I typically get a bowl with half lettuce half rice, chicken, all the sides, hummus, and harissa. The bowl is packed with healthy ingredients and always very filling. But the best part might actually be the warm soft fluffy pita on the side. I honestly haven't had better pita anywhere else, much less a fast casual chain like Naf Naf. Very affordable as well! Naf naf is SOOO delicious! They have the BEST pita ever. They're so soft and fluffy...like eating a savory cloud. Hummus is delicious, falafel is pretty good, and the shawarma is decent too. I personally love the garlic and skhug sauces. There really isn't a single negative thing I can say about their food. We order online for the whole office quite often. I really like how their catering options come with a really nice setup with chafing fuel, serving utensils, bowls - everything you need! Minimum order for 10 people. I DON'T really like the $30 delivery fee. That is just completely crazy! But I found a way around it! Get the family meals instead. Usually we get 10 count catering, this time we got 3 of the family meals. It seemed like around the same amount of food, just more compact containers. Which actually works A LOT better than trying to clean up the catering set up. Roughly the same price and $25 less delivery. You don't get all the shmancy utensils and stuff though. Fine by me, because we have so many from the last few times! Two of my coworkers have asked that I keep ordering from here, so I will! We enjoyed the falafel Shwarma, and were less impressed by the steak Shwarma. The hot sauce was great, and the garlic sauce was uninspiring. The pitas were fluffy and large. The chop salad, cabbage, and pickles available to add to the Shwarma was tasty. The portions were more than sufficient. The 'Naf Naf Fries,' basically handmade chips, were ok. Ours were not fresh, which probably made a difference. They felt over priced at $2.49. We compulsively grabbed some of their Baklava, which was surprisingly good for being pre-packaged. Naf naf is my favorite Mediterranean chain and this location doesnt disappoint. I ordered a chicken schwarma bowl with basmati rice, 4 falafels, and all the toppings. Everything was fresh and delicious. The space itself is a little small, but not too busy during the lunch rush. The space was clean and the line moved quickly. I'd recommend against ordering a pita, as the pitas themselves are fairly small and not worth what you pay. Definitely get a bowl, as you get a lot more food and a pita on the side as well. read more

My first night staying at the Palmer House, I was looking for a place open after 9 that I could make it to before my face froze off. I found this sorta Mediterranean Chipotle place nearby and decided to give it a try. You go up to the counter and pick either a pita or a bowl. From there, you pick your base, meat, and toppings, and can even get a pita on the side if you choose a bowl. I got a hummus bowl with falafel and it wasn't bad. The falafel tasted reasonably fresh and the hummus was alright. The pita was the best part, as it was super fluffy. Now I might be a bit harsh coming from Houston, where we have some of the best Mediterranean food in the country, but I will say it was nothing spectacular considering the price. It's a decent meal though, and I wasn't disappointed. You get your food very quickly, and the service was pretty friendly. I didn't sit down after some warning reviews about pickpockets, but it looked like there was ample seating. Overall, will do in a pinch. But I'm sure you can find better places with a little bit of time. read more

I went at what seemed like a slow time after work around 6 and the food was pretty abysmal, and none of it seemed that fresh even though there was still a decent but small crowd there. It may have been an off night, I'm not sure. But the Naf Naf on Michigan Ave that's just south of the river is consistently good, and it's not that far from this location, so next time I think I'll go the Michigan Ave one instead. read more

We needed a semi-light bite and Siri, our cell phone friend, sent us here. Perfect! We got a bowl, with ALL the trimmings and with pita on the side and a pita "sandwich", both exactly what we needed; filling, and tasting really, really good. The falafel balls were cooked just right, the babaganush good and smoky, the pickles sweet, the harissa nice and spicy, and the tachina creamy. Prices are excellent in a town where they can soar (in the $7 range for the pita, and the $8 range for the bowl). We were appreciative of their letting folks know that, presently, they are not serving romaine lettuce in the midst of the E. Coli scare (although we have been eating it). Today on 10/17/2024 i went to pick up my order at this location around 2PM, when i got there the Cook goes to the station where the order pick up is located. Normally the cashier is the person who assists people at that station. The cook asks for my name and i give it to him. He then says he needs to "see it" because people are "stealing orders". If i were to steal an order why would i wait to be assisted when the orders are easy to grab? I then show him the confirmation on my phone from the NAF NAF official app that has the order number, my CC last 4 and he continues to say i need a name. I have the official app. I told him it your guys app. He continues to say he needs a name. I told him he was just trying to be difficult. He then grabs my order and aggressively gives it to me. This is completely unacceptable behavior from staff. The cook should be spoken to about his lack of manners when dealing with people or he could simply do his job as a cook and let the cashiers handle the customers. I've gotten my lunch from this location for many years and the young ladies who handle the front are pleasant. I will NEVER purchase anything from this location again. read more

