I found this place after looking through many different nail salons on Yelp and reading review after review. I'm so happy I picked this one. The place is beautiful and my nail tech, Peter was Awesome! He's new and still learning the ropes and my appointment was a tad bit longer than expected, and I wish that there had been some type of compensation for that. He had to get a little assistance, but let me not take anything away from Peter, because he did his thing!!! He was very meticulous. I came in with my natural nails busted and he took the time to really clean them up beforehand. I'm obsessed with my nails. I'm definitely a new client by way of California

I've been coming her for my nails for 2 years now everyone who works at gloss is so nice and friendly. Great pedicures too! They recently moved locations and I thought the original was nice, they really outdid themselves with the new spot just down the strip mall. Tina has been my nail tech for almost the whole 2 years. She always comes up with new and exciting things for my nails I love her creativity. They only do appointments so go ahead and download the "Fresha" app and book an appointment of course I recommend Tina but the entire staff are amazing.

This is THE best nail salon around. It's so clean and friendly and all the techs that work there are so talented. I've never left unhappy and always receive tons of compliments on my nails. They always last long as well. You can see anyone there and leave satisfied. I've gotten both hard gel and gel x nails and gel pedicures. It's hard to find nail techs that do gel x around here but everyone who does at Gloss does it well!

I've been a faithful customer since 2018 and I love it here!!! Suuuuuuper professional, skilled, passionate, patient, knowledgeable..... they do all the latest and greatest. Whatever you want from a standard polish to swarovski crystals they've got you covered. You MUST make an appointment! This place is BOOKED & BUSY like Kelly Price hunty! I mean, they take walk-ins, but ummmmm just don't do it! My fav for softgels- Harry Fav for acrylics- Tina Favs for designs and flair- Harry & Codie Fav for pedi- Michelle But errrrbody is good here, and has their own special touch! Harry is my regular and I absolutely adore him! Anna & Kelly have never done my nails but their work is FIRE! You just can't go wrong here! Don't choke at the prices, it's worth it! Trust me! Nail Gloss filled the void of trendy hip nail salons in the area. A tiny salon nestled in a busy plaza on Hall Road & Hayes (SW corner), Nail Gloss does what Starbucks did for coffee: it's a brand and it's not just about the product, it's about the experience. Extremely clean salon with a number of stations for manicures and pedicures. Pedicure bowls have plastic liner - you know it's clean. Nail drying stations available and a large assortment of nail polish and gel/shellac. Please don't get me started on other options available: stamped designs, powers, bling...you name it, they got it. If they don't, they are interested in what you're looking for. Nail trends and designs are their passion! Stunning nails are usually works of art created by passionate nail artists. That's exactly the kind of experience you'll get here. Staff is super friendly and they do a great job advertising through social media. Great way to get people curious about the business. My sister and I love this place and look forward to our appointments every time! Nail Gloss is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but open Tuesday - Saturday.

Artist wise it's really nice. I dislike they kind of force you be to a loyal customer from the get go. You can't go in as a first time client wanting a full, you have to get a full set. I dislike you have to make appointments, my work schedule is very crazy and doesn't always allow me set times. With that being said, you would think they would open around 8 or 9 but they open late and set appointments by time, meaning you only have a limited time in the seat. Your charged a late fee and a no show fee as well. Very tight ship on nails. I did l lose stones on day 2. It depends on what u Update: Highly upset at how they operate. Because I had 2 cancellations I'm not allowed to be serviced by anyone in the salon anymore. The first cancellation/no show was because someone hit my car on my way to my appointment. The damage is still on my vehicle to show I wasn't lying about that. The 2nd cancellation/no show was due to the fact I am in the process of moving to Italy and business in regards to that took longer than expected. The distance from where I was to where I was. Going was more than the 15 minutes they allowed me. Because of these things I am no longer allowed to be serviced. How fair is that? Things beyond my control? I work 2 jobs btw 11pm and 11am everyday and still manage to make every appointment made from here to Ann Arbor. It's a shame how they treat black clients. I'm not the first, I've seen and heard the nice nastiness towards us. I just assumed the person did something wrong, I now see that is not the case

Just had a men's CBD pedicure. I felt very relaxed from it. Amanda was super sweet and took great care of me. It was a cute, clean shop with friendly staff. Highly recommend.

