I'll begin with the service. Susan was extremely attentive, checked several times on our satisfaction, and kept the water filled. She was all about making our visit pleasurable and memorable. We started with spicy edamame. Plenty of pods, the spice could have been stronger, but it was totally enjoyable. My partner had hot and sour soup which she enjoyed, but it didn't come close to my level of expectation. The spicy 3 Way Roll was perfectly done. Not much rice, lots of fish, good flavor profile, an easy way to guarantee return visits. The sushi sandwich was good, but not repeatable. DO NOT EAT HERE! I go 3-4 times a week for their lunch special. I went tonight for dinner, was having an $8.95 salmon skin roll besides my seafood soup, crab salad, shrimp sushi etc. Halfway into my salmon skin roll there was a LONG HAIR! I spit it into the napkin and told the server. The manager came over dangling the hair he pulled out of my napkin and yelled at me that his kitchen staff has short hair. My hair was in a bun. A caveat: Our party of four are not sushi fans so all our orders were from the "kitchen". That said we had a great meal. 5 stars for the shishito peppers, the sizzling chicken and the pad thai. The ribs were only okay. Last night we had a 7:15 reservation. The place was packed. I suspect half the crowd had 9:00 tickets for the Black Box offering which is a 2 min walk away. We opted to sit outside which was a wise decision as it was much quieter than eating inside. Continuing the tradition of treating my nephew and niece to Sushi when they visit, my niece squeezed a dinner out of me before her brother arrives, so here we are again. Salmon avocado roll, avocado roll and the General Tso's tofu all as yummy and delish as ever. The latter seems to have gotten even larger in portion size! I Like my food super spicy so a side of hot chile paste was ever so helpful. Service was top notch as usual and price is reasonable. Hands down best sushi in Boca Raton. We've dined in before at Skyfin and the place is beautiful with excellent customer service. This time, we ordered delivery and there wasn't a single piece left! The Amazing Roll lives up to its name - to die for. The Hot and Sexy Mama and Fantastic Rolls are really great too. The shumai and gyoza are tender and perfect. With the area comes the higher prices for restaurants, with this establishment I feel like the price reflects the quality of the fish. The fish tastes amazing, the sashimi pieces felt of good quality. And over all the boat was very good. My only complaint is it felt like the meal wasn't very filling, could possibly be due to actual sushi being more scarce on the rice leasing to possibly smaller portions. I was in the area shopping and stopped in for lunch. I had looked at Yelp and read they had a good lunch special and good reviews. It is in a strip mall style up a flight of stairs, near a Dunkin Donuts, on Glades road near the entrance to the Florida turnpike. It's not a big place, but well laid out and clean. I was greeted quickly and seated within minutes. There was one server who manager to handle the 10 tables that were occupied with no issue. I ordered the 2 rolls with soup or salad for $12.95 lunch special and a pot of hot tea. I opted for the salad, which had very fresh crisp lettuce, grape tomato's and a few slices of English cucumber. It had a very tasty but not too gingerery salad dressing. I really enjoyed the freshness. I ordered 2 rolls - one was shrimp and cucumber and the other was a shrimp tempura roll. They came beautifully arranged on a plate (see pictures) . The shrimp cucumber roll was delicious - very fresh and crisp and had a really nice flavor. The shrimp tempura came with eel sauce drizzled over it, which made it very tasty. The tea had to steep but was very good and not bitter. I would definitely go back and try other food! read more

