Have been here a few times now and I love it! The interior is so cute and has a great cozy vibe. Good amount of seating inside in addition to the outdoor space. The cafe is so lovely and the staff are very friendly! They have a great menu with various options. I usually get a breakfasted sandwich and I love how custom you can make it! Recently I got a breakfast sandwich with sausage, tomato, lettuce, and cheese on a croissant. Love! Their croissants are super buttery and delicious. I also got an iced chai latte with oat milk. Really enjoyed it! It wasn't too milky and had a nice flavor. Definitely recommend coming at least once especially if you're already in the area like after the farmers market!

Such a cute lil spot in town. Aside from the bagel I got a chai latte and it was so so yummy! Not overpoweringly sweet and had great spice. The size cup too for the price was very nice. The bagel sandwich was solid. Thick patty and egg. The cheese could have been a lil saltier but it was still good! I got the sesame bagel and it was so chewy and perfectly toasted at the same time. Love! The aesthetic of the inside was super cute and the workers were very nice and quick. Loved the like local cafe atmosphere. Very homey and rustic. Parking is only street parking so you may have to walk but it's worth it!

Overall, I think this place was just... nothing special, and I feel kind of bad saying that. My boyfriend and I came here because we saw a lot of good reviews, so we had high hopes. We both got the bagel sandwiches -- $20 total for two. They didn't even have mayo or mustard, just plain bagel sandwiches. For $10 each, we expected something a bit more memorable. The café itself isn't very aesthetic either -- it felt a little rundown. And look, I wouldn't mind that if the food was truly great, but it just wasn't. I honestly think the sandwiches would've made more sense at a lower price point, maybe $5 to $7. It's not that the food was bad, but it definitely didn't live up to the hype or the price

Box sealed upon arrival/ food not tampered with by dasher.

Made a DoorDash order this morning- there was a whole cockroach leg attached to the wrapping of my food. Upon further inspection of the box, there seemed to possibly be other things besides crumbs? This was found after my coworker had already eaten half her meal. Refund was immediately processed by DoorDash but wanted the community to be aware. Please see attached.

Hot and fast delivery to my hotel. Cheese was still stretching! Really good breakfast croissant sandwich.

Ham, cheddar cheese, eggs, and veggies on an English muffin. So good!

A great spot for coffee, a quick breakfast or an afternoon meet up with friends. You can customize your sandwich with your choice of protein, cheese and veggies and egg in an English muffin, croissant, etc. There's also pastries and lunch options including falafel, and some yummy coffee options. After you order at the counter, your order is brought to your table by their friendly staff. Seating options include tables and chairs inside and out and a few lounge chairs for settling into a great convo with a friend or maybe just having a comfy, peaceful moment with a good book. This place has fueled my day twice, both with coffee and breakfast sandos, which were fresh and filling.

To those of you that are looking for a true hole-in-the-wall coffeeshop in a quieter area of Midtown Sacramento, look no further because "N Street Cafe" will have you covered. This place has been a staple of Sacramento, even before trendier and more expensive places came into town. I even remember passing by numerous times but never had the chance to go inside; due to their limited hours as they are only open for business Monday through Saturday from 7am-3pm. I made the trip here during the morning of Saturday 5/11/2024 at around 8:55am. Located directly on N St. and in between 20th & 21st St's in Midtown Sacramento, this place has a very cozy vibe immediately when you walk inside. You will notice large coffee bean bags attached to the ceiling while the orange colored walls add some pop to the interior. They also have several tables for dining in, a display case that showcases fresh baked goods (pastries, muffins, scones), a unisex restroom, and quick Wi-Fi speeds. I also noticed a small display area that sells bags of chips and even ice cream bars/cones/sandwiches, perfect for the hot summer days. In addition to their generous coffee and even smoothie lineup, this place offers a very nice food selection. It is almost borderline deli as they carry a nice variety of salads, pasta salads, and sandwiches with a ton of bread and meat choices. As for their breakfast, you can also order muffins, bagels, croissants, wraps, and bowls. Since this was my first time here, I went with their "Breakfast Bagel" (for $7.95) that included bacon, scrambled eggs, tomato, sprouts, and cheese. I completed my order with a large iced white chocolate mocha. My drink was ready within 5 minutes (as it was busy) while my bagel was ready shortly after. I proceeded to sit outside and fortunately none of the outdoor tables were being used. The bagel was made perfectly with a nice amount of bacon and eggs nestled inside. it actually filled me up as I got my carb and protein intake to get me through the morning. As for my iced white mocha, this had the perfect amount of espresso; not too sweet and not too bitter. The 16 oz. size was very generous and reasonably priced while being not as expensive as the competition in town. All in all, "N Street Cafe" is a great small business that deserves praise. My rating, an above average four stars.

