Went to dinner tonight with a party of 6. We all started with the chips and Guacamole. I personally loved the guacamole since no onions were in it. We all had different cocktails and all were delicious. Then our dinner was served and the chicken mole enchiladas reminded me of my dad's!! everyone loved their dinner. Had an amazing experience at Nómada! Sat outside by the fireplace and the ambiance is cozy and inviting. We ordered the chips and guacamole (the seasoning on the chips is spectacular), oysters, fish tacos, and birria tacos. Everything we ordered was amazing and the quality of the taco was fresh. What made our experience so outstanding was the service. When you come you have to request Carlos. He was knowledgeable about the menu items, made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire experience, and provided service that was fun and friendly. Place is nice and cute, there was nice music playing and the dining room was very elegant. The staff however was mostly anything but. I don't know if it was an off night or what but we had multiple staff members stare at us and walk away while we were standing at the front waiting to be seated. One guy finally came up to us after about 7 minutes of waiting and explained to us that they were only serving tacos during the last hour. We said that's fine no worries we knew that coming in that the kitchen closed at 9. He then proceeded to reexplain to us that we could only order tacos and everything else was shut down. Can't tell if the guy was just being helpful but gave off a " we don't want you to eat here vibe" even though we showed up 2 hours before they close. Me and my partner are POC and the only reason i bring that up is a middle aged caucasian couple showed up after we were seated and we noticed that they were attended to much faster and received a level of service that we didn't quite experience. Not going to go as far as to outright assume prejudice but it definitely felt like we were not the "target demographic" of the place. Our waitress on the other hand i believe her name was Gianna, was extremely lovely, made great conversation and was super attentive and sweet. The food was good, we tried the Ribeye, Carne asada, Birria and duck tacos and all were very delicious, The birria and ribeye tacos were standouts. The rice and beans were okay. I wish I could give zero stars. A friend of mine and I went 2 different times...first time separately. Second time together. I will 100% never go to this restaurant again, This restaurant will NEVER make it for so many reasons but for now I will start with the service. By far some of the worst if not worst service I ever received. We arrived only to find the outside bar was full but they had plenty of seating inside. Kind of a bummer bc the outside is in my opinion the preferred place to sit. There were reserved signs sitting along the bar with open seats. I want to point out that restaurants that use these are douchy in my opinion. We will get back to this later. But that's ok, we will try the inside. Our server was not busy (we were her only table when we first got there) was completely non attentive. She walked up and asked my friend what she wanted to drink. My friend ordered a full bottle of water and then the server walked away without asking me what I wanted to drink (which was ice tea but whatever), I just drank the bottled water that my friend ordered. The food arrived very slow considering the number people at the place. I mean it was 5:30pm..not crowded. She was no where to be found the entire time we were eating and we only ordered an appetizer. We ran out of water and we had to flag down the manager to get it. Finally, she comes by again and asks if we need anything. We said a dessert menu. After waiting for 15 minutes (we never saw her again until we were wakling out), we again had to flag down the manager and ask for the check. No menu ever arrived so we wanted to just leave and put an end to the experience. The manager comes up and asks what we ordered? "Just the app and 2 bottle of water?" We answer "yes", he says your total is $24 and whips out his cc machine. I grab it...no bill to review and swipe my card...by that time he walked over next to me and is hovering over my shoulder while I do the tip. You have got to be kidding me right? The MANAGER is doing this? Who wants someone hovering over their shoulder during tip time? and no check to review? The server said she was going to get our app in before happy hour ended but I dont think that happened since it was 24 for a 14 appetizer and 2 bottles of water but couldn't tell you with no check. Terrible server and manager experience. We go to leave and see that the outside bar has 2 seats on one end open...but still their douchie reserved signs where nobody was sitting on the other end of the bar (seats my friend and I clearly would have preferred and not given when we arrived bc they were reserved). Just when we think things cant get worse they do. The bartender never said hello to us, ask us if we wanted anything...nothing. He looked at us like we were bothering him sitting down. We asked for a dessert menu and order ice cream. After eating and still being ignored we just want to pay the check and get out of there. The manager had been by and so had a food runner that misdelivered 2 different orders to us...so everyone knew we had been inside and were now outside but nobody asked us if all was good. What a good opportunity for a manager to discuss our experience...but no. We asked the bartender for change which you would think would trigger him to think we may want our check and to leave but no urgency there. He took our money and proceeded to make shots and take shots with the other guys at the bar. I think this was the 3rd shot we watched him take during the 25 minute miserable time we had sitting at the outside bar. If the owner of the restaurant is reading, you need a new manager, a new bartender (outside bartender working on 7/6 at 5pm is horrible and I mean horrible) and better wait staff. This place won't be around in 2027 if things stay the same. Take a look at your cameras if you have them. You will be embarrassed. Positives- The outside has a much better vibe (if the terrible bartender is gone. The first bartender from my first visit was great (July 3rd late afternoon). The inside ambience is nice but there is just a weird vibe inside. The chips and salsa are really good. The tacos I got the first time were good, and the cheese app was great and same with the birria bites. For me the service is a deal breaker and I will not be back ever. read more

