand opening special. Now they are just over a dollar each. They also recently added a savory snack menu. I tried the taiwanese popcorn chicken and thought it was quite good. My daughter really enjoyed the fruit filled bear desserts and my son always chooses a cookie. Overall the ambience is quite nice both inside and on the patio. No complaints about the service either.

Picture Patisserie Too with a broader menu! This cafe is adorable and there are now tables that you can sit and work at. The vibes are very pleasant in here and the staff is super friendly! The strawberry matcha is nice and creamy and comes with a strawberry puree and cream top for $7. The popcorn chicken is okay, I don't recall them asking the spice level and I wish it was spicy. I also forgot to ask whether they had sweet and sour sauce or not, but they did include ketchup. I'm definitely returning to try their yummy looking sago desserts!

During my first visit I ordered an iced Spanish latte. I really appreciate the outdoor space. My puppy was able to play and walk around the patio area. I came back another day and ordered two iced Vietnamese coffee to go. I like the flavor. Not too bitter or too sweet. It's perfect. I have yet to try their baked goods. I'll be sure to try it next time! Parking lot available or street parking.

4 stars Mūmoo is the new business that took over this location since Patisserie Too moved. The interior and patio seating is very much the same with some added furniture. They still sell the $1 egg tarts here, which makes me wonder if it's still Patisserie, but a different branch of the business. I regret not asking more questions, but they were pretty busy when I was there. Anyways, I ordered the einspanner matcha ($6.50). I thought it tasted fine. I don't think it really stands out when there are so many matcha places around the area. However, I will say that this little shop is super dog-friendly, so that is always a positive in my book. I will definitely be back to try their coffees!

Mūmoo is a new drink and pastries spot located across from Blossom Market Hall. They opend it three weeks ago and still in soft opening. They have cute panda and bear pastries with different flavors, cookies, crepe cake, swiss rolls, milk pudding, summer special sago, and egg tarts. For drinks menu, they have signature drinks, fruit series, coffee and tea series. The shop has a very nice outdoor seating. The staff were very nice. Jason told me that they will add new items for breakfast. The grand opening is not determined. I ordered many pastries and drinks. - Mango sago 4/5 It was nice but missing some taste. - sleeping panda 5/5 The panda looked so pretty. It was silky and the passion fruits complemented the taste. - grizzly bear 5/5 The mousse was rich, decadent, creamy and silky. It looked so cute. - Earl Grey Swiss roll 5/5 It was fluffy and rich in flavor. - cocoa matcha Swiss roll 5/5 It was fluffy chocolate swiss roll with matcha fillin. - vanilla mille crepe cake 3/5 The layers was easy to split. The taste was close to mochi than crepe. It was okay but not the perfect texture of crepe cake - Portuguese Egg tart 5/5 It was fresh, hot with rich and silky custard. It was only for one dollar. -strawberry Matcha 4.5 /5 The matcha was strong topped with strawberry creamy foam. I enjoyed the outdoor seating with the nice decor as well as everything I ordered. Definitely, I will come back and try their new pastries and additional menu items.

Checked out Mūmoo Cafe in San Gabriel, taking over the old Patisserie Too location. The space feels modern and cozy, and their menu has a huge selection of drinks and desserts at very reasonable prices. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and really enjoyed it. It was bold, sweet, and had a strong coffee flavor without tasting watered down. For desserts, the cakes reminded me of a mix between Patisserie Too and Grace and Wheat, which makes sense since they're all around the same area. The flavors were solid across the board and not overly heavy. The highlight for me was actually the mango sago dessert. It wasn't too sweet and reminded me of the mango pudding with evaporated milk you get at dim sum restaurants. Super refreshing and a nice balance after the coffee. Definitely a nice cafe spot if you're in the SGV area and want drinks plus desserts without spending too much.

I got their Lychee Sparkling Soda and my bf got their Hazelnut Latte. We also got their $1 egg tarts which was the perfect amount of sweetness and flakiness of the crust. They have a lot of other pastries as well as cute bears and crepe cake slices. Located right across the street for SG Mission Playhouse and Blossom Market Hall but they have a parking lot right behind their store too. Very spacious and has plenty of tables with plug outlets for a great study spot too. The service was amazing and very accommodating to ensure we enjoyed our drinks!

Cute little cafe shop in San Gabriel! It's a nice spot to wfh from as it has a nice sun covering on the outside, and nice outdoor space for kids to roam around too. We ordered the matcha latte and Spanish latte, and while both weren't bad, I feel there could use bit more work on the taste profile. They had more of a milky flavor so the matcha and flavor of the espresso sort of got lost. We didn't have a chance to try their desserts but they looked tasty.

Mūmoo Cafe is a new dessert cafe that took over Patisserie Too and they offer $1 Portuguese egg tarts, a variety of cakes and pastries, and coffee and matcha drinks. I especially love how study-friendly the environment is with plenty of outdoor seating, and several tables indoors. Workers were really friendly and helped with giving recommendations. My friend and I tried their strawberry matcha and Spanish latte along with their egg tarts. The strawberry matcha was solid with a good balance of matcha flavor and strawberry bits. I wasn't a big fan of the Spanish latte since the espresso was on the more acidic side. The egg tarts were freshly baked and so delicious! I loved the flakiness of the crust and the decadent custard filling. I also got to try their coco matcha and chocolate swiss rolls, and I loved the coco matcha roll for the matcha cream.

