We were a party of 3 and in order to reserve our spots we had to make a separate deposit of $50 per person. After your meal the deposit either can get refunded or put toward your meal. What a wonderful experience this 18 course dining experience was! The team members provided a beautiful evening filled with so many flavors! There is only fourteen seats, so make reservations. They reserve your seat on your credit card, which is fine since there wasn't a ch ce we were missing out on this evening! I took my friend for her birthday, and when we walked in they had roses for her and at the end of the evening provided a gift to honor her birthday. What a beautiful touch this was. We both enjoyed everything we ate, and each other's company. There is plenty of parking that's well lit, the restrooms were clean, and the restaurant appeared clean as well. By the end of dinner, we both were full and could not eat one more bite. We definitely want to come back for another lovely evening. Taki Omakase in Boca Raton is fine dining at its absolute best. This intimate, small restaurant offers a true omakase experience with a private chef, making every moment feel exclusive and personal. Reservations are required well in advance, and there are 2 seatings daily, 6pm and 9pm, each hosting roughly 7 couples, which keeps the atmosphere serene and intentional. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the entire staff and seated immediately. We were the first to arrive, so I took the opportunity to admire and take pictures of the space before others arrived. The interior is stunning, breathtaking, and transports you straight to Japan! There's a beautiful private room the back which holds up to 8 guests and the personal chef and low to the group Japanese style seating. On the night we dined, we enjoyed an 18 course omakase tasting, paired with 4 sake tastings. The four sake selections were all exceptional, smooth and refined and unforgettable, even though I regret not capturing each of their names. The meal began with one of the most delicious bites I've ever had, king crab served over a warm and decedent custard. From there each course built on the last. We tasted a variety of salmons, tunas; some completely raw, and some aged to perfection for 14 days. Along with snapper, beautifully grilled Chilean sea bass, and many other crafted dishes. I tried Uni for the first time, and I finally understand why it is referred too as 'ice cream of the sea'. The taste, texture and aroma were all exquisite, creamy, delicate and truly memorable. The experience ended with a warm miso soup, followed by a refreshing melon wedge, and a red bean ice cream sandwiched between two very flaky wafers. Every single bite left me in awe. The chefs knife skills, the precision, the presentation, the simplicity of certain dishes which still packed powerful flavors, it all showcased the artistry of true Japanese fine dining. This was more than dinner, it was an experience. My absolute favorite dish? The A5 Wagu. It was heave on earth, melt in your mouth perfection. I'm so grateful my date and I chose Taki in Boca to celebrate a milestone. Let me start by saying, as a self proclaimed omakase connoisseur I am left in awe of this 20 course experience. I assure you, you WILL get your moneys worth. We were greeted by and under the watch of miss Ying who ensured we had everything we needed at all times, our glasses were never left empty and her authentic smile and charisma throughout the night was something you simply can't train. This 20 course experience would not be possible without the guidance and expertise of chef Nathan who with every single course educated each of us (individually) in the most patient and passionate way. His love for omakase made the experience significantly more memorable. The dedication and diligence of the Taki team is Michelin quality. Each dish was a work of art. Every bite simply a "wow". It didn't stop. Even by dessert my jaw continued to drop by how phenomenal the food was in terms of taste, quality, originality, and presentation. Mixed feeling about this omakase. The service is great. The chef is excellent and friendly. The bar is vaste and clearly remind of great omakase bars in Japan. The first plate is an oyster with ikura. It's looking good and ok. Then a chilean seebass hot right after raw fish. Sounds too much. Nigiri were ok but the selection of fish was nothing special, just your regular joe sushi place choices: tuna, salmon, hamachi. No squid, No Urshin, not even shrimp! nothing out of ordinary. The wagy beef yakitori was chewy. The desert just 3 pieces of melon with ice cream burger (really?). I really wanted to like this place, but it was not matching the expectations for the price. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just good for instagram. The issue it's the value, you end up paying $600+ for 2 glasses of wine and 2 omakase. It's probably worth $250 in reality. Been wanting to try Taki Omakase for awhile but was waiting for the right occasion to warrant the price tag. I didn't realize they also had a lunch service for $90 per person a tremendous value compared to their dinner ($200) so we made a ressy to try it out. They have one lunch seating from 1230-130 and it's a 13 course omakase. The interior is beautiful. The sushi bar has a great backsplash of a waterfall wall which added to the whole vibe. The omakase was incredible. Every course was delicious. I will add if your not a fan of Wasabi definitely tell the sushi chef as there is Wasabi in almost every piece. I like Wasabi so I had no issues with this. The courses ended with a sweet treat of a red bean ice cream sandwich and ended promptly at 1:30. They have tea, beer, wine and sake for beverages. My