I love Naf Naf grill! Every time I'm somewhere they have a Naf Naf, I make a point to go. This time I had a bowl with romaine as a base, steak as a protein and ALL of the vegetables with most of the sauces. I really love just piling everything in a both and having a scrumptious creation. The best part about Naf Naf is that it comes with a pita. The pita here was amazing, soft and fluffy like a cloud. When I left I was full, but felt full of nourishment. The overall taste was great, loved the Tahini sauce and the mango added a bit of sweet and sour to it, but I probably could've done without it and opted for a spicey sauce instead. Salad and veggies were good and crisp. Sadly the chicken for me was actually not my favorite, it lacked flavor on its own... I needed the sauces. Every-time I'm in Chicago I have to stop by Naf Naf and have some of those fresh made pitas with a beef shawarma bowl and all the toppings, just be careful with the hot sauces... For lunch time expect to make a 10 -20 min like but if you go after 4pm there is no line. They have various locations I have personally been to two of them and the consistency of the food is very good. They also have vegetarian options like falafels bowls and salads so you can still enjoy all the tasty flavors and still being healthy. read more

Horrendous experience ordering from here. We ordered two chicken shawarma rice bowls, and the rice was extremely undercooked and still hard, essentially inedible. We called the restaurant and Randall picked up, who was rude from the start. We asked for a refund, and he said he's "busy" and would have to call me back. I also found out, randomly, that a friend of a friend was a victim of this thief just a couple of weeks ago (the thief also went to CVS). Even with that information, Naf Naf is not taking greater measures. If you want Naf Naf, I suggest getting the food at a different location and definitely not eating there. I'm very disappointed by Naf Naf's lax attitude even in the face of knowing that someone is returning to their restaurant and stealing from their patrons (and will continue to do so)." read more

If you ask me where do u get the best Pita in town Without doubt I'd say Naf Naf. The best I've tried so far. I can never say NO to Naf Naf any given day unless my tummy is full. This place is spacious enough to dine in, of-course gets busy Yuen's lunch hours. There's a long line when I walked in but the staff is working pretty quick to keep the Lon moving. I got the hummus bowl with couscous and chicken. I loved the taste of it as usual. I usually take rice but wanted to give it a try with couscous and for some reason I didn't like the combination. Not the biggest fan of my experience at Naf Naf Grill. My pita sandwich was ripped before it was even filled and I had to eat it with a fork, I also found most of the flavors to be flat and one-noted. I really wanted more options for toppings, and I was disappointed when ordering. The restaurant itself was pretty dirty with food on most of the tables even though it was still before the dinner rush. I'm not very picky about the interiors of fast-casual restaurants, but it wasn't a very pleasant place to eat. I would definitely recommend taking out food if you want to give them a try. read more

Looks like I won't be going with Naf Naf for the catered event I'm hosting at my work. I called this location to get more details on the process, ask about the various packages, and inquire about food allergies/etc. The first woman I spoke with couldn't answer anything, so she passed me off to what sounded like her manager or team lead. This woman immediately told me everything I could find would be in detail on the app/website. She absolutely failed to provide any customer service whatsoever, and to make matters worse she had a terrible attitude. It sounded like she would rather lose my business than help. I ended up here for dinner one night during my trip to Chicago for business a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't get into the Gage, so I went down Wabash looking for something a bit more off the beaten path. I originally stopped into Peach and Green, but nothing on the menu stood out to me, so I decided to hop across the street to try Naf Naf instead. I ordered the chicken hummus bowl ($7 something--too lazy to look up the receipts right now), and I got everything in it except for the peppers. It was solidly okay, but certainly nothing to write home about, and the portion of chicken seemed a bit small. Towards the end of my meal, I realized that a pita was included in a sleeve under the hummus, which improved the experience of eating the hummus. If you haven't been here, be aware of this. If you're a fan of Chipotle, I'm sure you'll enjoy this place, since the food quality and price point, as well as the aesthetic, is very similar. As it were, I'm not a huge fan (heresy, I know!), so I don't get the appeal. If nothing else, it gave me a place to escape from the conference crowd, though, which I certainly appreciated. 3.5 stars. read more