Hole in the wall place with a couple of regulars it seemed like. The service was nothing above average and the only thing I could confidently say I enjoyed was the cheese danish. My strawberry oat matcha tasted like it was made with strawberry Nesquik & I couldn't taste any matcha. The sandwiches were very bland tasting, definitely were missing a sauce to bring it all together.

So glad I finally went to this place. Such a great atmosphere. The food was awesome and the guy working the counter had A-1 customer service. I definitely recommend this place for others to visit. This is my new spot for a breakfast sandwich. Can't wait to try the lunch sandwiches next.

The food was really yummy. We were walking by and we decided to stop for a yummy sandwich. We had a sandwich on a croissant and a sandwich on a bagel. They both are delicious. The staff was very attentive. It's a must try if you're in the area!

My to-go order is the Hornet on a Dutch crunch roll with everything on it except mustard. Make it a combo with chips and a drink, and you'll have an incredible lunch. The ambiance is different from other sandwich spots in midtown. The chairs and tables are older and worn, and it's small inside, but it's also inside an old house that was converted into a restaurant. That alone makes this place unique. People hang out inside or outside with friends and enjoy the vibes. There's a real sense of community that the Sandwich Spot brings along with uniquely crafted sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are named after people or landmarks in Sacramento. The restaurant is in a really cool old Victorian house, and the staff were super friendly. The interior was clean and looked like a nice place to dine in, but I ended up taking my order to go. I ordered the #19 with turkey, prosciutto, avocado, and swiss on a dutch crunch roll. The bread had just gone into the oven, so we had to wait about 10 minutes, but I can't complain because it was baked fresh to order. Overall, I thought the sandwich was very good, but honestly not quite as amazing as people online had made it out to be. It was definitely good, but I don't know if I'd be dying to go back when I think Ike's, Mr. Pickle's, Corti Bros, and maybe even Nugget or Sprouts make more interesting sandwiches. To me, those places use slightly higher quality ingredients as well, though maybe I just didn't order the best sandwich here. Overall, it was a good sandwich and a good experience. My expectations were probably just a little too high. I wouldn't be dying to come back but also wouldn't say no if someone wanted to go there for lunch.

Were these chips hand-carved by artisans somewhere? Blessed by monks in the moonlight? I'm genuinely curious. The bun, however, was enormous, so the overall experience was like eating a fluffy bread pillow with a whisper of sandwich somewhere in the middle. Honestly, the sandwich felt a bit like a mime, the idea of a sandwich was there, but the substance was invisible. I even wondered if maybe the fillings weren't hungry themselves. By the end I felt less like I had eaten lunch and more like I had participated in a sandwich-themed illusion. Sadly, it looks like I'm Togo's-bound from here on out. The workers have always been helpful and answered any questions about the menu or even helped with recommendations. The ambiance isn't anything special. It's like most sandwich spots with tables, chairs and a restroom for customers. You're probably not pulling out your laptop to do any work or catch a vibe there unless listening to music and sending emails in a sandwich restaurant is your thing. My go-to order is the Amuna's Tuna on Dutch crunch with everything on it except jalapeños. If you're feeling a little lucky, you can get a combo meal with chips and a drink. They also sell big cookies. You also get a nice caramel apple sucker candy with your order. For starters, Ike's has its own way of doing things: plain mayo is not their thing. Only way to get plain mayo on a sandwich is to get lucky that there's a smidgen still left in a jar in the fridge after they prepare their house spread. They mix GARLIC and gawd knows what else for spices to make their Ike's sauce, so allergies beware. They offer plain mustard, but not plain mayo? For seconds, the sandwich bread is not up to the challenge of holding together the mountain of fillings inside. Pics prove my point. I want to eat a sandwich with my hands, not a plastic fork (or a shovel). And I don't want to wear it, not in public. Proportions, people! One size does not fit all. Now, in fairness, the meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato were fresh, chilled, and flavorful. However, IMHO $2.00+ to add equivalent of half an avocado is robbery when a whole avocado is $1 in the market. Fortunately I arrived when there wasn't another person in the store so I was able order up a plain ham and cheese sub with L, T, and A. The counter person was patient as I attempted to navigate the menu board. I communicated my wish for a simple sandwich and it arrived, albeit ridiculously overstuffed and above my budget expectations. Props for kindness and understanding. My first visit to any shop is always testing how well they do basics. So far, I'm not an Ike's fan. I'm no newcomer to sub sandwiches. At 82, and being a Massachusetts native, I've been a sub girl for at least 75 years, ever since I could wrap my fingers around the perfect sub roll. For more adventurous sandwich people, go for broke! This is your place!