friends took me here for my bday lunch. Interesting choice of spot next to Chipotle but it was a cool experience and it starts right away when we're seated. I honestly don't remember all the dish we ate but all I remembered that it was goooood and each melted in my mouth. Great choices by the chefs! Don't expect to be super filled but rather content. Having been a fan of my dinner at Taki in Delray Beach, I was excited to explore their Boca location. This location is much larger and is decorated beautifully. This time, I decided to try lunch which was a wise choice, especially for someone like me who tends to get full quickly. The lunch deal offered an incredible value, with 13 portions served, each a delightful culinary adventure. I absolutely loved my experience at Taki. Let me just say it was almost like a show. The restaurant style is authentic omakase style where it is a set menu. They would ask you what your allergies are and accommodate your needs. The chef explains each and every dish to you and it is a 20 course meal. Don't let the number scare you, each course is literally a bite size. The restaurant is artfully decorated and they even have a tatami room that fits 4-6 people. We sat at the sushi bar and honestly I think I enjoyed that so much more. The room would definitely be a lot more fun if you go with another couple and want a little privacy. I had a PHENOMENAL experience at Taki Omakase. I've done a few omakase experiences and the one that taki presented was well worth the trip and price. Each bite felt very lux and high quality. The chefs were great about interacting with guests. Our chef explained each bite and answered questions. It really added to the experience. Our omakase included uni, toro, scallops, oysters, Wagyu, and lobster!! This Boca located does two seatings at 6pm and 8pm. I booked our reservation online and put my card on file to pay $100 per person up front for the reservation and the remaining would be paid after the meal. The total cost per person was $150 for 18 courses. I found that this price was pretty typical for omakase with this many bites. After counting our pieces, we def got more than 18! And it included so many luxury pieces. Note: the menu changes weekly depending on what's in season. The ambiance felt high end but didn't feel pretentious. What an incredible experience at Taki Omakase's newest location in Boca Raton. I had the chance to dine here this week and I was expecting it to be the exact same menu as their Delray location that I've been to once. It wasn't! They changed up some things and some of the items that were the same were presented differently. Extremely creative and kept me on my toes. Walking in, their restaurant is gorgeous. It's spacious and doesn't just have a sushi countertop. They have tables and private tatami rooms. Behind their sushi counter, they have a beautiful waterfall wall. They had 3 sushi chefs working the dinner countertop and they were all in sync. We were receiving each course at the same time. They were also taking allergy and substitution requests. Apparently 4 of us on my side of the counter didn't want wasabi added and our sushi chef was very attentive and remembered that for every course he was making. If someone wanted a substitution, he would ask if they wanted to try the sauce or topping that he used on that original course. It was thoughtful! The sushi chefs would ask us how everything was tasting and would smile at us. The service said it all. We knew we would love their nigiri sushi pieces but we were so impressed with their other items that would break up the sushi. The steamed egg was actually my favorite! I didn't get that at their Delray location. I also noticed that they created different tastes with the same types of fish from their Delray location. At this location, they made their A5 Wagyu with fresh truffle shaved on top. Overall, it was an amazing meal and we definitely would love to come back. read more

This location is disarming in a strip mall and the sushi was excellent! Omakase is quite popular these days and I have found the quality to be less than desired but NOT here! The chefs used caviar and truffle beads to add dimension. The fish was fresh and expertly cut. I loved the dishes to start and then on to nigiri. Taki is amazing Delray and Boca, but speaking on this Boca location I would have to say I like the split of kitchen and nigiri dishes as Delray focuses on more nigiri. This was an amazing experience and such a warm welcoming environment, esthetically pleasing. The service is top notch and a must try Omakase spot. I have mix feelings about this Omakase experience. The fish is mediocre compared to the other competitors close by. They are very generous with the cavier and truffle. The display of the wagyu is very surprising, it was minced up similar to ground beef served with riced. It lost the texture and flavor of the wagyu. They promote 20 courses, which may be too overwhelming so a few dishes disappoint. One example is the steam fish with ginger and scallion oil. I've had other omakeses in the area like at sunset sushi and this beats them all by a landslide. Taki Omakase - Boca location. This was the 5th time I have been for lunch. All previous reviews I have given were 5 stars. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for this time. There were only 3 of us for lunch. I have never seen it so empty. The sushi chef did not have the asian flare that I am accustomed to and the music was blaring with rock music. I had to ask the waitress to lower the music twice - it was not at all appropriate with this type of experience. There was nothing special - no tasty garnishes atop the sushi. The rice was a little too wet so some of the rice fell on the plate. This was not a Taki Omakase experience that I was used to. read more