Writing a review because I think the current ones are harsh! I was an ignite regular and Alejandra's was disappointing. Hesitated to try this since I'm such a Mexican food snob, but it was really good! It feels like Mexico in the patio area, and it's nice and quiet. One of the best margaritas I've had - thanks Danny! We were pretty disappointed in our experience last night. The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful, but that's where the pros end. The service was pretty spotty and we waited a long time for our drinks. The food came out at all different times, one of our guests had her entree for a good 15 minutes before anyone else was served. I got the beef enchiladas and they were COLD, on top of that the white rice was totally undercooked (crunchy). The rest of our group seemed to have the same issues with cold food. Disappointing is an under statement. We arrived during happy hour so the only menu items available were off the very limited happy hour menu. The octopus taco was impossible to eat. Just fell apart and was soupy with bits of potato that looked like they were days old. I got 6 oysters on the half shell. I ate a couple of them and they were fine but then had a really bad one that tasted absolutely foul. The ahi tostada was just weird. The fish was fine but the sauce and tortilla didn't go together. The service was terrible. It really felt like they didn't want us there. The ambiance is nice outside with the exception of the big screen tv playing an action movie on silent just doesn't make sense. We waited for a table for at least 10 minutes for someone to clean it so we could be seated.When we finally got a table she brought us two glasses of warm water and some dried up sala and stale chips. Then she left us to seat another couple who came in about 10 minutes after us and took their order and left without taking ours . She disappered ! Our server (Evan) was top drawer in every respect. Totally on point and respectful in every way. We feel bad he was having to serve the food the establishment prepared. The street tacos were almost inedible - please know this review is not issued lightly - we were actually hoping and looking forward to this new establishment being a welcome addition to our neighborhood. The food was absolutely delicious, I ordered the Birria tacos with the fish tacos as well, and I must say it was the best soft tacos I've tasted in a while and that says a lot considering the fact that good soft tacos can be difficult to make this good Not only was all the food i got amazing (aside from the salsa needing some more flavor), but also the service was good too! Revamped with a lovely decor and ambience, Nomada gave us a truly flavorful dinner experience with a few rough edges which we're confident will get ironed out in time. We loved the use of bold flavors, but the chips and salsa were highly spiced, which we loved but suspect many diners would not. The pork was truly amazing, although a little awkward to eat in a stacked bowl. We came back tonight for their happy hour, and the only real reason to come back would be the bartender, Heather. She was amazing! However, their happy hour prices are pretty steep. First the good: the updated decor is tasteful and bar area looks beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful and cocktails were yummy with good presentation. The bad: the food was disappointing. I ordered a fish taco and a carne asade taco and added beans. The fish taco was underwhelming with no real flavor, the carne asada taco was very good BUT the beans were soupy and the sauce ran onto both tacos. The beans should have been in a small dish or something as it really detracted visually and taste wise from the tacos. My friend had shrimp enchiladas and said they were dry. Another friend ordered tres leches cake for dessert and said it was really dry, not what you would expect for that type of cake. I don't think I would go back for a meal but I think it's a fun spot of drinks and appetizers. read more

Ambiance is tropical and firepits make it cozy and add to the ambience. Outdoor patio = a 10. TV 's in the bar and patio for the sports . Only ONE thing turned us off completely. The overhead music speakers are huge and LOUD. We had a hard time celebrating and talking at our table and asked several times to lower it. No one did. It got extremely loud salsa music later , outside, to the point of being BLASTING and could not hear Each other. We liked it and hope to come back , and hope the music is lowered. Looks like it's hit or miss... went there two weeks ago and the place was good! It was slow, but the wait staff was great and food was good. Went back tonight and the wait staff was not good. We were with our young kids, 6 and under, and time is limited. It took 25 minutes to get a drink, then the 24 oz ribeye came well done when we asked for medium rare. Kids ate their food before they got our steak right. The manager came and said it would be comped, which seemed a little much... we would expect a drink, but not a $90 steak. When the bill came it was for everything, nothing taken off. We mentioned it and the waitress went back to the manager. She told us there was confusion and the manager meant he wouldn't charge us for both steaks... Gee thanks! I'm hoping this is just some links that need to be worked out. read more

We went for dinner on NYE and were blown away. Margs were on point- essential for any quality Mexican spot! We also got to sample 5 different fresh salsas of varying spice levels!
