Found this hidden gem for a quick breakfast bagel sandwich. This mom and pops biz has been here for 15 years. Henry, the owner, is the sweetest man and greets everyone with a "hello, friend!" I will 110% return and recommend this small, local, Asian-owned business again and again! Their prices are super affordable, very good value for what you get. And the menu actually has a good variety of sandwiches. The bagels are fresh and chewy. I had the breakfast bagel with ham, comes with scrambled egg and cheese, and I added cream cheese to my "all in one" bagel. It is a hardy sandwich. I just wish the bagel were toasted a little longer for more crunch. Next time will just ask for well toasted. Try River City Bagels (Deli)!!!!!

Forget Noah's Bagels, this is the spot to visit! The owners are the sweetest people ever and the warmth of their shop is unmatched. The atmosphere is so cozy and you can tell they put their heart and soul into their space and products. My favorite part is seeing their daughter's artwork scattered around the shop. It is really small inside but they do have an outdoor patio with seating if you want to wait or enjoy your food there. Their bagels are so good and their prices are unbeatable for the quality you get. I got the jalapeño bagel with smoked salmon spread (yes you read that right and yes it is as delicious as it sounds) and it was the most decadent thing. I almost inhaled it before I could snap a photo. Their closed-face lox sandwich on a sourdough bagel was amazing as well. I love the addition of the cucumber and tomato, it was very refreshing. This will single-handedly replace your habit of going to Noah's. Can't wait to explore more of their menu!

This is my absolute favorite place to get bagels in Sacramento. They serve a variety of breakfast bagels, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and other Asian dishes for a very affordable price. It is owned and ran by a husband and wife. I came here to get three tubs of cream cheese: smoked salmon, jalapeños, and regular, along with 24 bagels. They offered to cut them all in half for me. The bagels were delicious, and that smoked salmon spread was so tasty, definitely the best cream cheese flavor I've ever had. It has real chunks of smoked salmon. The 24 bagels were $36, and with the spread about $58. The most expensive spread was the smoked salmon at $10.99, but it is so delicious and a must try! They also have outdoor seatings on the side.

Not a big selection of bagels but it could be because it's a holiday and it was 10:45am when I went in. The Beagles I did get are delish. Place is small but clean and the lady helping me was very nice. I saw sandwiches and salads on the menu and they all sounded good .

i ordered a sausage breakfast burrito and tbh it was just okay. a little too much cheese for my liking. but they had nice chunks of sausage in there. Very nice folks working here though, and extremely hospitable people! definitely gonna come back here for a bagel soon tho. prices here are very reasonable

Small but mighty! That's the simplest way to describe it. Conveniently located off of Broadway the Small bagel shop has many different options. The owners are very nice and explain their items very well. I first came here a few years ago when my friend introduced it and I'm not sure why I never came back. It wasn't until recently this year. I came by now I'm hooked. My favorite thing to get is the breakfast sandwich on the jalapeño bagel. With a pack of their chili sauce it is amazing. If bagels aren't for you, don't worry they have plenty of other items. Some of the items include sandwiches, wraps, burritos, rice, and soups to name a few. They also have a lot of different coffee variations. Their coffee prices are much more reasonable than over half the places in downtown. They do have an outside patio as well.

I was looking for something to eat for lunch. I found this place through yelp. When I came into the restaurant I was greeted by staff. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I ordered a chicken breast sandwich on a bagel. I also ordered fruit. The sandwich was so good and very filling. The taste was phenomenal and the fruit was refreshing. The ambiance is customer friendly and the restaurant has a small deli vibe. The menu has some great breakfast and lunch options. This is a great place to go for a quick lunch or breakfast.

River city bagels is a wonderful place if you are looking for bagels in near downtown/curtis park area. It's a small shop with side street parking up front and some outdoor seating. Bagels are delicious and fresh, there are so many flavors. I like the cheese and jalapeño bagels which tend to sell out. The cream cheese variety is great too. I honey walnut is amazing and packed with walnuts. The lox sandwich is tasty as well and you can have it on bagel flavor of your choice.

Absolutely amazing bagels! these are fresh baked daily! they have breakfast bagels that are piled with fresh veggies! the service is great. the only downside is its small inside so you may have to wait outside! there is a courtyard to sit! best to call and order for pick up which is what the owners recommend!

I've vowed in 2026 I was going to open myself up to trying new coffee shops as I'm historically just such a creature of habit and it's experiences like Old Soul that make that vow so great-I really enjoyed this place. As far as coffee goes, this is what we ordered.I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted-was kind of looking for something less sweet and minimal sugar,so went with just their plain cold brew($6.00).My daughter went with their Sea Salt and Honey Shaken Espresso drink.($6.75) My Cold Brew was good-though I will admit a little boring of an order when trying out a new place. My daughters drink though-WOWSERS!!!...It was so good-I was filled with instant regret that I didn't go more adventurous with my coffee order and I'd wished I had gotten that one instead-it was really great. In closing-I feel like I'm way late to the party but Old Soul is a really great coffee shop and it has skyrocketed up my coffee shop rankings in Sacramento and I truly can't wait to visit them again. They are doing great things out there-well done. PS-They are located on the corner of 34th and Broadway so parking is 100% street parking-but it's plentiful and really easy to find spots very close-so zero issues with parking here.

Good location too, but the tall white guy barista with glasses is disinterested at best and downright rude at worst. Interacted with him several times and there's never even a veneer of politeness. The last straw was when I told him something was wrong with my order and he just says "okay" then turns away. I didn't even want it remade I just wanted to make him aware, but like c'mon at least fake an apology? Don't work in the industry if you can't even manage to be halfway nice to people!! I'll continue to go to the Weatherstone location, everyone is always cool over there.

The inside is tiny, but there a few tables plus they have tables on the outside which is fun for people watching. They have so many great options for cakes - the Fruit Basket is one of my favorites. The also had a whole display case of pastries! Overall, staff were super friendly and the service was quick. They even offered to write on the cake, free of charge! We'll be back again soon!

I would say the only thing I would like added is a confirmation the day before pickup letting me know the order was ready. But other than that the whole process was very smooth . The bakery itself is very cute and full of delicious looking treats. The staff was friendly as well. I ordered a carrot cake and it was so amazing! My sister loved it! It was very moist, spiced just right and had a lot of the cream cheese frosting that everyone loves! But it also wasn't extremely sweet which I appreciated. QUITE A FEW people at the party stated that they were not normally fans of carrot cake because of the big chunks of nuts and raisins in it...but RAVED about how they loved this carrot cake (it didn't have those things)! They were sad to find out that the bakery is in Sacramento (the party was in the East Bay). I would definitely order from them again and I highly recommend. Thank you Freeport Bakery!
