    Tandoori chicken

Went for lunch and the food was amazing! Tasty and FRESH! The butter naan and garlic naan melt in your mouth. The vegetarian thali was enough to split between two people. My son had the tandoori chicken and it was sizzling, moist and delicious! I would MUCH rather eat here than L & L down the road in Apex.

The restaurant is a little too modern and Spartan, they could use more hints of India in the decor. However, my server was very friendly and informative, and my orders came out as quick as possible. My appetizer a Chole was delicious and really good size for the price. If I had known how much food I was getting with the Thali I probably wouldn't have got this appetizer. The lunch special Thali was also delicious and some parts of it a bit spicy even for me. Luckily it comes with a yogurty lassi to help with the heat. Good flavors and worth a try. Glad my friends recommended it to me.

My first time here? So I cannot speak to consistency- which matters to me a lot. That's said- I left thinking "where has this place been all my life?". Stopped in for lunch and it was a real treat. I get so tired of eating places where the food has less flavor than cardboard. They offer low, medium and hot on the spice level- which I thought to be considerate for this country boy- maybe they saw me coming...not sure :). I had the lentil soup and a chicken kabob dish with rice and cilantro. The flavors jumped off the plate- definitely making a wonderful impression. The chicken had a light yogurt crust- interesting and quite good! Even my unsweetened tea was the right flavor and density to ensure it offset the spicy food perfectly. The service was very attentive and polite. The atmosphere is nice and the seating comfortable. Cleanliness seems a priority. Look this place up in Apex, NC if you're tired of boring food. It's good y'all!

We ordered Dum Aloo (potatoes in a butter chicken-like curry) and Dal Fry and we got samosa chole chaat. My Punjabi husband loved all of it. My son loved putting all the rice in his face. We also ordered bullet naan and onion parantha which were good, too. The ambiance inside is quite cute when I stopped in for a menu. It looks pretty stylish and like a great date night place. We can't really comment so much on the service because we stopped in and it was ready. I'm excited for this new place in apex with great food.

    Who knows?

Not gonna try based on the first item on their online ordering menu. They won't say what their samosa is made of or what's in the filling. It's either wheat flour or maida for the samosa, and "generally of mashed boiled potato" for the filling. If you don't know (or won't tell me) what's in the food you're serving, how can I trust that you are competent to cook it?

We came here for a weekday lunch and the place was empty. Nevertheless, service was prompt and food was served hot and quickly. There wasn't a lunch menu and the price was a bit higher than I'd normally like to spend for comparable Indian food. But our food came out quite delicious and the lamb biryani I ordered really hit the spot. I'll consider coming back again, perhaps for dinner.

Service - great! No complaints Food - excellent foods everything we ordered had flavor. Aside from the pictures, I ordered butter chicken too!! Was ever good with the garlic naan. Ambiance - causal and family friendly! Took my two little ones with me.

Glad to see this take over the old Aranda's space. They did a wonderful job of renovating. It had a cool modern vibe. Service was attentive and they made every effort to accommodate our spice levels since one of us can't tolerate very spicy foods. Lamb saag & butter chicken was very well made & flavorful. Mutter paneer was good too. The Baigan Bharta had chunks of eggplant & was well spiced but it was a too salty. The aloo paratha was very good & packed some heat with the unexpected chilies. Prices are higher that what I've been used to in the other Indian restaurants.

Food was great! The samosas were one of the BEST we ever had around the area. We tried the lunch special (basically a sampler of various dishes). The place is located conveniently in Apex near Mr. Dumplings. The service was mediocre. We didn't get to order until 30-35 mins later because no one ever came by. I assume they accidentally forgot. Overall, good place to stop by if you are down for some Indian food.

It was packed for Friday evening with consistent footfalls as well as takeouts. The service was slow to begin with, as well had to call the server to our table. But once the order was put in, it came out pretty quickly. The appetizers were flavorful and done well. The lamb chops were fresh and tender as well as the paneer kebabs. The biryani was tasty and the Rogan Josh had tender meat as well. The kids enjoyed the pista kulfi and the mango rasmalai which had just the right amount of sweet. Overall, good place to try.

