This nail spot is the BEST around. I've been having my nails done in Burbank for about 25 years, and I never loved it until I found nail ink a couple years ago. They are friendly, clean, and the biggest thing for me is that I never feel like they're talking about me! That may sound weird, but other places I always felt paranoid and not completely comfortable. The owner, Lucy, is so so nice and welcoming. I've had many of the nail techs but Lee is my favorite. I wanted a gel manicure and even though this place is really mainly appointment based, they were able to get me in quickly as a walk in! This was so nice! One thing I like is that they have everyone who comes in wash their hands before sitting down. I can get behind that policy. My nail tech did an amazing job shaping my nails and cutting down my cuticles. I almost wish I had just had her do a clear glossy coating because it looked so good, but in my mind, I really wanted opaque light pink. She used the color I selected and it was pretty sheer, so she helped me pick a different color option that wasn't see through. It really ultimately wasn't the shade I wanted at all and I feel like my nails look like bubble gum. The color just wasn't quite what I envisioned and it seems a little uneven at the beds of the nail. I would try this spot again- they were very accommodating, I just wish the color had turned out more how I wanted! But there's always next time read more

On my continued search for a nail spot in this area! I went with my usual services (gelx and pedicure) and to prep for an upcoming event with family. I was in a bind and needed to find another place with gelx and day of. The person who took my appointment down was helpful and I was able to be seen the day of, as well as the owner/manager walking around to see how things are going and making sure everything is running smoothly. I had two technicians working on my mani and pedi at the same time. The angle of the pedicure station is a bit awkward/cramped if you're a bit taller like myself and having both hands and feet worked on lol but fortunately the pedicure got done quickly so i could stretch out and relax a little more. The techs let me know if I call earlier, I could perhaps avoid that. Other than that, the feel of the nail salon is like a ranch, country feel and is well lighted. The parking lot is out back and theres an entrance for customers at both exits. Might go check it out again soon! read more

I have been coming here for years now and it only gets better and better. Lisa is a literally nail genius and it's the most welcoming environment. They feel like my nail family. The place is clean and comfortable and I love that it's always decorated for the seasons/holidays. I have changed my nail style over the years and they have always accommodated my wacky ideas. Save your money and go to the chop shop two doors down. My tech's name was Quyen (can't remember how to spell it correctly). I requested a gel pedi and I've never received such a half ass service. Hardly any shaping, my nails all look like they came from 10 different feet. She was rude the entire service yelling "foot up, foot down!" Every time my nails needed to cure. The color came out very transparent, she warned me before hand and I was upset about it and I didn't ask her to change it or anything. When I saw the color I said "oh yeah, it is very transparent. This a topper". And her response was "I told you it was transparent but you wanted it anyways. I warned you". Excuse me?? Apparently my comment wasn't enough for her to respond with such negativity. Won't be back. Don't waste your money. I can promise you, the chop shop next door will at least shape your toes (even if they cut one off in the process). read more

Updating my review. 2 days later one nail completely chipped off and another corner on the other hand is about to chip off too. Super bummed and I'm already on vacation. This place is just okay. I feel like the quality is fine but definitely not worth running back for. The seating and set up is kind of uncomfortable because it's just a long booth with a sink for your feet. It feels not as relaxing as the salon massage chairs. I also feel like the services are kind of rushed and feel like I'm annoying them but getting a service done here. I'd say go here if you're in the area and in need of a manicure or pedicure but my search for a good quality relaxing nail experience continues. read more

