Killer Kabab (fast food mediterranean) has two locations, with the other being in the Sawtelle area near West LA. There are multiple Kabab shops near the hotel that we were staying, so chose the closest one. It wasn't too busy inside, with plenty of seating so placed our order and paid through the kiosk. The food took a bit of time to come out, delivered to our table. No soda fountain, so got a can of soda ($1.99) which you pick up yourself from the nearby bev fridge. We shared a Mix Grill plate ($21.95), consisting of a variety of things, all of which we enjoyed. The bed of tumeric rice was well cooked. The beef fillet, chicken breast chunks, and the beef kofta were all excellent: very tender, well seasoned, and well grilled. A few grilled vegetables were added, along with a really good plain hummus and pita braed. It also came with two side dips/pastes: a really good garlic paste that went great with the grilled beef and a yellow 'buttery' sauce that was great with the chicken. It also came with a small side salad, and some really tart pepperoncini. All of this added to a good light(er) meal, mixing various tastes and textures really well.

Came here for breakfast Christmas morning. One of only a handful of spots open and taking…read morereservations. It wasn't jam packed, but there were definitely folks in and out during the time we were there. First, I hear the sentiments of a few reviewers regarding tables being close. My love and I speak freely, laugh a lot and have full conversations while dining out, so if anything, there was a point where I hoped we weren't being disturbing to others by simply conversing consistently during our meal, but it seemed fine. With that said, they can definitely create a bit more space between some of the tables. Now the space itself, beautiful. It was Christmas so the decor was festive and a nice touch. We got chicken and waffles and pancakes and sausage, a matcha latte, wellness shot, and black coffee. Service was ok. Our waiter was very kind, all staff were. We did wait a little while for coffee refills. Overall, decent experience.

I ordered a matcha and a spinach and goat cheese omelette. The omelette was ok. It came with a side salad and there were numerous brown pieces in the mix. The matcha was subpar I can literally make a better one at home. Sad. At $9, I definitely expected better than that. The staff was professional. However, there was a woman in the kitchen that was so loud you could hear her in the dining room. It was mid morning - still a bit too early to deal. 3 stars mainly for the matcha disappointment.

Service was attentive and nice. Ordered: calamari, butter cake, shrimp taquitos, steak dish, + coffee cocktail which is flamed tableside. Don't remember the total but it was $158 after tip. Overall, it was a good experience and very enjoyable before a game. Not sure if they do anything for birthdays, since I noted it on our reservation but it was a good time regardless.

If you're heading into L.A. Live for a game or event, Sol Agave has kind of become one of those…read more"default starting line" spots for me... and honestly, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster relationship over the years. First off, the space itself is legit. Big, open, modern Mexican vibe with high ceilings, warm lighting, and a mix of rustic wood + polished finishes. There's a long bar that feels like it's always ready for pre-game action, TVs scattered throughout (CLUTCH for keeping an eye on sports), and some nice design touches, think agave-themed accents, textured walls, and a slightly upscale lounge feel without being stuffy. It looks like a place where you want to post up, grab a marg, and ease into the night. Now... here's where things got a little sideways. We rolled in at 5:30 before a Los Angeles Kings game, and were told we couldn't sit until our full party arrived. Mind you... the place was maybe half full at best. That's a tough one. You're basically telling a ready-to-spend group they can't order drinks yet. That's an easy extra round (or two) left on the table. #ANNOYING That said... once we got past the front door situation, the night rebounded nicely. Shoutout to server, 'Zagid C' and the rest of the staff, they were on point. Attentive, friendly, and kept things moving, which is key when you've got a game clock looming. Big difference-maker. They even brought out a fun little birthday firework moment at the table, nice touch. Happy B-Day, Dan. Food-wise, it delivered. My wife is OBSESSED with the warm beans that come with the complimentary chips, like, borderline fighting-over-the-last-scoop status. YUM. I'm a creature of habit here and went with the 4-street taco combo (steak, chicken, carnitas, shrimp). Solid across the board, good flavor, hits the spot every time. Big portion of food. And yes... I absolutely appreciate the TVs. There's something comforting about being able to track pre-game coverage while you're knocking back tacos and a cocktail. Priorities. Net-net: Sol Agave worked its way back into my good graces on this visit. Strong service, good food, great pre-event energy. But that "entire party must be present" seating rule? BOOOOOOOOO.
