This place is pretty cute came here because I saw on Instagram mochi wrapped around mango. I came in the afternoon and unfortunately they ran out. I got the Hoji Cha tea with strawberry cream. That was pretty good. My date got the coffee and thought it was OK, but nothing special. I would come here again if the mango mochi became part of their regular menu. Cookies were pretty good. I got the chocolate chip walnut and it was nice because it came out of the oven. As for the ambience, it was cute and simple. The people were nice and good amount if seats for people to sit. 5/17/26 Thanks to fellow Yelp Friends (kudos to Sam, Ian & Christy), this cafe intrigued me. The shop is modern with cute & clean designs, pastel colors, friendly, amiable & serious baristas (hey, the espresso machine is La Marzocco, I'm impressed), they sure make great beverages! Of course, I went on a Sunday at about 2 pm, the pastry boards barely had any crumbs left. I was so looking forward to trying the mochi scone that Christy recommended. This gives me an excuse to return another day to try other items and that mochi scone. I'm feeling generous, so I give a 5 star off the bat--and I haven't even tried their pastries that my Yelp friends are going nuts for. There's a parking garage, which I think is free (Hubby just dropped me off). Did not visit their facilities. The patrons ranged from students to older adults, sitting &/or just picking up beverages. First time visiting Re Bakesic to get some work done with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff greeted me as soon as stepped up to the counter. Good drink options, but no decaf for those of who are caffeine-sensitive. Lots of yummy and freshly baked pastries. The space is clean, warm, and welcoming. Wow. Just freaking wow. This place is amazing as heck. I have yet to try the rest of their drinks but their mango matcha is so so good. I like getting their iced matcha latte but today I opted to try the iced early grey matcha latte (with oat milk.) Very clearly a nice earl grey flavor and not too sweet. Lots of places I have to ask half sweet for their matcha but not here! They typically use agave as their sweetener in their iced matcha latte but they have simple syrup if that's more your vibe like it is mine :) I always love coming here and trying their delicious pastries and food made in-house. There's a decent amount of seating if you want to have a conversation too, plus a restroom. Such a lovely little coffee shop! Stopped by on a Tuesday to get some work done and I was greeted by friendly staff who offered some great recommendations. I ended up getting the kinako matcha, which is a matcha latte topped with a roasted soybean powder cream - I absolutely loved it and would recommend this drink if you're looking for something a little bit different/Asian inspired. I forgot to adjust the sweetness but the drink came out not too sweet which was perfect! Their cookies also looked delicious too - they have some unique flavors like gochujang and corn cookies. There's hidden strength with this coffee, and it's delightful. My biggest nitpick will be the coffee's small 12oz size; regardless, it's prepared very well. Regarding ambiance, Re Bakesic (Alhambra) is a welcoming, clean, and cute location. The pastel colors felt comfy and calming. This location also has three electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details are on the counter. And there's a customer gender neutral restroom. I also appreciated the self-service water station. Cute spot that feels a little hidden from all the craziness. There is a parking structure or the parking lot across the street that you can walk over. Came here around 2pm and there were no more pastries. So come early if you want to grab some! I got their Kinako Matcha. Their pastries look amazing, and unfortunately I did not try any on my last visit, but I will definitely give them a try next time. I was a little disappointed that the Gone Nuts drink was taken off the menu. It looked so unique and was the one I wanted to try the most. I also had my eye on the Honey Osmanthus latte, which ended up being really good and would have been my second choice anyway. I believe it is a seasonal item, but I honestly think they should add it to the permanent menu. The osmanthus flavor is very light and subtle, and the honey adds sweetness in a natural way without that heavy syrup taste. Everything tasted smooth and well balanced. There are plenty of tables, but it does get busy on the weekends, which is when I went. Parking is convenient with a structure behind the cafe and additional spaces across the street in the large lot near Sprouts and other restaurants. It's one of those places you walk into thinking I'll have have a drink and something to nibble on, but somehow leave with a box of desserts you didn't plan on buying. I'm usually not big on coconut drinks but I was definitely tempted with the cute heymugi collab cup. Surprisingly, the coconut water didn't have a strong coconut taste. I was looking for a quick pick me up coffee