We had reservations for 7:30, we were greeted walking in and seated at our table that was waiting for us. Our server was at our table within a minute or so and took our drink and appetizer orders. Our libations were delivered to our table from the bar, via a bartender. Within another fee minutes our freshly made Samosas appeard, three to an order. Fresh, golden brown and delicious. We tried the crispy corn as well, it was also very good. For my entree, the Tandoori Salmon. A delicious meal, well made and freshly prepared. Served piping hot. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. We were seated at their event section since we were 5 people but the round tables are big and did not give that cozy feeling so we moved to their regular area which faces the outside. The tables are a little cramped if you are 4 and more. We ordered mocktails and cocktails for drinks. They all tasted pretty good, main highlight was the Long Island ice tea that was strong and well made. For starters we ordered their beetroot chaat, amritsari fish and their tandoori platter. Fish was really disappointing, the chickpea batter used to fry the fish was still uncooked and we could taste the uncooked batter and spices which was not great. The beetroot chaat was something different but pretty average again. Their tandoori platter was great, everything well marinated and well cooked. Shrimp was overcooked and hard but I would give them 8 out of 10 for that dish. For main course we ordered their daal makhni, butter chicken reimagined and mutton rogan josh. Daal makhni was average and missed that Smokey flavour that it usually has, there was nothing reimagined in their butter chicken really, loads of gravy and very few pieces of chicken, tasted average again. But hats off to the chef for their mutton rogan josh, extremely well made and a must try, delicate mutton pieces in a gravy full of flavor. Their naans were good too. We were too full for dessert and also a little disappointed with the overall food so did not order any dessert. For all this we paid around $250 including tip so I would say price wise it's pretty reasonable. Service was good and fast, no complains there, will definitely go again for few of their dishes that we loved.

It's a tiny restaurant nestled in a strip mall that has tables for dining in, although while we were there a steady stream of customers arrived to pick up their take out orders. A small basket of papadum was served with mint chutney, tamarind, and pickled onions. This was a nice touch and something that seems less and less common these days. Spinach is my favorite vegetable so saag with chicken was an easy choice. I ordered it 9 out of 10 on the spicy scale, so it while it had definitely had heat it was manageable and not punishing. It was very good and I would order it again. My dining companion ordered the Tikka Masala with lamb and not spicy. She thought it was good, but the chunks of lamb were very tough and chewy. The breads were a bit of a disappointment. My roti seemed more like naan and lacked the flakiness of traditional roti. The Peshwari naan definitely had a sweet taste, but was missing the bits of dried fruit and nut that makes it so distinctive. We both thought Basil n Spice was a 4-star restaurant, but the tough lamb and sub par breads bring it down to a borderline 3-star rating. That said, we both thought the restaurant has potential so we're going to give it another try so we can sample the Thai and Chinese dishes.

I didn't realize when I first searched nearby and found this location, but it has multiple cuisine spot. I remember thinking as I was driving over that 'man I wish she liked Indian food' because I hadn't had any in some time. Much to my delight when we got here, I discovered not only were their Thai and Chinese inspired stuff, there was a nice large selection of Indian options. She got some chicken lo main, and I got palak paneer. She got some spring rolls, and I got my favorite Samosas. I introduced her to the papadum and chutneys that were given before the meal and she was a trooper and tried them all. Food arrived, was hot, fresh, and delicious. With the samosas it was too much for me to finish my palak paneer and I'm eating it now as I type this up for lunch on Sunday. Lo mein was well liked, she doesn't have a spice tolerance though and a 3 was a bit much for her. she said the spring rolls were great, and had finished off the lomein she brought home by Saturday night. Really great place you should check it out, they do delivery and stuff, but it was great to go in somewhere in person and enjoy a meal. Not a giant seating area but plenty of room to come in sit down and enjoy stuff.

The crust was not stellar. It was not thin (I prefer thick) but it was kind of limp, not crisp, so it was virtually impossible to pick up a single slice with my hands. I ended up cutting pieces to make them more manageable or used a fork under an entire slice to help support it while I ate. It didn't stop me from eating all the crust, up to the edges, which is my usual modus operandi. The plasticware was kind of on the shabby side. There were a few (less than a dozen) loose forks and spoons (not wrapped) in a station where you get such stuff. Curiously, there were no knives but I thought I would ask if I needed one. It turns out that I did want a knife, I asked the staff, they rooted around a bit, but couldn't find any at first. I keep a small supply of plasticware, napkins, etc in my car so I got a knife from there. In the meantime, the staff did turn up a couple of individually-wrapped plastic knives. I used mine instead and put the knives with the other plasticware for others to use. I ate half of the pizza at the restaurant and I got a takeaway box for the other half of the pizza for dinner. I will probably return to try other things.
