5/5 experience! The friendly staff at Naan Kabob informed us that they recently just started offering dine in service. The food was fresh and flavourful, and definitely a feast for the eyes and stomach! We ordered a half platter "feast" to share along with a dip, and it was more than enough food for the 4 of us. The restaurant is clean, bright, and modern. Definitely recommend!

I think bbq sauce on shawarma should be illegal, it doesn't work at all. I thought Johnny Shawarmas was a lot better than this. This is the last time I will come to Aleppo kabob price wasn't bad for the amount of food they give you but taste was not good at all.

What just happened?…read more I used to love this place. In fact, I would drive 30 minutes each way just to pick up some of those tasty kebabs and that unforgettable garlic sauce. The food was so full of flavour and care, it stood out among Toronto's many Middle Eastern options. Lately, I'd been seeing a lot of their mouthwatering Instagram videos--chicken shawarma piled high, platters being loaded up with garlic sauce and fries, etc.... What can I say? The marketing worked. I started thinking about Aleppo Kebab and decided to order some for lunch via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the meal fell flat. The shawarma was bland, and flavourless. The rice, once fragrant and almost biryani-like, was now just plain and forgettable. The salad was not dressed, the garlic dip tasted like it came out of a can, and the sujuk rolls were coated in a chalky flour residue that made them unappetizing. I'm not sure if this was just an off day or a more systemic issue. But every part of the meal was underwhelming. It's disappointing, especially when I know what they're capable of. They've clearly stepped up their marketing game--but if the food doesn't live up to the hype, no amount of social media will keep people coming back. I'll give it one more try before writing it off completely, but here's hoping the Aleppo Kebab I once raved about makes a comeback. Until then, 2 stars is fair.

Their food is available for delivery on UberEats and DoorDash. My haul consisted of their Sultan with Green Rice, Koobideh kabobs, Joojeh kabobs, ample heaps of polow rice and delicious Ghormeh Sabzi - considered the national dish of Iran dating back 5000 years. It elicits debates among chefs as to which herbs (tareh, parsley, scallion, cilantro, shanbalileh, etc.) and beans to include or exclude. Debates aside, it sure was tasty! Couldn't find a menu in store, either the prices really fluctuate daily on dishes or they make up random pricing. The jury is out in that one! I did note what their offerings were without looking at a menu. Shish kabob charcoal. Halal fresh meats. Ready to eat hot food. Spaghetti with lamb. Beef with safran rice. Chicken leg with cranberry rice. Lamb shank with green rice. Sultan with green rice. Waziri with cranberry rice. Khorma zabzi. Lobya polo, rice with ground veal and green beans. Ghimeh stow. Polow (white rice). Gheimeh (Qeimeh mutton khoresh) stew. Ground veal stick. Chicken kebab. Ayran yogurt drink. Next time I'll order a delivery of their Tahdig, and will try an order of their lamb spaghetti.

Some circular sofas were a bit worn though, like they were used at another restaurant and then moved here. They also serve the traditional Turkish breakfast spread too for $37.99 per person, which seems fancy. We ordered the platter for two, which could honestly feed four people. The meat tasted authentic, by which I mean it was simply grilled with little seasoning, no unnecessary sauces. The kebabs were juicy and flavourful too - you could taste the lamb fat that added some richness. Service was okay, not quite attentive but sufficient. The staff just walked away when we tried to stop them for bill, which was surprising. They offer complementary team after the meal, which was thoughtful. Overall it's a nice dining experience if you fancy some Mediterranean glam. The three dips were yogurt, a spicy salsa, and cottage cheese. I think the best dip was the yogurt. Two plate were ordered, Urfa kebab on the left and Yaprak doner plate. the portions were gigantic. I split the Urfa kebab plate with another person and we were pretty full after that. Barely able to touch the second so we took most of it home. The kebab was beef and lamb. It was very juicy and tender and very flavourful. The bulgur was soft but firm and the cabbage and onion salad was a nice tangy offset to the taste. There was also live music playing and several birthdays being celebrated so it was a bit loud and hard to have a proper conversation lol.

Antos Restaurant is the very best Middle Eastern cuisine you can find here or anywhere else…read more The restaurant itself is unassuming from the outside, but do yourself a huge favour - grab some people you love, pack them in a car, and surprise them with the most soul-feeding meal you'll ever enjoy together. Anto - who manages, serves, and cooks - is a powerhouse of a chef. We got the Anto selection, a large plate of varied skewers which comes with hummus, garlic paste, salad, rice, Middle Eastern pickles, and a tomato based flatbread to scoop it all into. Easily enough for 4 people. It only takes a bite of the sliced cucumber pickle to know you're in excellent hands. Everything Anto puts on his tables are the highest quality, best prepared, most lovingly made versions of what they are. The skewers are succulent, all grilled to perfection so that you can taste what makes each one uniquely delicious while making it hard to choose a favourite. The rice is powerfully flavourful. The garlic paste is light and fluffy with a deep garlic flavour that makes everything it touches pop. The hummus is smooth, without losing any of the freshness of the chickpeas. And the bread - with it's tomato spread and parsley - is the perfect bow to bind it all together, a thin carb with just the right note of acidity to keep you eating until the massive amount of food you thought you could never fish is all gone. Anto himself is loving, generous, and passionate. He's a good soul with an unbeatable talent, and I look forward to enjoying more of his food and company. I wasn't wise enough to take a picture before I ate, but let the empty plates in the picture tell their own story. Come here. Thank you, Anto, for sharing your exquisite food with us.

From the decor on the walls to the high quality tiles there was some legit funding put into this small place. Walking in we were greeted by Anto, who was sitting by himself browsing channels on his television. He quickly sat us down and went over the menu with us, which has no descriptions or pictures. We picked the chicken dishes and ordered some coffee, which turned out to be authentic Turkish style served in beautiful cups and saucers. Packs a punch, too. Anto explained he has two restaurants back home in Armenia and he's also an actor and singer. He reminded me of Peter Stormare from Prison Break. Anyway, he explains how he prepares everything so it pleases the eyes, nose, and tastebuds and he wasn't kidding. The dish was beautiful. From the arrangement to the small details in the food itself (I could eat the roasted jalapeño on its own and be satisfied). Each aspect of the dish was special on its own so eating each part of it was like having several culinary journeys. Anto was also kind enough to give us complimentary hummus and babaganoush. Both were amazing in their presentation and subtle but on point flavour profiles. I wanted to try the tabouli but unfortunately he was out of parsley and it would be a 45 minute wait for the delivery. I will be going back just to try it, to be honest. The meal was so good we ended up ordering two different dishes to go to share with family. The beef cube dish is prepared to perfection and I'd recommend that if you're not into chicken. Everything he prepares is done with fresh ingredients, years of experience, and careful consideration. I absolutely can not recommend this restaurant enough.