Came here on a whim! Food: The prices are amazing! $1 for egg tarts is unbeatable in LA! It tasted so flaky and great too! It wasn't too sweet. I wish I tried more of their desserts! Drinks: Ordered the vanilla latte. It was only $5. The drink itself is pretty standard and gets the job done! I wanted to order the tea too but they ran out that day. Service: Workers are nice! Parking: FREE PARKING ON STREET! I love that. Overall: There is so much seating, mostly outdoors. It feels nice with the breeze blowing softly around. There's also outdoor charging ports! Love that. Everything about this place is a gem. I would definitely come back! :)

Wonderful experience at Mūmoo Cafe! There was plenty of seating, so it felt comfortable and relaxing even during summer time. The Cloudy Puff Cake was delicious, the cheese filling paired perfectly with the light, fluffy cake, and it wasn't overly sweet. I also highly recommend the Einspänner Matcha; the creamy topping and rich matcha flavor were so well balanced. Everything tasted fresh, friendly staff, and the cozy atmosphere made it a great spot to catch up with friends. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu! Come try it out!

    Cecilia L.

I had the spanish latte with oatmilk and cream top and it was really good. It was a good balance of sweet and strong. The fries were okay, the cheese had a grainy taste and the fries were really salty. The ladies were nice but they did seem a bit unorganized when getting orders out to people. The location is really nice, limited seating inside but a lot of seating outside.

Cute yellow bus-shaped decor prop in the patio area.

Came here with some friends to get some work done at the cafe. There was street parking right out front, which made it convenient. They offer a good variety of items on the menu. I ended up getting the egg tart, and it tasted just as good as many other places I've been to. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other items. The cafe also has free Wi-Fi and outlets to charge your devices. The outlet I noticed was on the wall facing toward the front, so that's helpful if you're planning to bring a laptop or get some work done. It does get a bit loud inside, so if you need a quieter spot, I would recommend sitting outside on the patio. The cafe also has cute decor all around, which gives it a nice atmosphere.

While I was there lots of people came in. I used to bring my son years ago. My selection today was a small matcha with strawberries on top. I had the choice of two items in addition to condensed milk which I love. Next time I'll pay extra for more condensed milk. It was absolutely delicious. Signature Taro Balls and Grass Jelly: the staff recommended me this after knowing I was looking for something warm, but turns out they ONLY serve this COLD. Luckily the red bean, glutinous rice balls and sago, were warm, so it saved this dessert a bit. I asked for no peanuts. It came with another type of clear jelly, it was very sweet. I didn't really enjoy it. The glutinous rice balls look like they are store bought very uniform. The price itself is nice, but the portion/bowl is kind of small. But if you ordered something with glutinous rice or some sorts of carbs in there, you will still feel full. Service was just alright. When I caught the mistake that my dessert is served as cold on the receipt, I immediately went up but was told that they have started making my order already (only about a minute since I made my order). The place itself is very cute, got great decorations. We went on a Saturday night and they were super busy, but they make their orders SUPER fast. It would be EXTREMELY helpful if they can list out the ingredients so people know what they are eating, and which ones can be served as hot to avoid confusion. Overall, I think it is not a must visit place, but if you are in the area looking for Chinese dessert then it's one of the few places to try.

WOW! Each bite felt like a warm, decadent cloud. (Important Note: These Pancakes have a LONG wait. Each Jiggly Pancake had an expected 20 to 30 minute preparation time. Also, I recommend eating it dine-in. If you wait too long, these fluffy treats promptly get mushy.) I arrived at Motto Tea Cafe (San Gabriel) on Wednesday (11AM - Opening Time). Parking is easy. There's an underground lot for extra parking. Customers primarily order at the self-service kiosk. Customers must pay with card and insert phone number in the kiosk, but Customers can pay cash at the counter. Dine in customers grab a metal number that's stacked between the kiosks. Staff spoke limited English, but Staff is professional, diligent, and accommodating. My order took 24 minutes. As mentioned, I love the Creme Brûlée Soufflé Pancake ($17.50). It's plated and presented lovingly and seductively. It's memorable. With each motion, I bit hard onto its fluffy, lightly sweetened body. I savored how the creme brûlée's creamy sauce dribbled. It's layered, supple, and thick. I shake the plate. It dances. On ambiance, Motto Tea Cafe (San Gabriel) is comfortable. There's about seven interior tables and two counters. The music is slow-tempo and gentle. And it's clean. There's also a gender neutral restroom for customers. Overall, I created lovely memories at Motto Tea Cafe (San Gabriel). The wait is extremely long, but I found contentment at this journey's end. If you love wiggly pancakes & have plenty of time to spare, this is an easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5

Souffle pancakes in different occasions always look so pretty, are the best everyone's ever had, some some flavor profiles don't work. Maybe that's why the menu sometimes changes. For example the yuzu grape was completely bland because the yuzu drizzle on top was a thin line i couldn't taste at all. At least put a spread between each layer or pour a lot on top like the others (eg berry or mango). The mint leaves was the most potent flavor in this dish. Over the grapes, blueberries, matcha powder, yuzu. Got the mango triple layer drink this time and if you drink it carefully, you can appreciate the contrast from the mango puree, the milk, the creamy salted matcha. If you just mix it up completely you won't get that affect. One thing that bothers me is because the menu changes I seem to always be unable to get something I'm thinking of from the previous visit. I recall last time I had some mochi and rice ball I added to a drink that was so damn good and I couldn't add it this time. Though I recall that drink being $11.50 from the add ons. The souffle pancake was $21... so place is $$ but again the quality is there. Service wise, never interacted with staff really. Kiosk to order. Drinks just sit at counter when done. Didn't call numbers. Oh they did bring the pancake, no words spoken.
