I initially thought it was a faulty valve stem, but the team dunked the whole wheel in soapy water and discovered my rim was actually bent. My tech, Denon, gave me a couple of options: replace the rim or take it over to Cal Wheel Technology. I opted to get it repaired and called Cal Wheel at 3:30 PM. Corey was super accommodating on the phone and told me to head over ASAP so they could try to squeeze me in before closing. I pulled in around 4:20 PM, and they immediately went to work--had the wheel off within minutes! Right off the bat, based on a video clip I showed them, they were confident they could fix it (and promised to call if they ran into any unexpected issues). The pricing was very reasonable. I was back out the door in less than an hour with the repaired wheel reinstalled on the car. I waited 48 hours to write this review just to verify with a PSI gauge every morning, and I'm happy to report the slow leak is completely gone. It's been a few years since I've gotten tires from them and it's mainly because I don't go through tires that fast as I don't commute to Berkeley anymore. Recently Chad had come into my work and I had made a comment that I needed to contact their business to get a price quote for 4 new tires for my SUV and specifically for Michelin tires. He asked the make and model of my vehicle and within minutes of him returning back to Big O Tires I received a phone call from him with the cost for 4 new tires which included mounting, disposal of the old tires and alignment if needed. Of course, living in Petaluma an alignment was a given. He also mentioned that the tires weren't in their store but was only a day or 2 away. Two weeks later I called up to have Chad order the tires and schedule an appointment for Saturday 09/04/21 and mentioned I would drop off the vehicle the day before. A few days later I received a call that the tires were in so I decided to drop my car off on Friday the 3rd during my lunch time. Chad was out for lunch and Randy checked in the car and said he didn't see why they couldn't get the car done by the time they closed at 5:00pm but would have Chad call when he returns. He did call and confirmed that it would be done before 5:00pm. I arrived just before 5:00pm and my car was completely done and all I had to do was go in, go over the pricing, how bad the car was out of alignment (big thanks to the City of Petaluma for the alignment issues) and pay. My first thought was that it was a loose sound deadening pad in the tire because it was inconsistent. I went to a local small business tire shop in Novato and explained my problem. I asked them to dismount the tires and check the pad. Instead, they just balanced the tire and sent me on my way. Needless to say, the problem remained. Same story at another local tire shop. I made two visits and they still refused to dismount the tire and inspect it. Both places charged me for a balancing. Finally I took it to America's Tire. There, Kevin helped me out and immediately dismounted the tire and found the loose foam pad. He put it back together and balanced the tire. Problem solved! It was very frustrating not being heard by the other tire shops, but Kevin was familiar with the problem and helped me out. I truly appreciate a business that listens to their customers.

I drive a German car, and while I'm happy with the new tires and feel much safer driving now, the reason I'm not giving five stars is because when I left, one of my sensors was going off. Their system showed that I needed to drive for about 20 minutes for it to reset. I ended up setting a timer on my phone and driving around until it cleared, which it eventually did, but I was also running low on gas, so the whole thing was a bit stressful. Before leaving, I wanted to make sure the sensor was accurate, but it ended up being something I had to follow up on over the phone with Kevin later, which was fine, but when you're spending over $1,000, that's the kind of thing that would be nice to have double-checked before sending someone on their way. Especially with more particular cars like German vehicles that have lots of sensors. That said, I really appreciate that they offer free tire rotations every 5,000-7,000 miles, and the team works fast and efficiently. Overall, I'm happy with my tires and would come back. One small recommendation: one of the bathrooms had a broken sink, and there wasn't any hand sanitizer available. With so many people using the restroom, it would be great to have that fixed. All in all, a solid place with good pricing, friendly staff, and efficient service -- just a couple of details that could be improved.
