I would give zero stars if I could. This was the worst pedicure of my life. I didn't pay much attention to the inside until I was already sitting in the seat. That's when I noticed dirty tools, insanely outdated things, questionable cleanliness. The owner as the one who did my gel pedicure and the polish was literally on my toes like a 1/4 inch down. Took my daughters in for a fillin....they didn't bother to say hello or acknowledge us in anyway. The longer we sat the more I could see there was only 2 of them with 3 people in the pedi chairs and 2 in the manicure chairs. The man began to run back and forth. It was awful. An expensive horrible waste of money. They were rude when they even understood what I was saying. I saved up to treat myself for a very long time and even tipped the man before the end of the session and was devastated at the outcome. I am going back for a complete redo or refund. Came in for gel/shellac "manicure." Was priced same as everywhere else- $35ish, so I figured it would be somewhat quality. The guy was finished in less than 15 minutes, and even managed to side-watch the NCAA finals in the background as well. All of the equipment was covered in other people's nail dust/skin- table, wrist-rest pad, file, cuticle clipper, everything. He only did 2 coats of color (everywhere else I've ever gone does 3 coats of color). I asked if he could do a third and he said no, we don't do that. We all know that when the just painted hand is STILL in the uv lamp for an extra 15-25 seconds AFTER he finishes painting the other hand, it'll be a sloppy job. And sure enough, after all was said and done, the shellac was all over the nail bed and it grew out quickly and peeled right off b/c of that. Likewise, there were about three bubbles here and there. Then when I asked to speak to someone about it, the manager was just as rude. This place is AWFUL! The place is filthy and unsanitary. They rushed through my service and did a horrible job. I visited Nail City for a manicure and pedicure. First of all, when I walked in the shop, it reeked. Not like the normal nail salon smell, but it smelled like corn chips. I was the only one in the shop, so I was pretty excited thinking it will be a pretty fast manicure and pedicure. The woman did my pedicure, and I have no complaints there. She did a very thorough job, and I was happy with the way my feet looked. While she was finishing my pedicure, one of the shop's regulars walked in. She was directed to sit at one of the nail stations. After my pedi, I was ushered over to one of the nail stations and told to soak my fingers. The woman started working on the regular, and I felt like I was forgotten. The guy was working on a pedicure at the time. As I waited and waited, my fingers got prunier and prunier. I was half tempted to say F this, pay for my pedi, and be done with Nail City. In a business that accepts walk-ins, one shouldn't feel like they are shoved in a corner and forgotten about when a regular walks into the shop. Anyway, the guy came over, filed my nails and trimmed my cuticles all the while looking out the front window distracted by people walking past the shop. Then he left me to sit while he worked on a walk-in pedicure. Here I am, sitting, sitting, and sitting some more. WTF people - I was the only person in your shop...give me some love here! The woman finally came over and polished my nails. I was happy with how my nails looked until I noticed that I had three small cuts on my fingertips from my distracted nail filer/cuticle trimmer. I got a fill in on Tuesday. There was nobody in the shop the whole time I was there, and the sign in sheet indicated that no one had signed in for about 1 1/2 hours before I arrived. I selected a dark purple OPI color with glitter in it. They said it was a new arrival. It went on well but by the time I got home, the finish was dull and bumpy. I tried to fix it myself with a clear top coat, that didn't work. I called the shop and told them about the problem and asked if they would charge me to pick a different color. The man was unfriendly and said probably not ,but they would have to see it. I drove back to the shop and again I was the only one there the whole time I was in the shop. The lady did a polish change but she was very defensive about the issue and was really quite rude to me. She charged me $7.50 for the polish change. (I had paid $19.99 plus a $3 tip for the fill in.) She was rough while doing the polish change and treated me very rudely, like I had offended her by asking if she would do the polish change at no charge. The reason I went to the trouble to write this review was the rude treatment and the failure to acknowledge the problem. I will not go back. Maybe they were unhappy about no customers, or maybe they don't have customers during the day on weekdays due to their service issues. read more

