I had the rudest experience at this salon. Decided to try this place based on reviews. Went there less than a week ago to have a dip powder manicure. Although the nail tech skinned two of my finger tips to bleeding while filing, I still gave her a $10 tip for a $40 manicure.Dip powder should last close to 3 weeks. Mine lasted 6 days. I went back to have them fix my chipped nails and the owner(?) accused me of damaging my own nails! I asked how she thought I did that and she says, "I don't know, gardening?" This is how she runs a business??? I am a middle aged woman that has been getting my nails done for more than 20 years. Never have I encountered such insulting arrogance. I told her to just remove the polish and not fix my nails. She proceeded to want to charge me for soaking off my polish! Glad others have a good experience here. In honor of Thanksgiving and being grateful for something I decided to post the experience I had yesterday in my new nail place. Of course being grateful for what I am about to post is silly, especially with our latest state of affairs in our universe...however regardless I am grateful! I recently changed my nail salon (after 5 years of loyalty) people who know me well know that if you challenge my integrity... I move on! I had my nails done 2 weeks ago in a small, new place recommended by my daughters friend. I was pleased to see a calm, CLEAN and genuine atmosphere. So yesterday I decided to make an appointment with the owner since I wanted to give this place another chance...yes my nails were falling apart after 2 weeks. She proceeds to (operate) on my nails lot's of pulling, shaping (no pain though) with a look of "don't you worry I'll get you back"!!! May I also say (unlike me) I DID NOT COMPLAIN, she is the one that was fixated on the surgery. After 1 hour of working on my nails on the night before Thanksgiving (place was a zoo) my nails looked GORGEOUS!!! I was ready to pay and she looks at me and explains IT IS FREE! I looked at her and said are you nuts...absolutely NOT! Nope your nails should have lasted longer so it's my shops fault. And here ladies and gentlemen I post about a wise, professional and kind owner named Mung who owns a small business and wants me back!!! So today I am grateful for a business owner who does the right thing and who does not only think of $ especially after a very long day. Thank you Nail Box !!! read more

The owner is rude, nasty, and generally unpleasant to customers. The quality here is horrible as well. My girlfriend got a gel manicure that started chipping the SAME WEEK that she went there. I used to go to them once they opened, but every time my nail chipped or broke, this needs me to go almost everyday to got my nails fixed. The owner was so rude to me like it was my problem that she doesn't know how to do nails!! I stopped going there but my daughter went to do her nails! The same story from day one her nails kept lifting she went back to fix it, the girl who's working there couldn't fix and made a HORRIBLE JOB, the following day all her nails start to chipped when she went back to speak with the owner she was extremely rude to her and made 15 years girl cried. When I went to talk to her about her behavior with my daughter she was extremely unprofessional and has a lack of respect. I stopped in Nail Box today for a Mani/Pedi. I was very fortunate to have the owner Mung perform my Services. They were fantastic....the pedicure was amazing, very relaxing and the attention to detail was spot on! She even told me of a home remedy to use on one of my toes that had an issue! The manicure was wonderful. I enjoyed sitting with Mung as she worked on my hands and talking with her. She is very friendly as well as professional. This nail salon deserves a 0 star rating. I was recommended here from all the positive ratings It may have online but this business as a whole is a joke. The owner doesn't seem to abide by the law of appointments and would rather help her regular customers than any new customers. Once I addressed the owner about the situation she continued to ignore the situation and laughed in my face along with all the other people in the salon. I have never seen such behavior in a business establishment. The salon itself was unorganized and when I asked the owner about a nail polish color she had no knowledge and ignored me. There are many nail salons in the area that do a MUCH better job than this place. The person doing my nails was rushing because the salon was overbooked due to the owners inability to book appointments. Will never waste my time at this dump again. read more

This is a brand new salon in the heart of Englishtown. The owner, Mung,is a young woman who has been doing my nails for years. The salon has a very contemporary feel. Beautiful and sleek. The staff are all very attentive, professional and do an amazing job. Great customer service and of course beautiful mani/pedi services. Mung does a great job. I've gone to her several times but you need to make an appointment with her. I made a one thinking it was with her but I got the guy. He was so slow and did a horrible job.
