Similar appointment scheduling nightmare as some other reviewers... I had a 3:30 appointment, and when I booked it, Sara asked if I could come in any earlier. I let her know that I couldn't & that I was coming directly from work. She said that was fine. Well, I guess it wasn't. I could tell that I was running late & I called from the car to let them know, but no one answered. I arrived 5 minutes after my appointment time, and the door was locked. I called, I texted, I called some more. Nothing. I even wrote an email. No response from the business. Part of me was hoping that maybe I was the only appointment of the day at that Sara was also running late. After sitting outside for 20 minutes, a cancellation notification pop into my inbox. So I guess that's the level of customer service you get from this place. I can't even rate their services, but the experience was terrible and I won't ever try to book here again. I met Sara at a business meeting and learned about the MSM Blow Dry Salon right here in Ashland. Because my grandsons' graduation party was coming up, I was eager to get my hair done. When I called for an appointment, Sara was immediately responsive and found a morning slot for me, even though it was last minute. When I arrived at the salon I noticed the adorable patio tables out front. Sara welcomed me in and asked me how I prefer to wear my hair. I went to MSM dry bar for getting my hair done. Their pricing was very confusing and they added each service separately. Their website says that an up do is $130. I got a half up do which is usually much cheaper to do. They charged me for $50 for a wash and blowout (even though they did not do a blow out and just dried my hair to get them ready for curling), then charged me $40 for curling on top and then an additional $90 for pinning the sides of my hair to the back like a half do. so I ended up paying $180 for about 35 minutes of service for my hair. I think it was unfair of them to charge separately like this And not have one price for an half do. Also my curls did not even hold for a few hours and everything came undone before the evening. I would not recommend using them. I used Dry Bar for my next event who are a lot cheaper and the hair stayed intact the entire day and night and looked great the next day too. Their pricing is very easy and each additional cost actually says "additional" to specify that the cost is an add-on. read more

I have booked here four times, and out of that they cancelled my booking two times and postponed the time another time. So, I was able to go only once. This is little bit frustrating when your booking gets cancelled and postponed. I don't recommend this place. read more

I had Sara come home for a haircut. I was told she offers at home haircuts and during my conversation with Sara on msm whatsapp, she never mentioned that she doesn't do at home haircuts. She tells me she only does home visits for special clientele after she arrives. She comes home an hour and 20 min after her scheduled time, stating road work and being busy as reasons. She comes home truly unprepared, with no spray bottle, hair cut cape or a blow dry brush. I tell her I want to chop off 10 inches to donate before we begin, she cuts the hair at an angle chopping more off. After that, she proceeded to just trim hair without even asking me what look I wanted! I intercepted twice to tell her but she just did what she wanted to! Also worth noting is because she didn't have a spray bottle for water, she wet her hands and used that to cut my pre washed dried hair!!! If u need a haircut, ask your family or friends to cut it for you, I am sure they will do a better job! She charged 70 dollars for a haircut and "blow dry"!! I don't know what she blow dried coz my waves look so bad!! The edges are all off in the front and back. After asking her to correct it multiple times, she just wasn't getting it! She told me she can't do it coz the hair is short! Truly the worst skill I have seen in ages! I am still in shock from this experience and having paid 70 dollars for this crappy service! I had to have her come in because I have a newborn at home! Save your money and go elsewhere! Truly unprofessional and severely lacks understanding of hair! She charged me 25 dollars for cut, 35 for this "blow dry" and 10 for at home service!! I posted pictures on google of the job she did and she blocked the review!!! Super sketchy business!! read more

They best hair in town they do great with kids they have a great Moroccan hot oil treatment and they do great men haircuts.

I was not very happy with my experience here. I had called and asked about the pricing of a blow out and she told me $35. A blowout always entails a hair wash but when I got there she asked me if I wanted my hair washed and told me it would be $10 more. I had no choice since I purposely didn't wash my hair because I knew (I thought) that my hair would be washed for this blowout since you dry the hair with a blow dryer during the blowout so it would've had to have been wet. She then told me at the end she would give me a student discount so everything would be $50. Somehow the price went up even more, when on the phone she had told me $35 before tip. This was a big surprise at the end of the appointment, and overall I did not get what I had wanted for my special occasion as my hair fell flat within 1 hour and was crunchy from all of the hairspray that didn't hold :( read more

I wasn't sure what to expect coming into this salon, but Sarah highly exceeded those expectations. She gave me the best hair cut I have had in years! It was such a relaxing atmosphere, her salon is beautiful and clean. She uses all organic products, which are actually from her own personal line of hair/beauty products! Her products are all natural,and they left my hair so silky smooth and smelling great! I couldn't recommend her salon any higher. And Sarah herself is such a sweet caring person. I make a trip here about once a month for a blow out. She always does an amazing job on my thick hair and it's super cheap! I've brought both my kids and myself for haircuts and I love that they take walk ins. While it is small I actually prefer the size to loud noisy salons. It's clean and the woman is super sweet.