before work. I took a look at the online menu and photos and ultimately decided this was the spot! I went around 8:40 AM and was able to order right away. Once I looked at the pastries/menu, I realized none of the items I wanted to try were available like the gone nuts drink, hojicha cookie, matcha red bean scone, and banana bread. I did end up getting the "On Cloud Nine" drink. It was good and not too sweet. I also left with a few pastries to share with colleagues. Such a cute, clean and bright place! Really just the friendliest and most welcoming staff working here, and so gratefully indoor dog friendly! Met up with a friend visiting from out of state with her cutest dog, Teddy, here to catch up, and had such a great time. Admittedly, we were both a tad bummed that they only had corn cookies left for the day, but that corn cookie was delicious! Crunchy, buttery and not too sweet. The super nice staff did let us know that the yummy baked goods tend to sell out by 1 pm, so that's great to know to future visits! For drinks, I ordered the Gone Nuts sub oat milk and my friend ordered the Strawberry Cream Hojicha. Both were great and appreciatively not too sweet. Re:Bakesic is on a quiet side street, a block and a half from the Main Street bustle. Step inside to find a coffeehouse-modern combination of minimalist decor, warm lighting, and pastel tones. A trim merch shelf holds coffee beans and drinkware. Diminutive stools are pressed up to round individual tables, while full chairs surround the communal table further back. Contemporary instrumental is intermittently drowned out by the hum of the espresso machine. Stop by right at opening to find staff members filming content and carrying out trays of still-steamy treats. My fiancée and I have been beyond impressed by the pastry case. Broadly, the cookies have been to-die-for. They have the perfect balance of textures, with a chewy center and a crisp rim, and the flavor options are always exciting -- my favorite has been the Corn Cookie with corn kernels and corn flakes cereal. The Oreo Mochi Scone was also memorable. The decadent mochi center enhanced the intrinsic butteriness of the scone, while the Oreo chunks added a "not too sweet" dimension. Meanwhile, the Levain-sized Ube Biscoff Cookie was also next-level. The crisp skim was complemented perfectly by the melt-in-your-mouth, chewy interior; the cookie butter filling provided an extra-rich finish. I was happy to find a new cafe in the neighborhood. The interior is clean and has a comfortable seating area. It looks like a great place to hang out. I've had their Americano the first time I went there. I was not impressed because they don't have an area where I can put my own sugar and creamer for the coffee. I had to ask for it and they put the sugar and creamer for me. The coffee tasted okay but nothing special. Second time I went there, I had the Hojicha Latte. Again I was not impressed. It tasted grainy. I am not sure if that is how Hojicha should taste because it was my first time having that drink. My son bought an Earl Grey egg tart from there. I tasted it and it was delicious. My conclusion is that their coffee is just average. Their baked goods are better than their coffee. However, prices are relatively high for both coffee and baked goods. There are so many coffee shops and bakeries in this area, I hope they don't price themselves out of the market. I do like to support local and small businesses. I am trying to force myself to like this place so bad, so Ive come again three separate times to place different type of orders. My first time I came back and tried a season drink the matcha thai tea which should be a permanent menu item because it is pretty basic I wish they kept it. It paired so well together. Probably one of their best drinks imo. My second time I ordered the gone nuts latte with a sesame cookie. I do think the bakery items are way better than the actual coffee drinks here. The cookie was chewy inside and really flavorful. I liked the latte but again this place is so skimpy with the cream on top, its basically not much. I dont care if there is specific measurements, the recipes should be giving more to the paying customers or we should be able to request it because I do believe the drinks and the company can become that much better with that flexibility and ease. My third time today I made the mistake if coming towards closing and they shut down the espresso machine which honestly doesn't make sense. You should close when you're ready to close the doors then start turning everything off and in this case should close at 3:30pm then and not shut everything off. So unfortunately we couldn't order any hot drinks which they also lack a variety of yummy sounding hot drinks, since the main focus seems to be cold coffees. I went for it again and tried the strawberry matcha and it was kind-of a disappointment and brought me back to the first feeling I felt when I first came here, stingy with the strawberry, and just plain tasting matcha that lacked actual matcha flavor. It could be