A few weeks ago, I brought my friend in to get a mani and pedi for her upcoming birthday. I typically have had an okay-good experience here so I thought, "I'd love to bring her to this salon!" We get sat down fairly quickly (we had an appointment) and we discussed with the nail techs what we both wanted. My friend showed a video reference of what she wanted for her nails and then I guess there really wasn't a confirmation if they could do it or not, even after the techs watched the video a bunch of times. They only communicated with each other and not my friend. So they proceeded with the service with my friend thinking she'd be able to get what she asked for. At a certain point I missed a lot of the communication that was or wasn't happening between nail tech and my friend. When I was done with my service, I went and sat next to my friend as I thought she was having a good experience. Come to find out they could not complete the design, in fact, even the style that she wanted. My friend tried her best to make it work and pivot but at a certain point they just flat out said they don't have the tools they need to create the style. My frustration as a friend/customer is the fact that I had faith they would be able to do this service and do it well. I brought her in and recommended this place after all. And it wasn't until AFTER they painted her nails black (reference: she wanted a red jelly cats eye styled nail) that they told her they just can't do what she wanted. The manager, or who I assumed to be the manager, also confirmed they did not have the tools they needed to complete the service..... If you knew you didn't have the tools or at least were unsure if you had them to complete the style/service why did they wait until 1/3 if not half way through the service? My friend did not like her nails, and to make matters worse her nail tech nor manager really did anything to help. The manager said all they could do was discount was $5 since the nail techs did "majority of the service" already. I'm super disappointed with how they handled this situation. My friend ended up having to go to a different salon that COULD actually do the style she wanted. I will note that the manager said that when you book an appointment over the phone, the salon worker is supposed to ask if we wanted a specific design on the nails and typically they'd ask you to send a picture of what you want to confirm they could do the service. Not once did the lady over the phone ask and I don't go super often so how am I supposed to remember to text them a photo? Especially since I don't have their number saved? Again super disappointed with how this salon handled this issue and my friend definitely should've gotten more than a $5 discount without having to fight it. I will note that I also have had a weird experience there. I was getting my nails done for my sister's wedding. When I booked the appointment they did ask me to send over a picture of what I wanted to make sure they could do the style I wanted. They said they could. I get there and we're about half way through the service and I wanted to have these small gold chrome stars on my nails only to find out, again half way through the service, that they didn't have what they needed to do the design I originally wanted. We fortunately pivoted to something I was okay with but again did not leave with the nails I had originally wanted. Sadly with those experiences combined I will not be returning to this salon. I am so thankful this salon was able to take me in on the same day, after another salon was unexpectedly closed. I got dip manicure and regular pedicure. From the receptionist to the nail techs, everything was amazing. Everyone was polite, hospitable, and so professional. The salon itself is super cool, love the decor and the set up of the salon. I love that they have everyone wash their hands before the service starts. The only downside is that there is only street parking HOWEVER, that is not going to be a deal breaker since everyone at this salon was amazing. Highly recommend giving them a try! read more

I went in for a dip manicure and a regular pedicure. The final results were great but I am so incredibly peeved at the fact that several "options" were $5 extra. I have natural nails that were maybe an inch long. Manicurist asked me if I wanted them cut or filed. I asked filed and she said it was $5 because my nails were long. I told her to please cut them to where there wouldn't be an extra cost. Next she asked what shape and I said to keep my same shape which was almond shape. She said that was $5. I told her to chose whatever shape wasn't extra (oval apparently). She then also told me they she waived the $5 extra because my nail beds are too deep. NONE of these prices were listed on the very long list of additional charges on the menu. I dislike when all these little things aren't listed upfront. I feel conned. And even though the final results were good, I had to compromise on things so that these additional $5 charges wouldn't apply. read more

Came here with my mom today for pedicures. Lani, who did my nails, was AMAZING! The 4 stars are entirely for her. She deserves all the praise. She was very sweet, communicative, kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable and that the treatment wasn't hurting in any way. She did a wonderful job on the final product! The only reason this review is not 5 stars is because of the nail tech that did my mom's pedicure. I didn't get her name, but she was very rude, rushed, and never asked my mom what she actually wanted (i.e. nail length, callous removal, etc.) When she was done, she just rushed off without a word. Thank god for Lani, who came back to check on us after our nails were dry and help us BOTH with our shoes. What's worse, when my mom got home, her polish had already chipped and she noticed it was dented/uneven in multiple places. So this other woman did a poor job AND had a bad attitude. I have been going to this place for a year now. I'm so happy to found my to-go-to salon around my area. For years, I have been looking for an amazing nail salon and this is it. What I love about them: friendly staff, they have their own receptionists who are so organized, the nail technicians I have worked with are so nice and very professional and they offer refreshments. The only thing I noticed is that whenever I have a manicure occasionally, after 2-3 days the nail polish starts coming off. I don't know if it is due to extensive washing of hands (I worked at a hospital) or it is just the nail polish. I have not tried gel manicure so I'll do that next time. The prices are more expensive than usual nail salon but very reasonable. Overall, the service has been excellent. read more

She cut everything but the skin around my nail it was just like , what!? and I kept asking her to cut the skin. she starts cutting the fucking nail to the point that I got a little bloody inside cuttin everything BUT the skin. so yeah I'm not happy with my manicure. Pretty bummed after my pedicure here. I scheduled the "me time" pedicure as a birthday treat for myself. On the website, it states that it's a 45 minute service, but I was only seated for 25 minutes. I know it's not gonna be exactly 45 minutes, but only 25 minutes is not worth that price. My feet were in the water for less than a minute! I have never had a pedicure where you don't get to soak your feet! I felt so rushed and unvalued. I mentioned my disappointment while checking out and they were apologetic and gave me $5 off. I was pretty uncomfortable and upset so I just accepted it, but frankly, I feel I should have received 30% off at least since 1/3 of my time was not carried out. If you're looking for a special treat, just go else where. The place is cute and clean but honestly not worth the money and disappointment.