The worst pedicure I've ever gotten. In fact, so bad I didn't even let them finish, and I still got charged full price. Barely took dead skin off, cut my cuticle, and used lotion but it was basically pointless as it was washed off. They shouldn't be allowed to charge for horrible work. read more

I needed a manicure with shellac polish, so I stopped in to Nail City (for the first time) yesterday. The woman who did my nails did a TERRIBLE job; she rushed through the entire manicure, she didn't even file my nails, and the polish was all over the place - on my cuticles, under my nails and the polish didn't even cover the whole nail, there were gaps between the polish and parts of my cuticles as if there was two week growth. I complained about it, and she attempted to fix it while blaming it on everything from the polish, to the fact that i have short nails (which no other nail technician has ever had an issue with). What she should have blamed it on was the fact that she just can't paint nails at all. The 'fix' looked almost as worse as the original coat. Instead of having her fix it again and ruining it further, I just paid for it and left. Now I'm sitting here at work with an embarrassing manicure that I will have fixed this afternoon. I just went to Nail City for the first time and I think my 6 year old could have done a better job. I got shellac done on my short nails. In understand I have short nails, but the polish is all over my cuticles etc. The man who did it rushed thru and knew I was upset, but just told me it would wash off eventually. I have had my short nails done a ton of times and have NEVER had such a poor job done on them!!! I really thought he would try and attempt to fix it, but he seemed preoccupied with something else going on there....even though there was only one other client in the salon. Went there for a pedicure the sign on the window said that it was $28. While my sister and I were there nobody else came in at all. This was a Friday around 430. The sign in sheet had maybe 4 people all day. The pedicure was very quick maybe 10 mins. When it was time to pay we were charged 30 each and asked why 30 the sign said 28 and he said I don't charge taxes . But even with taxes added it would have been cheaper than 30 each. When I went outside cause the light was very dim in there I had polish on my shin and clear coat on the skin as well I could have painted them myself better than that. I feel like it was rushed for no reason and the workers were very different and a horrible painting job waste of money and time . read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I will NEVER go back...I've been getting my nails done for years and this was by far the rudest service of my life!! When I went in I was the ONLY customer and now I know why... My nails are totally uneven, the older lady doing my nails was the only worker and she kept yelling at me and swiping my hand away. She even made my finger bleed!!! She was obviously in a bad mood that day and hurt my hands really bad by aggressively filing my nails trying to get done quickly...I was nothing but smiling and polite and they didn't even say goodbye to me!!!! They said on the phone my nails would be 28 dollars but TRIED to charge me 35 because they were "TOO LONG"?? Um what?!? And they have one teeny tiny shelf with barely any colors to choose from.. All the equipment looked so cheap, old and dirty. I left feeling totally mad and upset. I should of read the reviews before I went...Now i'm afraid I might have an infection :( I reallllly want my money back and wish I could leave 0 stars to this nasty place. read more

I went in today for the first time to get a manicure and shellac. I had gotten a patriotic themed shellac at another nail place that I loved but thought I'd try Nails City because it's close to my work. Rather than painting on the stars she asked if sticker stars would work. I thought why not and let her apply them. They wouldnt stick all the way down after many, many coats of top coat. She said that they would be fine. I knew otherwise. I could feel the edges peeling up. I asked her to take them off. She began scraping and pushing so hard that my cuticles began to bleed. That was followed by many applications of alcohol and other burning chemicals on my open wounds. I mentioned several times about the pain. She said and did nothing. There was even a drop of blood on my nail and she painted over it, so they must not care for any bloodborne diseases. She then applied the polish and painted the worst star I had ever seen and asked if it would work. I sighed and said "No, just leave them plain blue." After paying and leaving (No tip), I went to work only to realize that 2 nails werent even dry yet! My nails would have looked decent if it weren't for my puffy, red, bloodied cuticles.