I tried half chicken/ half steak shawarma salad with all of the toppings (slaw, purple cabbage, onions, pickles). The sauces here are fantastic. I love the orange pickled mango sauce. The baba ghanoush was delicious and slightly smokey from the roasted eggplant. The pita bread here is fresh and fluffy. I prefer mine a little more browned, but that is just me. Ok, so me and Naf Naf have been through thick and thin. But let's be real: from the first day I bit into their oh so tender, cloud-like pitas, it was love at first bite. That first bite was a few years ago. Back then, they didn't have a location convenient to my office. So when the craving for a plate full of tender, flavorful veggies and char roasted chicken struck, I'd have to trek 10 minutes up to North Michigan Avenue to stop my incessant drool. It was always worth the effort. And if for some reason I could escape the office that long, no matter, there was always a least a couple co-workers willing to get in on this mouth watering lunch run. "I buy you fly?" It went something like that. Needless to say, when Naf Naf opened on S. Wabash Ave., just steps from my office, I was all over that shiz like white on rice. Man, the addict in me was feasting! The new location did at first experience a few growing pains in the beginning. I was used to the supremely smooth operation of N. Michigan Ave., so at first I was a little critical. But really, this is to be expected at any establishment with a newly hired crew. So what if I have to teach a few employees the meaning of "extra vegetables," one constant at Naf Naf is the high quality of their food. No other joint in the city offers such flavorful, wholesome goodness at this price point and speed. Nothing compares to Naf Naf. And the manager at this location? He is bomb-dot-com. If you ever have and issue and need to speak with him, he won't let you leave until you're smiling. Food Highlights: Gaaaaaarlic Sauce: This is my crack. It is pur white, slightly running and oh-so garlicky! I drizzle on anything and everything. The thin consistency allows it to penetrate all layers of your meal. Genius! I wish I could buy this by the tub and throw it on everything from my scrambled eggs to my pasta. If I could bathe in the stuff, I would. Unfortunately, they never give me enough for that sort of debauchery. Baba Ghannouj: I've seen many different spellings for this dip and I'm not sure which spelling Naf Naf uses. But who cares. You know what I'm talking about: delicious house roasted eggplant blended with tahini and garlic. I do like Naf Naf's hummus, but I often ask to swap it for the Baba, because their Baba has this extra dimension of deliciousness. Maybe they sneak a bit of their garlic sauce to perfect this? Don't quote me, but I'll betchya that's it! Tahini: This is a healthier alternative to the garlic sauce. And it pleases me well. Very smooth and velvety. Pitas: Tender like clouds. Oh my goodness, I don't know how they do it... These are the best pitas I've ever had! Thank goodness they sell them by the six pack. Israeli Chopped Salad: This is a lightly marinated chopped mix of tomatoes and cucumbers. Crispy and delicious. Adds great texture to any dish. Purple Cabbage: A slightly creamy slaw. They serve it sparingly as a topping and it's never enough for me. I love this stuff! Adds great color and flavor to any meal. Falafel: I've never been a big fan of these at other establishments, because they're either dry or tough, or simply don't have any flavor. Naf Naf throws these notions out the window. Just try 'em. You won't be disappointed. I could go on and on... But I think you should just get your butt over there and try it already. I need as many partners in crime as I can get. P.S. Somewhere around $10, which is not bad for a meal downtown. But when i got my food, i realized how much food was really in there. Omg wow, i got almost everything they offered but it was seriously such a big bowl. Also, the service was great. I had a super nice woman help me out and she made my day. As for taste, it was delicious. I realllly love mediterranean food so im so happy i tried this place out. The chicken was perfectly cooked, i loved the mix of cucumbers and oyher veggies, the hummus was so good, etc etc etc. I also got full and it didnt even look like i made a dent. So i took it home and it ended up being another meal and a half!! Thats $10 for 2.5 meals... insane. I love when i can do that.