My gal Codie is my go to person at Nailgloss, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of the artists!! Everyone is super friendly and very professional!! As far as price, you need to remember this isn't just an in and out nail salon. You are paying for their expertise, professionalism, and artistry! I love my Nailgloss crew!!

They discriminate against healthcare workers. On 7/13/2020 the salon posted an Instagram call for a person with bare natural nails. I replied and said I'm interested. They replied (pictures provided). Informed them I'm coming from 45 minutes away. I get to the salon and the only thing I'm told from the owner is to wash my hands and someone will get me. A man approached me and told me to take a seat and he walked away. I sit for a couple minutes then I ask the man what I'm here for. He didn't understand so I showed him the Instagram messages. He then told me I can pick out any design I want for a full set. I ask him for the current trends and he told me to look on their account. So while I'm looking he leaves to talk to the manager and he comes back and says it's free full set and I can pick the design. So then I told him I never had a full set before because I'm a healthcare worker so I was excited. He then walked away to the manager and the manager comes up to me and says I need to leave. I ask her why? She said "hand models cannot give us restrictions and you are a healthcare worker so you have a length restriction". And I told her I never said I had any restrictions and he didn't tell me about any restrictions when I sat down. Then she apologized told the man to leave and told me she can't take me because I'm a healthcare worker. I asked her if she was discriminating against me for being a healthcare worker and she said no we just know healthcare workers can't wear gloves with long nails. And then I told her I didn't understand where she was coming from since I told her I was fine with him doing any design length etc on me. Despite me being nice telling them I don't have any length or design restrictions they still refused to do a manicure on me! On top of that they knew I was coming from 45 min away. I'm very disappointed in this salon and do not appreciate them discriminating against my occupation especially since as a physician I value my career and the patients I take care for especially during the pandemic.

In love with this place!! Will definitely go back here. I had Amanda do my nails, she's great! I wanted matte blue nails and i had her do her own thing for my accent! I made a deposit of $30 before the day of appointment and paid $10 on the day of so $40 in total, worth it!

Owner texted me the next day apologizing to me and asked me to call her because she wanted to refund me. I called and she was busy so the receptionist said she'd pass on the info. Still haven't heard back from anyone. This goes to show they truly don't care about their clients. It was pointless to reach out to me like she was concerned. I see why her employees act the way they do. They get it from her. Update 1/06/2020 If I could give this establishment a zero I would!!! Anne had Kelly call me after "weeks"( Kelly said they were too busy during the holidays to Calle me)... how about come in 5 mins before opening or staying 5 mins after to resolve an issue Anne! Don't just sweep things under the rug! When talking to Kelly she told me Anne basically gave me an ultimatum saying that I can have my refund "only" if I take my review down from yelp. I told Kelly to tell Anne she can keep my money because she's not going to demand that I do anything when I was never in the wrong and tell me that she only give me my refund of I agree to do something for her. That's not how it works. I told her I'd update the review and say she refunded me but I'm not taking it down. Kelly said she had to talk to Anne before discussing it with me. It's been 2 days... Guess Anne is too busy again. I can now see that all her review seem to be amazing because she demands others to take bad ones down for refunds. Why call me before I wrote the first review saying you are so sorry for what happen and you want to issue a refund but then when I call back be too busy to talk to me for a month and a half. I then update the review and now she wants me to take it down and if I don't there's no refund? What about being so sorry and caring about me as a customer. Again this shows how selfish Anne is and how the world revolves around her. Shes very self-centered. To me as an owner and not talking to a customer is the first issue. Im not about to keep playing telephone with employees. Especially when I never called complaining in the first place. The shop called me! I haven't talked to Anne one time. She has other people calling me telling me what she said. How about you get n the phone. I'm done with this. I've already counted this as a loss Anne! Just keep the money and keep thinking you'll be prosperous by not caring and not being fair. May your business be blessed always. Just don't contact me anymore please and thank you!

I like that they use an online booking system, they text you before to let you know what do before coming in. They also want to make sure you love your nails. I got Mani and pedi The artist there are amazing, Hanh is my favorite. The proof is in the pudding

I've seen Amanda and she is lovely and gentle but I've seen another girl who was very aggressive and left me with every cuticle bleeding and infected.