Skyfin Asian Bistro is the creation of chef and Hong Kong native Aden Lee. Mr. Lee spent 10 years as the sous chef at MR CHOW inside the W South Beach before leaving to open his own restaurant in Boca Raton. I was invited to dinner by my foodie friend and I am always interested to see what she likes. Skyfin is located in a strip mall. The inside of the restaurant has a classy minimalist vibe with a sushi counter, booths, and tables, and a fluorescent mural. Outside there are a few tables on the elevated patio. The menu includes a selection of sushi rolls, sashimi, house specials, fried rice and noodles. I started my meal with a pot of hot tea and a shared appetizer of crispy tempura vegetables served with an addicting soy sauce. For my main course I took my fiends recommendation of the walnut chicken. The rich flavor of the caramelized chicken paired nicely with the white rice. They have a selection of desserts that include mochi ice cream, fried banana and fried ice cream and tempura cheesecake but we were too full from dinner, I really enjoyed my dinner here. The decor is very nice and I loved the wide range of menu selections. I definitely will try the sushi next time and they offer my beloved bento boxes at lunch. This restaurant is a hidden gem. I'm not from the Boca Raton area but I make time to go and have sushi here. Any time that I go on a roadtrip I stop at Skyfin because it is the best. The sushi is so amazing and I tell everyone I can about it. The fish is very fresh and almost melts in your mouth. I always get the salmon king roll and my boyfriend gets the sweetheart roll. We came here for lunch today... not realizing that they had just opened not that long ago. They are still working out a few kinks -- and they don't yet have any alcohol on site (my husband had wanted sake per the menu), but the food itself was quite good. There is ample parking in the lot out front, but it's a busy center during lunch time with Dunkin Donuts next door and a Greek restaurant nearby. So you may want to come a bit early or late. There was only one guy waiting on everyone plus a gal who assisted with the takeout orders, manned the front register, and also helped serve tables. And one sushi chef was kept quite busy. All staff were wearing masks and they were social distancing the tables inside. There are a few tables in front of the restaurant outside on the deck. They have quite a number of lunch specials including rolls in combination ("sushi lunch"), bento boxes, as well as rice/noodle dishes and "kitchen" dishes. Each choice includes a soup or salad. They provide silverware on the place settings. A small bottle of soy along with salt and pepper is on each table. We requested chopsticks. We both opted for one of the bento boxes. And we both started with salads -- crisp iceberg with a couple tomatoes, slivers of carrots, and a tasty ginger dressing. Each bento box has a section filled with steamed edamame (soy beans), one with 2 pieces of shrimp shu mai (minced shrimp paste in a ball), and 4 pieces of a California roll. In the middle is the usual thin sliced ginger and a dollop of wasabi. My choice of the shrimp tempura bento had two pieces of shrimp, 2 onions rings, and several pieces of squash and sweet potato. The tempura batter was light, airy, and crunchy. Along side they served a separate small bowl of sauce for dipping. The only item I didn't love was the shu mai. My husband's sushi box had 4 pieces of fish over rice. There was salmon, tuna, and two pieces of white fish (hamachi and something else -- maybe escolar). The sushi is "chef's choice" -- no specific fish is listed on the menu. The only slight glitch was that my food came out much faster from the kitchen than did my husbands food -- so I was served first. They did apologize for the delay, however. This location has been several different restaurants. We have been to a couple of them in the past. This one should be especially popular, however. We wish them a long successful run -- so we can come back again. read more

I haven't wrote a review in a year due to the pandemic, but after my meal at this brand new establishment, I had to make my opinion known. The service is the star of the show. I have been to 27 countries and half of the USA, this service is some of the best I have been able to find - even when I visit 4.5/5 star steakhouses & other fine dining establishments. You are getting near - Michelin service at a casual lunch joint. These employees know exactly how to treat their customers. Something I noticed about the establishment - they spared no expense. This aspect translates to the food. Their food quality is top shelf - give or take. I have been to Japan for private sushi dinners. I know that their uni is absolutely luscious! Miso soup was very flavorful. They accommodated my low fat choices when I asked them for sashimi on one of the pre-fix lunches. The atmosphere, as I mentioned, is modern and tasteful. They spent a lot of money renovating this establishment. You will find it lively and enjoyable. Can't recommend this restaurant strongly enough. read more

My wife and I came here for the first time and were extremely impressed. I ordered the spicy sushi plate and krab rangoon (another thing I'm picky on) and it was great. Brand new restaurant form a former sous chef at Mr Chow's in Miami Beach. Truly a beautiful modern restaurant with a huge menu featuring sushi and other Asian items. I started with the Yellowtail Jalapeno, slices of yellowtail and jalapeno with ponzu sauce. Very nice presentation and great flavors. For mains, I tried the Sizzling Seafood with Black Bean Sauce, Prawn, scallops, calamari, onion and bell pepper. Served on a shovel head and comes out sizzling. Very good and flavorful.