high quality but hey seriously need to look for a different matcha brand. It was a miss for me. Also tried the osmathus latte and the gone nuts again. Both just okay. I came with my sister after shopping at Sprouts. It's a bit hidden so you gotta look for the sign. My sis has been wanting to try this place. I'm not a huge pastry person but they had such unique flavors, i think it's worth a try. I'm a huge fan of any tea or Asian infused combination so I was able to try the oolong pineapple bun? Really cute coffee shop in Alhambra. Welcoming and the pastry is what I really enjoy here, had a pumpkin black sesame loaf. Moist, not too sweet and yummy! Corn cookie, buttery and oh so good, your able to take a couple of bites and save some for later. Came here after seeing tons of pictures online of their drinks and food, and everything looked so good. I got the Strawberry Cream Hojicha and it was perfect, not overly sweet but full of flavor. We also picked up a few sesame pastries to take home, which were pretty good too. The only downside is that there weren't many pastry options left; by 12 PM most were already gone. Overall, I really enjoyed this little spot. Parking - Plenty of lots nearby, including one right across the street. read more

Such a cute and charming cafe! I had been following Re Bakesic on social media for a while after spotting their adorable, Asian-inspired desserts, so I was excited to learn they were going to have actual storefront. The first time we visited, which was on a Sunday around 2:00pm, they had run out of pastries. The second time, we came on Sunday at 11:00am, there was still plenty. So come hungry and early! The workers here are friendly and the orders come out quickly. Their specialty drinks are certainly some of the most unique and creative you'll find the SGV these days. The Gone Nuts features sesame and peanut cream layered on top of espresso and milk, making for a delicious Taiwanese dessert-inspired concoction. The flavors came through nicely here and was every bit as tasty as it was pretty. The Kinanko Matcha came with a homemade soybean cream layered on top. This wasn't my favorite, as the kinanko powder added a grittiness to the matcha drink and just didn't meld together as nicely as I would've expected. The matcha red bean mochi scone had a good balance between sweetness and an earthy, slight bitterness of the matcha. The chewy mochi was such a great idea but I would've liked a little more of it inside the scone. The ube Oreo cookie was a good size and the ube flavor actually comes through nicely, but the cookie itself was a little dry. I may need to return to try the ube s'more messy cookie one of these days if it ever returns on their menu. read more

The Hojicha Pustachio cookie was dry and didn't taste like Hojicha but the Sesame cookie was tasty and perfectly baked! The Gone Nuts drink was quite disappointing. I think there were too many flavors and it would've been better off separating the drinks as individual Peanut & Black Sesame ones. Additionally, the coffee itself was extremely sour and not brewed well. The cream and sugar help cover it a little, but coffee quality is important to me even in sweet drinks. read more

A new-ish local Asian flavor cafe in the SGV. It has a variety of coffee, tea, and matcha along with various baked goods. Its a cute, quiet cafe and quite a few people were there on a Sunday doing work. You order at the counter, where you can also see the tantilizing baked goods. We tried one of everything available, except the matcha blueberry muffin. Along with the baked goods I also tried the gone nuts latte which is a latte with peanut and black sesame cream on top. I think the drink was good and tasted a bit like a candy bar, so slightly too sweet for me but not bad. I thought my friend's hojicha latte with black sesame cream on top tasted much better. The baked goods were really a let down. Flavors were extremely subtle, to the point of being bland. The various pastries were also quite dry so didn't even have that to go for it. I think the best was the black sesame scone which tasted like a baked version of ji ma woo. My friend did really enjoy the salted corn cookie though. I think the ideas and flavor combos of the baked goods were creative but the execution was poor. I'm hoping they're just finding their feet and will up their baking game! read more

My sister and I came in to try their pastries. They had unique Asian inspired flavors such as black sesame banana bread and oolong pineapple bun. It seems like they rotate the pastries. I really like the different flavors and it wasn't too sweet. The pastries were decadent and memorable. I also got the matcha earl grey latte. You can also get it with oat milk. You can take the earl grey flavor when you don't mix it but once you do, the matcha overpowers it. Overall it is a good drink. The staff were quick to make the drinks and there were plenty of seats. The space was open and would be a good place to catch up with friends. I would come again to try the other pastries. read more