My disappointment is that back 1 or 2 years ago they added extra components to the sushi that elevated the flavors and experience. One of the best omakase restaurants in South Florida and definitely on the level of sushi restaurants in Japan. Coming from someone who has experienced the freshness of fish from Tsukiji Market and the traditional omakase of NYC favorites like Sushi Nakazawa, it's very hard for me to find good sushi in South Florida. I was really excited to see Taki Omakase open in Delray but haven't had a chance to try it but when they notified me they were opening a Boca Raton location right by my house, I couldn't miss the opportunity. With an amazing opening promotion, my husband and I rushed over to experience the difference of Taki. As soon as you enter, the ambiance and decor will calm and enlighten you. The beautiful waterfall and bonsai tree at the bar, the zen garden in the corner and the plush sofa chairs that line the walls for you to relax before your meal all add to your pre-dinner excitement. There's also a traditional tatami room where you can host private parties. The bar sits around 16-17 guests. There's two seating a night as of right now. We went on a Thursday night at 6 PM. We were seated according to time of arrival. There were 5 Chefs working with 3 of them focusing on different sections of the bar and other helping in the back kitchen. Chef David and Chef Ben were absolutely amazing. They mentioned the biggest difference between the Delray location and Boca is the kitchen and the ability to serve hot items as well as cold throughout the courses. That's my favorite way to enjoy omakase. The hot dishes breaks up the traditional cold nigiri sushi and allows the chef to create more unique dishes. I'll mention some of my favorites. DM me for full list. The hot Chawanmushi shrimp with chili oil was so soothing and light. Great way to start. The Hamachi yellowtail with fried chili garlic had a nice complimenting crunch with fish. The Shima aji Striped jack with ginger scallion was reminiscent of traditional Chinese steamed fish flavors with the scallion oil. Loved it. The Otoro with caviar seared with binchotan charcoal was so so good. Just melted in your mouth. The Wagyu with shaved truffle sent me to Heaven. I came back but the Chutoro with seared foie gras and shiso sent me back up. We ended after around 18 courses of delights but had a surprise homemade Japanese cheesecake at the very end. Perfect ending to an amazing night of unique sushi creations with different cultural inspirations. Will definitely be back. read more

Nestled in a bustling plaza between a chipotle and a Middle Eastern fast casual spot the doors are blacked out, so it looks very hidden and exclusive. Reservations are needed and the place only seats about 13 people. The staff were very friendly and followed up with a call before you got to the restaurant asking for any allergies. We've arrived 15 minutes early to grab some drinks before we were seated. The food was amazing the chefs explained every dish. I've been to the delray location as well but love the inside of boca more! It does seat more so it is less intimate than the delray location but i didn't mind it. It's absolutely beautiful on the inside and outside. I wish I got more pictures of the interior but theres a nice waterfall along the backdrop of where the chefs make the food (behind them). And theres a little private room where you can book a private party on the side of the counter. The service as always from taki is A1 kim is excellent and really kind. What I really really love about taki is how they're always changing up their menu, it makes it exciting and draws my attention. The night I went i'd say was half dishes and half nigiri which I really enjoyed. Even though it was pretty busy its nice when the chefs talk to you. Came here for the first time yesterday for lunch with my boyfriend and we were so impressed. The ambiance and decorations are beautiful and the environment is so relaxing. Every food item served was delicious. It was the perfect portion for lunch. Most importantly, the fish was all incredible and so fresh! Places here in South Florida with fish of this quality and freshness are few and far between. We are very picky about our fish and eat sushi very often. We were nervous going in that they wouldn't be able to accommodate me (I have a gluten allergy) but were pleasantly surprised that I was able to eat everything that was served and did not miss out on any bites! The chef made sure to brush my nigiri with only gluten free tamari, and was able to explain what made each of the other dishes safe for me. The fried eel bite was incredible, and I cannot remember a time when I was able to have anything similar since going gluten free many years ago. Many places refuse to accommodate for gluten free guests, so we're so happy we found a place that puts in the extra effort so that more guests can enjoy their amazing food. My girlfriend and I spent a total of $886 for two with tax and tip and a good amount of sake. the sake is particularly a ripoff. at $200 per person the sushi is very good, although not as good as the same meal for the same price in New York City. Okay yelpers, this is a loaded review. I was super excited to come here, every person I told I was coming was so excited for me telling me how amazing it would be. The service was top-tier, Chloe the waitress was amazing and attentive the entire time while the sushi chefs were amazing at the presentation and telling us all about what they were serving. While there was amazing food; notably the chilean Seabass, $500 later I feel like something was missing.
