Visited January 9th so not really busy. Coming from Sacramento, CA which supposedly has good Indian food, Naan on Broughton bested most places back home. Service was acceptable, the place could be cleaner but overall the food/prices were great. We had butter chicken and a lamb curry that were cooked very well and had the perfect spice level. Yes! They are doing everything right here. Service was prompt and accurate. Food was cooked to perfection! Everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend. Only thing that lacks is the ambiance. The vibe is a little boring. They could definitely add some Indian decor, comfy booth seating, and Bollywood music. read more

My son had never had Indian food before, and he finally decided to try it. The restaurant was very nice, very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. They even let him taste some of the sauces before ordering. Chicken Tikka Masala- Such a balanced flavor with some heat. The portion was pretty good. My wife and son tore up their own entrees of this. He's actually addicted now and is asking for it again. Chicken Tikka - I ordered this for the larger portion of protein. They give you the Masala sauce on the side so I got the best of both worlds. I could eat some deliciously flavored chicken and then add some sauce to it and rice and it was if I was eating the Chicken Tikka Masala. Amazingly refreshing, highly recommend to have Rasam( in soup section) on a cold or rainy day! This was my first time in Savannah and I wasn't expecting to pick Indian cuisine for a restaurant here but I'm so glad we did. It was very good! I had chicken paneer and garlic naan. We also had tikka masala. This is exceptional Indian cuisine, the taste was just enough spice. The service was good, a little rushed but I don't think it was purposely. This review is based on customer service and NOT on quantity or quality of the food. We searched for a good place online and found Naan. We checked out the entire menu and arrived shortly after. We also checked to order online and some items were $2 more dollars which okay we thought its normal because it was a third party application. Upon arrival, we sat and when given the menus in person it was a completely different menu. Prices were so much higher than advertised on THEIR WEBSITE. I asked the guy who was attending. His response was "this is our real menus and we need to fix the online menus". I asked if i could order online and pick up since the prices were cheaper anyways and he said again that those were not real menus lol. (Mind blown still). We left because clearly this business is scamming you. read more

Wish I discovered this place earlier. The Salmon TIkka Masala was delicious, there are not many places that serve TIkka Masala with a fish, but NaaN on Broughton made it fit really well. The fish was juicy and delicious, cooked in a Tandoori oven so you have that char taste. The Masala sauce fit it really well and I wish more Indian places did this. The Good: The food was absolutely delicious. One of my frustrations with most Indian restaurants when it comes to Tandoori Chicken is they have these red food colored Tandoori Chicken that is precooked. When the order comes in, they reheat that chicken and send it on to the customer. The chicken ends up being dry and tasting horrible. That was not the case here. You could taste the chicken was moist, freshly cooked and it was spicy exactly how we had ordered it. It was perhaps the best tandoori chicken we have had in a restaurant. The Goan Fish Curry was flavorful, spicy and tasty. We were happy with it. So was the Naan. The Bad: For our two toddlers who cannot tolerate spice, we had asked for Very Mild Chicken Hakka Noodle. We had told our server it is for our very young kids and to not make it spicy. He acknowledged it. Their noodle was delivered first. I served it to my girls and the first thing they said was the chicken was very spicy. I tasted it and it was indeed very spicy. The noodle was mild but the chicken that they had fried and added to the noodles was really spicy for the kids. I brought this up to the gentleman who delivered the rest of our food. He said he would check with the kitchen but no one came to check back on us. The service was non existent. Not once did our server or anyone for that matter stopped by to check on us. Our water glasses were never refilled, we were not asked once how our food was! Meanwhile I think most Indians can relate to being treated as second class citizens in an Indian restaurant where white people are present! We were the only Indians at this restaurant and I noticed our server having long conversations with the white family behind us. Finally the Ugly: I took my girls to the restroom and if I saw the restroom before we ate, I would have seriously walked out! It was so disgusting. You could see fecal matter on the rim of the toilet and the toilet seat was so disgusting I feel nauseous just thinking about it. We went to the Public Restroom at Forsyth Park in the morning and that restroom was 1000 times cleaner than this one. Seriously I have seen rest area restrooms on the highway much cleaner than this. If they cannot maintain their restrooms, I shudder to think what their kitchen would look like! Yuck! Definitely do not recommend. read more

We got takeout from NaaN. We had intended to dine in, but as of 3/6/21, they didn't have outdoor seating and the tables inside the restaurant were not spaced out at all. They were also not limiting capacity. We did not feel comfortable inside even for the short amount of time we were placing our order. They don't require masks. Staff were wearing masks, but the guy taking our order took down his mask to repeat our order back to us. Yikes. On to the food: - Samosa Chaat ($5.99): Very, very good. We almost wish we'd just gotten 2 or 3 of these instead of an entree. - Paneer Butter Masala ($14.99): Generous portion of paneer, but the sauce was a little watered down. We've had better. - Plain Naan ($1.99): Good. If this review was based solely on the food, I would've given it 5 stars. However, I just can't ignore the lack of Covid precautions. I was so happy to find this restaurant on Yelp. I was staying nearby and needed a good dinner. It was a quiet evening, and was seated right away. It was a simple meal. Lamb Rogan Josh and garlic naan. I wish I'd have take a photo, but I didn't. The spice level was spot on for my medium heat, and the depth of flavor was amazing. Rice was spot on but the garlic naan was absolutely amazing. In a big fan of Indian food, and this restaurant didn't disappoint on either food or service. We got rained in our Airbnb on my birthday in Savannah and decided to try out some Indian food. Neither my sister or I had ever tried any from a restaurant before. It took a little while to get it, but it was a busy night I'm sure! The butter chicken and naan was amazing! We couldn't even eat half of it because there was so much in our containers. We wound up reheating it as a late night snack the following night and it smelled amazing when it was warming up! We loved it so much that we ordered $100 worth of butter chicken and garlic naan to bring home for my kids/dinner on our final day of our trip. We also ordered Gulab Jamun because I had a student's parent send it in for Holi this year, but wasn't allowed to serve it since it was homemade (school rule). The flavor was great, not too sweet, but I don't enjoy soggy bread textures due to Autism. I don't even really like bread pudding or pancakes that have been in syrup for any amount of time. This place is amazing! I ordered it last night on Thanksgiving as they were one of the few places open at 7pm and (even though the order didn't come quickly on uber eats) it was amazing! We only ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan, but both were so delicious. Im not sure if this dish normally comes with white meat chicken, but I requested it on uber eats and they delivered! I chose medium spice based on other reviews that mild was too mild and spicy was too spicy and we were SO happy with it! If you're completely intolerant to spice, though, definitely don't order the same way we did. We will 100% order again. read more

The garlic naan was good, but the cheese naan was terrific (plenty of flavor and cheese to pair with the chili or butter chicken sauce). I was initially displeased when I say down at this downtown Indian restaurant and ordered okra fries, only to be told they ran out. Fried okra would seem like a core item in the deep south of the U.S. as well as India, so I don't get that at all. However, the samosa chaat I ordered instead had a great mix of sweet and spicy flavors, and my spinach daal was loaded with spices. A bread stuffed with potato and cheese was more than I needed, but tasted eminently fresh. Everything was clearly marked for vegan and GF needs as well. This place also gets high marks for a clean industrial vibe, and was full (as full as one can get these days anyway) of Indian families singing along with the pop music on air. I could definitely imagine a restaurant like this being lazy as there is not a ton of competition, but instead, they have decided to offer a diverse menu and load everything up with whole spices and fresh herbs, as well as to be a haven for special dietary needs. I doubt there's a better Indian restaurant for a long way, so I decided to give them credit and just assume that if they had the okra fries, those probably would have been five star good as well. read more

I enjoyed the naan, the sauce of butter chicken was ok, but especially that amazing Tomato Soup. Make yuh wanna wack your hand on duh table! The prices were Super Dooper. But unfortunately my chicken in my butter chicken wasn't cooked enough. Some were, some weren't, It was chewy, like that texture when chicken is under done. Hopefully this was just a bad time. We went here on Thanksgiving day due to the limited restaurants being open and man it was such a good decision. Following are dishes we ordered with comments included: Mango lassi: decent, had a tangy taste but overall good Masala papad: imo masala was too much and there was an overpowering chaat taste Dal makhni: really yummy and creamy, highly recommend Paneer butter masala: paneer was SO soft and the tanginess in the dish was what made it a yummy dish! Veg Hakka noodles: by far one of the best Hakka noodles I've had in a long time. Well cooked noodles and the ratio of veggies to noodles was perfect. My go to order is: Chicken 65 - 10/10 - a lightly fried spicy chicken appetizer garnished with onion, scallions, and peppers. - Has a decent kick to it if you love spicy food! - The sauce that it's covered in is very aromatic and flavorful. - Amazing texture as well! Garlic Naan - 10/10 - very garlicky! - buttery and fluffy! - probably their most popular naan! Peshwari Naan - 10/10 - my personal favorite! - naan with raisins, pistachio, coconut - buttery and fluffy! - interesting combination of sweet and savory that satisfies your palate - came in piping hot so be careful! Good morning, Savannah Naan! What a delicious find, when I say find we are staying at the hotel across the road. Yesterday we watched so many people come and go from this mysterious restaurant we had to see what it was (we could see the name from the balcony. We love Indian food, and this restaurant doesn't disappoint at all. The service and the people working there are fantastic. Their attention to detail went beyond the normal. Apart from a small confusion over our Naan bread, it was the perfect meal. Well, you'd have to ignore the fact we ordered way too much and consequently ate too much. The aloo gobi was delicious, the butter chicken to die for, and the Scottish (Tikka Masala) perfection. The Naan was excellent, too. We will be back next time we're in town! read more

It is located on the Main Street and a local favorite. You'll see a bunch of college kids frequenting here. Great spot to bring family for some authentic Indian comfort food. The food was authentic and flavorful. The service was fast, the host was friendly and polite. We ordered a bunch of items and all of them were amazing, my personal favorite was the Burnt Garlic Fried Rice. Their Indo Chinese menu is great and I'll come back to try more. The ambiance is casual and chill. Since it's on the Main Street it's hard to find parking but the entire street has on street parking on both sides and some parking decks on the cross streets. Great sized portions and the food was tasty. My mom ordered the butter chicken and I ordered the chicken korma. Both were great but I liked the butter chicken more than the korma. Be careful of the spices when you are eating the korma, I accidentally ate a whole cardamom pod because I didn't see it mixed in. If you are a big "garlic girl" make sure to get the garlic naan!
